We didn't stay in the hotel, and I never thought I would recommend a Best Western to anyone, but I'm doing that. We went there with Swedish friends to see the gallery of paintings by Anders Zorn, a most remarkable artist, and stayed to have lunch. There are only a dozen or so Zorn paintings, and they aren't his best, but they're still well worth seeing. They were donated by the rich philanthropist Lars-Goran Blank, who deserves to be more widely recognised. Anyway, after looking at the paintings we went through to have lunch and were treated extremely well, to put it mildly. And there were three more Zorn works on the walls, which was a bonus. But the other bonus was the delicious lunch and the attentive service. It's a pretty ordinary dining room, but well set out and excellently spaced. The menu is on a board, but the staff tell you about it, which is a welcome addition. The buffet is really very good indeed.. All I'll add is --- go there for lunch and enjoy.
I stayed here overnight while touring "Arn Country" with family. The room had everything needed for a comfortable night. The bed was very cosy. Breakfast the following morning provided a continental buffet that was delicious. The night was really cold and wet outside- so we spent the evening in the restaurant where we enjoyed a meal and a few beers. Beers expensive- but so are all beers in Sweden. The art gallery gave us more enjoyment for the visit. Skara is a nice place- and the stay here made it more enjoyable.
Nice hotel Good clean room nice size in the countryside of Sweden. Good price and easy to find and free parking. Breakfast was very good but restaurant choice was not that big and the service not the best.
We are very happy with our stay at the Best Western Plus Jula Hotell & Konferens My wife and I stayed at the Hotel for two nights on a vacation trip. The location is very convenient just outside of the center of Skara. Although located next to E20, the traffic could not be heard in the room. Parking is free. The rooms look newly refurnished and are very clean. The Breakfast selection is very good. We did not miss anything. The stuff is very friendly. Olivia at the Front Desk helped us extending our stay for one night and cancelling the next Hotel because my wife did not feel well. Thanks a lot. We can truly recommend this hotel and will stay here again if we are in this area.
Stayed on business. The receptionist was helpful, the room clean and comfortable albeit a bit small, the food of excellent quality and choice. It is by the duel carriageway but is OK with windows closed. I would use again!
Good service, reasonably priced and clean&functional interior. As a big plus, the walls in the restaurant and the other ground floor rooms are decorated with Swedish early 20th century art! The hotel is really worth stopping on the way from Stockholm to Göteborg.
Very good experience in hotel. Hotel is on a nice location. Hotel was managed really well. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Nice feeling in hotel, Food could have been little better in dinner but breakfast was good.
Stayed here one night when on the road. We we're pleasantly surprised by the hotel since we had no expectations at all, just looking for a hotel where we could stay one night when traveling a long way by car. The room was spacious and nice looking. The breakfast was also nice. The location was on the boring side if you are looking for a place to stay when on vacation. But perfect when on the road and just looking for a place to sleep.
This hotel is well located for visits to Skara or when travelling from Gothenburg to Stockholm. Car parking is plentiful and free. My single room was rather small and dark with uninspiring but adequate furnishings. The restaurant was very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is well known locally for its unusual set of original abstract, nude and landscape paintings in the public rooms. Booking through the Trip Advisor website gave a 30% reduction on other hotel booking sites.
The Jula hotel is located very close to the E20 Gothenburg-Stockholm. A bit outside the city center of Skara but nearby you will find shoppingcenter and MD. Also close by the Lokals have football grounds, ishockey, svimming arena and more. Rigth infront of the hotel there is a good parking area. Very nice welcome from the staff and well informed about the hotel, had a room on the 2 floor to the backside of the hotel and did not have any problems with noise from the nearby road during the nigth. Free and fast wifi. Rooms nice but small, all very clean, bathroom ok. Did dine in the restaurant in the evening, had a burgermenu from the barmenu, and this was very good, a bit to the expensive side but the quality was top. Again also the staff friendly and proffesional. After a good nigths slepp we had a good breakfast with all we could ask for. Checking out fast and friendly. The hotels location is very good for seeing the birds at Tranedansen less than 20 km away towards Falkenberg. Can recomend this hotel for business and pleasure and will if in the area again use it.
