For business reasons i visited Singapore already for 7 years and stayed always at Sheraton, arriving by taxi from Shanghai Airport always friendly welcomed by Sebastian! Although only once a year for a short stay Sebastian always give me a warm welcome an recognitie me. Really a pleasure to see him each year. He is also giving good recommendations for restaurants, interesting attractions etc. Looping forward to the next stay. Warm regards, Fred/ Amsterdam
Had good experience with the hotel staff and services during my 10 night stay with them. But I was frustrated with having almost same things / same setup for the breakfast during my 10 days stay. Easy access to all famous locations like Orchard and etc. + near by (100m) to Newton MRT station
Personal was friendly. But room was smelling... In the morning I had time, normally I do not... And wanted after sport to take a bath... There was the surprise: everywhere moister and spores or mold. This was disgusting! I was really not expecting something like this in a 5 stars hotel. Breakfast too expansive.
A good position and an important structure but a prompt renovation is necessary. The moquette in the corridor and in the rooms smells due to humidity and the fan do not work properly to reduce the effect. It’s a pity
Although not the best in location, as points of interest are not so close but not so far either, the hotel has a very high standard of quality and it is a pleasure every time I stay here. Important to mention the deference to platinum members and the quality of the executive lounge. Attendance of guys like Daniel, make it very pleasant to enjoy the lounge, and make me consider the Sheraton Towers as my next option again.
The hotel is nicely maintained but seems to be an older building. Definitely a smell each time I entered the room. Small thing but toilet was quite low to the ground and has not been updated to newer standards, also, as happens at many hotels the toilet paper holder is behind you (which is a pet peeve of mind). Bath Towels were ok in fluffiness but average in size. Staff was very responsive and helpful on a number of requests. Biggest issue is location. As noted, close to MRT which will take you everywhere but if you just want to walk to something near by, not much luck. Orchard is a 10-15 minute walk down a very busy road (with varying quality of sidewalk). There are a limited selection of restaurants and an English-type pub about 7 minutes away. But the hotel certainly seems a bit more isolated compared to others I have used in Singapore. Taxi line was never too long or took too much time.
I stayed in this hotel many years ago and come back again. This is one of the earliest 5 stars hotels in Singapore, still very well maintained, room is very clean. The breakfast choice is so so compared to the price paid but Singapore now is an expensive city anyway. Yet, to my surprise, they do not offer free internet service in room. This is very rare now as most of the hotels disregard the star rating offer free internet to the room guest and their charge is not cheap neither. Put this in your consideration if you are heavy internet user before you book this hotel
Been traveling Singapore since 1998, and whenever I come to Sheraton Towers - as long as I can remember - Sebastian awaits me. He recognises me by name - which is a capacity I can only admire with these hundreds of guest coming to Sheraton Towers each day, and will do all that is needed to make your stay comfortable form check-in to check-out. But the really amazing thing is that he gives Sheraton Towers his personal imprint. I like Sheraton brand, and this one here in Singapore is simply amazing: When you see Sebastian, you feel like entering a new time zone - just like in colonial times, with his hat and tropical outfit. And now that for the first time we took our kids here, they also felt the spirit and atmosphere Sheraton has managed to create by putting a face out there. They immediately embraced Sebastian, and you know - kids don't lie - especially not at the age of 3 and 4. They took a short tour to that beautiful tropical garden with hundreds of glittering carps in the pond, and simply loved this stay here. Few days ago we were in Westin Singapore, also a great location, completely different, minimalistic style, highly recommendable as well, but for the heart: It is Sheraton. And for the business traveller let me mention that the Lounge here is super. Choice of food and service 100% worthwhile, even if you have to pay the up-price, which I did not as SPG Platinum. Free flow of expensive alcohol included - no need to say :) Come here, enjoy, and send greetings to Sebastian - the signature imprint of Sheraton Towers Singapore! Juergen
We booked a deluxe room with a king bed and were given a room with 2 twin beds upon check in. Extremely disappointed as we had just been travelling around Asia for a while prior to arriving in Singapore and this was supposed to be our treat- 2 relaxing nights in a 5-star hotel. Such a let-down. Even worse- management did not offer anything to try to make up for this. A normal business would have offered food or drink vouchers, or an upgrade, or something to say "sorry". They said we could move rooms on the 2nd day but we didn't see the point as we had to leave the following morning for the airport, and being out all day sightseeing makes it such a hassle to pack everything up to move rooms halfway through our stay. I wish we would've stayed at one of several other 5-star hotels we were considering. Don't bother with this hotel unless you don't mind being treated badly. Besides, the location isn't great anyway- it's a 15-min walk to shopping, etc... only thing nearby is the hawkers Market.
We stayed here for 4 nights to break our journey back to Australia from the UK. It was an easy taco from the airport, very close to orchard road and amazingly convenient with two small kids. The staff were super helpful and the food in the restaurants were expensive but lovely.
