Friendly, casual, clean hotel.

Very warm welcome, even though we arrived later in the evening. No problem for us to cool off in the swimming pool once we had dumped our bags in our room, as the receptionist would lock up a little later. The hotel is nestled in the countryside, so parking of the motorbike wasn’t an issue.

Seclusion and Amenities are Fantastic

Country living at its best. People were wonderful; the staff very helpful; the food was great; everyone was very friendly. Check this hotel out. It's out in the country and quiet. Can't get over the great food and atmosphere offered here.

For dyrt i forhold til kvalitet

Da vi kom gik indcheckning meget, bortset fra vi fik at vide at poolen ikke var åben, hvilket var en af årsagerne til at vi havde valgt dette hotel, selvom poolen var lukket var der ingen rabat på prisen, værelset var meget indelukket, min kone blev overtalt til at få et glas alkoholfri vin, som var meget lille i forhold til det hun ville have at drikke og til den dobbelte pris, en flaske vand til maden kostede 39 kr.

I får fem stjerner, fordi vi alt i alt fik et fint ophold - og fordi jeg har besluttet at være en flink mand. Sted, værelse og mad - sommermenuen - var bare top, top. Men, men... Sikke en velkomst - eller det modsatte vi fik, da min kone og jeg ankom til hotellet torsdag 12. juni ved 15-tiden. Vi kom ind i receptionen, og i stedet for at blive mødte af en venlig og måske ligefrem smilende medarbejder og et "velkommen til Rold Storkro", var hendes første ord til os "kom herhen, jeg skal bare bruge jeres navn...". Hvor er det bare synd og ærgerligt, at man ikke blive budt velkommen på en varm, glad og smilende måde... En sådan velkomst gør underværker og lægger op til et dejligt op. Og så en anden ting. Efter en lækker middag stod vi op til en gang morgenmadssjusk - underskyld udtrykket, men sådan så bordet ud ved otte-tiden. Og: Jeg ved ikke, hvad I kalder de små runde/ovale brød med birkes på. Men godt for vores tænder, at vi lod dem ligge på vores tallerkner. Har I nogensinde overvejet at udskifte bake off-brødet med enten bagerbrød eller ligefrem hjemmebagt - gode klassiske franskbrød og lige så gode boller? Lav et forsøg og se, om ikke gæsterne vil elske det. Koster det lidt mere? Måske. Men så heller ikke mere. Jo vi fik alt i alt et fint ophold, men ikke et ophold, der blev mindeværdigt og kunne få os til at anbefale jer til andre. Jamen det var jo kun små/mindre ting, der manglede? Ja, men den store og gode oplevelse ligger sandelig også i detaljen.
