Nice hotel not far from Orchard great pool and spa..wifI is terribly bad in some places and not working most of the times...drain in shower was blocked water was flowing out the shower .good location .. not far from train stop

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Our trip to Singapore was for both business and pleasure. The hotel worked well for both purposes; being conveniently located to transportation. Not a 5-star hotel by any means; but a solid 4-star. Service was excellent.

Location was great. Rooms were clean but dated. 3 of us so the roll away bed was cramped in the room space. Hotel was not fresh, lounge was nice, staff friendly. Convenient to underground system. It was not bad but I would look for a more updated modern facility in the future.

I have been staying at this hotel for many years now... so I keep coming back! The staff are always wonderful and charming.

Arrived early and the staff let us have early check in. Room size is good, big windows, clean, have all basic amenities. There is a convenient store next to the hotel, mexican food restaurant, burger king. 10 minute walk to Plaza Singapura mall and Dhoby Ghout MRT station. There is also bus stop, bus number 36 to changi airport stops here. Small pool and gym, does not bother me though.

First of all, there were two of us (cousins) on a weekend vacation to Singapore. This was somewhat of a last-minute booking and this hotel at first glance provided excellent value for the location and amenities that it offered. Located between the Bras Basah and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations (the Bras Basah station is closer but Dhoby Ghaut is not that much farther in the opposite direction), the hotel is positioned nicely in terms of public transportation access. It is also definitely within walking distance of the Orchard Road strip and Plaza Singapura. The staff at the Rendezvous hotel are courteous, helpful, and friendly. The room service is fairly good as far as I remember and the rooms were cleaned well enough. We never tried the pool because it was often raining out that weekend but the pool area at least looked very nice. There is a small gym that we used that has all the bare necessities with free weights and machines. Like some hotels they have a lighted Taxi sign outside to signal one for you if you ask the front desk. My BIGGEST PROBLEM/CRITICISM of this hotel is that both twin beds we had were absolutely rock solid. I mean, are we living in the stone age? Did someone forget to buy mattresses and instead put in concrete slabs? Suffice it to say I ended up with back problems that weekend and was in a lot of pain by the end of the trip. That definitely took the value of this hotel down several notches in my book. Overall, had the beds not been as hard and uncomfortable as a bed of diamonds, I would have given this hotel an 8 or a 9 out of 10. But because of the total lack of bed comfort this hotel gets a 5/10 at best.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and found it disappointing for the following reasons: 1) The check-in counter is very unimpressive. It looks like a car rental office counter. 2) The reception rep. said she would upgrade our room at no charge. I don't know what their standard rooms are like, but the "upgraded" room was rather small with tired look and furnishings. The carpet was very old and it had two small pieces of trash left there.. The bathroom was also small, but it did have very ordinary toiletry. 3) The two twin beds were like half a foot higher than normal. I literally had to climb to go up or down my bed. The mattress was too firm as well. 4) Symbols and writings on the lighting control panel were too small to be read. One needs a magnifying glass to make out what was printed on it.. Next time when I visit Singapore, I will not stay at Rendezvous again.

This hotel was very conveniently located close to MRT stations and with a bus stop out the front. We selected a special on the day and upgraded to the club floor which included breakfast, snacks and afternoon drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

this is a good choice if you are looking for clean and (almost) reasonable price hotel. I can only speak of our room, which was very clean and comfortable, though a bit small.

Spent one night here while having an extended layover in Singapore. Since it was my birthday and I had been "roughing it" in guest houses in India the previous 10 days, I decided to get a nice hotel room in Singapore. For $175 USD, I thought it was a pretty good value. The good: 1. Very friendly service. The employee who checked me in also gave me plenty of unsolicited advice in where to eat, and told me about the bus directly in front of the hotel that would take me straight to Changi Airport. 2. Central location. Very close to Orchard Road. Right next to one MRT station and a couple blocks from another. 3. Good sized bathroom. 4. Very clean and plenty of light in my room. The not-so-good: It is literally next to a major construction site: the building of a downtown MRT line. Construction goes on until 11 PM. While it made no difference to me since I was exhausted and fell asleep with no problem whatsoever, it might be a problem for light sleepers. I am sure that is why the rate for this hotel is low for a 4 star hotel. The hotel was exactly what I was looking for. I got a great night's sleep and was able to eat my heart out in the 18 hours I was in Singapore. I certainly recommend it.

found hotel to be completely unhelpful and disintereted in providing assistance with stay.

Great Location just gew steps from Bras Basah MRT :)

Excellent Hotel. A 3 block walk to Raffles Place and City Hall. Near the museums.

Nice hotel. A short walk from Raffles place. Rooms are very quiet even though you are on a busy street. No traffic noise. Internet is free. Breakfast is extra.

Staff were very friendly, and always asking to make sure everything was okay.

The hotel was in a great location. There is a coffee bean right on the corner. The staff of the hotel were extremely helpful and went out of their way time and again when we needed something. My only problem with the hotel was that the rooms are TINY. Theres not much space to move around. The beds are also extremely small and pretty firm. Otherwise we had a great stay here

$26 Sing dollars a day for slow internet connection is an absolute rip-off. The mattresses were really hard. The location is great, and everything else is good about this hotel!

Value was great. Access to new MRT Cicle line was great. Hospitality was excellent. Some renovations going on, so some issues with taxis finding the correct entrance. Negative: standard problem in singapore, internet charges are absurd.

What a difference from the horrible experience of a 3 star hotel known as Value Hotel Nice. I almost left Singapore. This hotel saved me by providing nice, clean, comfortable accommodation at an exceptionally convenient location. The only drawback is no free Internet access.

Food was acceptable and prices reasonable compared to USA standards Beds were a little on the firm side
