Excellent stay and great food

Fantastic place to stay. Comfortable room, great food, and staff very helpful and friendly. Located very close to the Pennine Way hiking trail. A great place to stay as part of a hiking trip.

Lovely country pub stay

Beautiful, comfortable room. Amazing shower! No noise from the busy pub downstairs at all so slept wonderfully. Friendly and efficient service. Gorgeous food too!

English mustard

The room was spotless, the selection of beers and the friendliness of the locals in the bar was excellent. I had 2 pints of Barnsley bitter, which went down a treat. We ordered 2 Sunday roast, which came after a bit of a wait. I asked for some English mustard, I like a little with meats, as I think many others do. Unfortunately all that could be found was American mustard, maybe ok with burgers but not with British beef. A little thing maybe, but a shame English couldnt be offered.
