Had a wonderful experience staying at Village Hotel Albert Court. This is my preferred hotel every time I am in Singapore. Great location and walking distance to Little India and Bugis. Convenient to MRT stations LI and Rochor. Quiet hotel and well maintained in a quaint street.

this hotel is nicely located in little india, close to many stores and facilities and the MRT stop for little india... the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the slight problem is that walls are not insulated for noise, so you can hear what others talk in the neighboring rooms...

As you probably know, hotels in Singapore are quite expensive in terms of its quality and service. Taking this into consideration, this hotel is quite reasonable - its room is relatively huge and has a bathtub.

I booked a pricier hotel first, which then fell through. So I expected less when I re-booked. But the place was impeccable. Wonderful design hinting at colonial splendor, excellent room (I took pictures of the bathroom to send home) and great location for someone who loves the hawker stalls at Little India. I am afraid that I won't get a similar deal again in the future.

After a long flight we needed a comfortable room to rest and later we wanted to take a walking tour in Singapore. This hotel is very good to do this two things.

Great spot- very convenient, also peaceful. Would stay again.

Great location, close to many things but no hassle. Staff was great. Would stay here again, no question.

Lovely hotel. Melvin at the front desk was so helpful and really made me feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back when I can stay longer.

When the taxi dropped me off at the Hotel at around 2:30 pm on a Monday morning, the doorman took out my 40 lb. bag from the taxi and left it there for me to drag it to the reception area, hoping he will come back to assit later, didn't really matter to me at first. Once I got my key, the receptionist showed me where the elevator was while looking at me like normal as I pull my own 40 lb bag and one backpack to the elevator which was 2 flight stairs up and around the corner. Is this a Hotel or Motel? And once I settled in my room, I noticed there was a kerosen like odor inside the room or coming from the hall way, not sure, so I went down and reported that, was told some one will look into it. So I left for the day. When I came back, the receptionist told me that they have refreshed my room and to let them know if I still smelled it, it was better but the smell was still there and there was other generator like noise coming from the closet too....I mean I felt like I'm in the back room of a machine shop or some sort, didn't bother going down, my time was preciousbing as I was there for only 2 nights. During my checkout, breakfast which was supposd to be served b/n 6:30-10:30, the lights weren't even turned ON by 6:40 am, and I don't even see a soul there preping. Not comfortable at all. Way too expen$ive for nothing really. Don't tell me location, please !!! I can walk the entire city within 8 hrs.

Staff was helpful, close to Little India and shopping

I needed to spend a week on business in Singapore and was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a good location. I came across Albert Court and read the on average good reviews. I was not disappointed. The hotel is relatively small - a kind of boutique hotel. I liked the personal touch. The staff was very friendly, the room (I booked the club room) was all I expected, and the breakfast, internet and laundry were included. Overall a very pleasant experience at reasonable price. I'll stay there again the next time.

I spent very litle time in the hotel, due to the compressed nature of my program, but my experience at the hotel was excellent; definitely a 4 star experience. The location is excellent. Right on Bukit Timah Road, there were plenty of buses to the NUS' Bukit Timah campus where I was visiting, for $1.30 per ride. For getting around to other places, it is only 4 minutes walk to Little India Metro station. And about 10 minutes walk to the 24hr Mustafa Shopping Centre in the heart of Little India, where I was able to shop at 2am. I am happy I chose this hotel.

We booked this as a last option, the rate we paid were double than normal, but every other hotels were booked due to some local event.

hotel location is good, near MTR and Orchard road.but the receptionists were unprofessional and need more training in phone talking.the room facility is nothing better than Motel, and furnitures were dusy, carpet need renovated.Totally its the worst hotel experience ,I stayed one night then moved to another five star hotel near Marina Bay.

Albert Court Hotel is situated within a 5 minute easy walking distance to shops, markets, boutiques, coffee shops and great restaurants, to the nearest MRT station, and a 15-20 minute drive to the airport. Though the room was on the smaller side, it was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating. I would not hesitate to book another reservation at the Albert Court Hotel on a return trip to Singapore.

The staff were friendly and helpful, that is the plus here. For a family on holiday and on a budget, is is a good place to stay. It was quiet at night, but noisy during the day. The thing that Singapore is noted for, construction and noise. Outside my room across the road was a jack hammer running all day. Made for a less than restful time, as my main purpose there was rest and recovery from a long hard arduous business trip to India, and to finish out the years documentation. Internet is slow at 11MBPS, wireless rate. Should be upgraded to a new N series.

For Singapore, I believe the Albert Court hotel is a good value for a hotel. It's location is fairly convenient to the Bugis MRT and one appreciates the smiles from the hotel staff one encounters.

Overall a good hotel

The hotel is located near Little India which means you have to take a train to the waterfront or downtown. It is a nice and clean hotel with nothing missing for a short stay.
