Location wise, this place is the tops. Right beside a Subway Station, and very near two major museums. Catholic Church less than half a kilometre. Albert Hawker Centre and Bugis junction equally close. Also, more pleasant and less bustling than Orchard road. The lobby is small just like the rooms. Clean but tight like Japanese hotels. For a big guy like me, it was a minor ordeal to use the water closet. Also, They do not provide face and hand towels and no trash can in the toilets. Shower space was fine though. It has a pool which looked inviting though we did not get to use it. A gym as well. Driven access is at the back which has the service areas along an alley way, seemed peculiar but I guess it’s common to Singapore. Would stay again but perhaps a bigger room and I will make sure to bring a wash cloth!

Positives : Fantastic view from our room - 924. ideally located very close to Bencoolen MRT (Singapore's excellent metro) and certainly within walking distance of the waterfront areas (if you don't mind a walk in the tropical heat). Also quite an arty area as next door to NAFA art and design university. You can even go and see their exhibitions for free in their spacious art gallery. Hotel and rooms very contemporary, with some interesting decor... Probably because the proximity to NAFA. Particularly liked the lip shaped seating in the pool area. Has a pool and loungers by the pool and small garden area - all on the 3rd floor. Has a washing machine and drier next to the pool area. 5 SGD for each. The hotel supplies the washing powder. Negatives: Breakfasts are taken in the Bistrot de l'olive next door...if you've got a deal including breakfast. We were not impressed. The buffet food in tureen Which should have been hot was either lukewarm or cold. The selection not that impressive. The fresh fruit (mainly melon) was in a bowl of water with ice cubes. Consequently fruit tasteless. We mentioned to restaurant staff about the cold food after 2nd day. Still same problem on 3rd day so we complained to hotel. They didn't quibble about giving us a refund for the following 2 days so that we could chose our own breakfast venues. Would have been nice if they'd offered reimbursement for the full 5 days. Room very compact. Not enough sound proofing. Baby next door woke us up with its crying (first night). Then neighbour on the other side came in at 2am and left music on all night (don't you just love those in considerate travellers?) Very little storage space. Probably good enough for a two or three night stopover. Only supplied 1 thin pillow each and 1 towel each. I'm sure they would have supplied more if we'd asked but some times you don't want to gave to. Room was not cleaned sufficiently one day and toilet left dirty. No lounging area other than the pool area....just a couple of seats in the hotel lobby. Swimming pool VERY cold as it doesn't get the sun on it. My husband wouldn't brave it. I only went in twice in 5 days and I'm a keen swimmer. Hence why we chose this hotel. Only 4 pool loungers and a couple of tables and chairs. On balance we think it a reasonable hotel for the price. Singapore is expensive. Just don't bother with the breakfast.

We stayed at V hotel Bencoolen. A central hotel just a few steps away from two MRT stations. Staff were very pleasant and helpful with taxis and general information. Plenty of restaurants and malls in the area which has a nice local feel. Walking distance to Orchard road and bugis street. The rooms were rather small but since we were out most of the time it wasn't too bad. Not much of a choice in the restaurant for breakfast. Would happily stay here again.

Went with boyfriend for honeymoon celebration Hotel in excellent location and near to Orchard Road Rooms were clean as we were duly greeted by all staff every morning Rooms were small but we were upgraded to a slightly bigger room Would certainly visit here again

This hotel is situated in a nice location, closed to the metro station and many places to visit but nothing more because is missing in the basics. Rooms are really small and there is no space for the baggage. Every morning I was used saying " good morning " at the peoples working at the reception: they never answered me back, no a word ! they were used to look at me with a neutral face and nothing more, no a word! Every single morning for 10 days. Not Bad! And the same scenario happened every night. Rooms are dirty, I used to leave some dirt on the floor to check the cleaning service and they never, never removed that in 10 days. The breakfast (included in my package ) was served in another building, that means that you need to exit from the hotel's building to reach the place to have ALWAYS the same breakfast...can you imagine to have the same breakfast for 10 days ? Service was rude in the hotel and restaurant, always! after 10 days we changed to another hotel ( a wise choice). I will not come back...

Staff very friendly , and room is clean and tidy , if breakfast varieties range can increase it will be very good , overall everything is good , near to the bugis shopping district and very convenient to be cooler metro and Bas bazar metro

The rooms were quite tiny and I think expensive for what was provided. Noisy...can hear next room baby cry and TV noise. Reception area is very drab and not much interaction with front desk staff ( although they are efficient not warm). The location was best feature close to many attractions.

Environment near hotel is excellent plus close to the mosque. Easy to get halal food near hotel area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is a bit small. Also it is close to MRT station for easy transport. Shopping complex very close to the hotel.

We stayed here for 4 days. The staff is exceptional. Always so kind and eager to serve. Especially Henry, who serves with a genuine smile. You don’t have to worry about anything because they are all so helpful. Location is great. Rooms are a bit small, but it’s clean and has most of what you need. Elevators are quick and efficient. Downside is going out of the hotel to eat buffet breakfast that is next door and serves mostly Indian/semi-spicy food. Overall, super great! Highly recommend!

V Hotel is one of the new hotels in Singapore. I stayed in its branch along Bencoolen St. in Bugis district because of its convenient location ... close to the MRT (Bras Basah or Bencoolen) station, the National Museum of Singapore, the Arts Museum, and the shops and malls along Orchard Road and in the City Hall. I stayed in one of its Superior Double rooms with a very nice view of the city. It had all the basic amenities I needed and look for in an accommodation ... a queen size bed, AC, TV with cable channels, shower with hot water, good internet and wi-fi connection, etc. The price was within anyone's reach. I paid only about SG$115 for it (or roughly US$86) per night. I stayed there for two nights, by the way. The price included a complimentary breakfast, which was outside the main building itself. I had to go to a restaurant next door for it. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. This is one accommodation in the city I would certainly return to. :D
