It was a fantastic short vacation! We were greeted by the friendly reception at any given time of the day. Anything you need, they will help you - Anne, Tiffany, Harry and Zik. They were the great team who helped us during our stay with them. Got spacious room nearby tourists spots, malls and all! We hope to be back again!
I was staying in Singapore on business for a week, and instead of a hotel, my company managed to secure a good rate for these apartments. The apartments are in a medium-rise tower block in Chinatown, a few minutes from the MRT station. The reception is manned and there are always staff available if you need anything. The apartments themselves are modern, stylish and have plenty of space. Everything you could expect from a managed apartment. There is an outdoor pool which was perfect on a warm Singapore evening! I literally could not have asked for more - great apartment, great facilities, great location (Clarke Quay is behind the apartments, Chinatown has plenty of food options, Marina Bay is a 20 minute walk, give or take), great staff. The free shuttle buses to the business area are a bonus too.
Noise noise noise this is the only way for me to summarize my stay in this weird place. Windows from our flat was really closed to a bar where drunk young people was screaming or even fighting every night until midnight, 1 or 2 AM. Police came at least three times in 5 nights this is really super nice when you and your family booked a nice hotel for vacation. The worst is not only there because after the first night, I, of course, asked for a change in order to get something quiet and nothing happened before night number 6 knowing we booked for 7 nights you can imagine how angry I can be by this lack of respect and consideration. On the top of this there is a huge building construction closed to the swimming pool so you have a weird view from there associated with a lot of noise. Complementary breakfast was just weird too with almost nothing after 9h30 while breakfast closed at 10 AM. Finally these guys offered me 70 bugs as a kind of Compensation knowing I paid my week around 3500 Sg dollars here again more than a joke it is a even disrespectful. In conclusion I really spend the worst week of my life on this hotel and I clearly not recommend to anyone to try it.
The place was very convenient as it is nearby groceries, mall, hawkers, restaurants and even 711 was just a few steps away! Their customer service was just perfect! Special mention to Anne, Tiffany, Harry and the rest of them including the guards and cleaning staff! We really enjoyed staying in your apartment.
What a great hotel, I cannot fault this property in anyway :) you are welcomed by the front desk staff with big smiles (Anne, Tiffany, Shahira, Zikry, Harry & Joseline) and then once checked in Tiffany personally shown us to our room and explained all the instructions very clearly. Very clean and has all you need for your stay. We are a family of 4 and found the rooms perfect and would recommend this hotel to anybody, we would certainly stay again. The facilities here are very good, laundry, pool, gym & sauna all very clean and very handy. The breakfast wasn't to our taste so we made full use of the kitchen provided. Very close to all you amenities like Chinatown and Peoples Park (brilliant for street food and very cheap), shops and supermarkets. An overall excellent location and fantastic staff, nothing is to much or and trouble.
Stayed at Village Residence for 6 weeks as a temporary housing arrangement. Service was good, with a really helpful and friendly front office and cleaning staff. The team really made the difference and provided an enjoyable stay. Location is good with China Town and Clarke Quay in walking distance, so it was always new things to discover and enjoy. Lots of food and enjoyment locations close by. The rooms and furniture are a little bit dated, but still in good condition.
This is my second stay in three months at Village Residences Clarke Quay. My daughter had been living there and we joined her for a few days This place is truly fabulous. All the front of desk, security and housekeeping staff are just brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile. The apartments are clean and serviced very well as well as spacious. We asked for an extra bed to be placed in the room and they were also mindful to supply extra towels and bed linen. The ‘handy’ phone that was supplied with long term let is exactly that - handy! It was great to be able to stay in contact and is invaluable for local information and Google Maps. If there is one comment, I would say that the apartments now require some updating but it would not deter me from staying there again if I were to visit Singapore.
The staff at the hotel were excellent and made our stay a very pleasurable experience. My wife and I would particularly like to acknowledge Tiffany who was always helpful and courteous to the extreme. The hotel is in a terrific location right in the centre of the Clarke Quay / Chinatown precinct.
Location - walking distance to Clarke Quay and Chinatown station, lots of eateries nearby i.e. Hong Lim hawker, Chinatown food centre, Maxwell food centre. NTUC Fairprice is nearby too. Near to Raffles Place and Ctrl Square bus station is just right at the doorstep. Staff - Warm hospitality. Always greeted us with a smile. Very accommodating. Housekeeping service conducted thrice per week, so our apartment is always spotless. Facilities - Swimming pool and gym are well maintained. Breakfast spread is limited but we are okay about it, the ladies are very friendly. They provide complimentary parking as well. It was a wonderful experience throughout our 1-month stay, however something to take note is that they only provide basic amenities (except toilet rolls) upon arrival, you have to purchase once you have run out of them. Thanks for the warm hospitality!
We recently returned from an 8 night stay at Village Residence Clarke Quay & loved it. The 2 bedroom apartment met all our needs & more. The apartment was very nice, the location great & the pool was a delight to come back to after a long day of sight seeing. Best of all was the the front of house staff, all including security were super friendly & helpful. A special thank you to Vikry, Harry & Tiffany. I would love to return there some time. Judy Rector
