Good location.. staff while being accomodating was generally unhelpful and somewhat arrogant.
I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights, the experience was great. The room is spacious and clean, with a good view. The breakfast included is descent. The hotel is about 10 min by taxi from the Marina Bay Sands hotel. Just next to the hotel, there is a large district with various small local shops, which gives you the idea of local life. Shopping malls and money changers are within 15 min walking distance. Also, every taxi drivers know this hotel. The hotel service was very good, the front desk is very professional. Highly recommended!
I left some items in my hotel room which magically disappeared from the property apparently. Very disappointing.
Wonderful location. Be careful if you get a room on the bottom floor in main building (108) as it is next to a night club and noisy and the tobacco smoke seeps in to the room (which is supposed to be non-smoking) . We were advised this was an up-grade room ? The hotel reluctantly switched us to a room across the Courtyard. Other than that it was fine and close to many restaurants and shopping! We would go back .
The hotel charged me early checkin which was equalent to one day room rent. Need refund
Had a wonderful experience staying at Village Hotel Albert Court. This is my preferred hotel every time I am in Singapore. Great location and walking distance to Little India and Bugis. Convenient to MRT stations LI and Rochor. Quiet hotel and well maintained in a quaint street.
this hotel is nicely located in little india, close to many stores and facilities and the MRT stop for little india... the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the slight problem is that walls are not insulated for noise, so you can hear what others talk in the neighboring rooms...
As you probably know, hotels in Singapore are quite expensive in terms of its quality and service. Taking this into consideration, this hotel is quite reasonable - its room is relatively huge and has a bathtub.
I booked a pricier hotel first, which then fell through. So I expected less when I re-booked. But the place was impeccable. Wonderful design hinting at colonial splendor, excellent room (I took pictures of the bathroom to send home) and great location for someone who loves the hawker stalls at Little India. I am afraid that I won't get a similar deal again in the future.
