We stayed here for 3months at the Regency House and we felt totally at ease and extremely comfortable with both the staff as well as the hygiene conditions of our room. We have children staying together and are very particular about the cleanliness of our room. We are very happy and privilege to have Nani as our room attendant. She is very diligent and meticulous in her work. She is very attentive to small details and my children loves her.
We spent 8 glorious days in Singapore in July 2017 and stayed at Regency House on Penang Road. As we were travelling with 3 generations of my family (2 Grandparents, myself, my husband and 2 small children) we needed a family friendly apartment and Regency House delivered in style. The rooms were large and comfortable and the main bedroom was separated from the others by the living area so we had some space. The apartment was very clean and housekeeping attended everyday to refresh everything. The other hotel amenities were also excellent. The pool area was fabulous and we spent many happy hours relaxing and cooling off in the beautiful surroundings. The staff were super friendly and very helpful and went as far as anticipating our needs and making suggestions which we found very helpful. The location is fabulous. A short walk through a beautiful park in either direction and you are at either a main train interchange, a bus station or one of several large shopping malls. Breakfast was available in the breakfast lounge and provided a substantial start to the day. They don't serve breakfast on weekends or public holidays. However there is a Subway directly underneath the hotel and a Starbucks close by as well as two supermarkets and a 7 Eleven just down the road so that wasn't an issue as we stocked up and made our own breakfast in the kitchen in the apartment. We will be returning to Singapore as it is a such an awesome place for a family holiday and I see no need to stay anywhere other than Regency House.
Regency House geographic location is convenient to Somerset & Dhoby Ghaut MRT's. We have had the opportunity to stay there on 4 occasions. The amazing part of the place is it has retained some of the staff over the last 5 odd years since we first visited it - speaks volumes about the management and its relationship. The house keeping team with its leader Susan have done well to make it look just the way it did on our first visit. Alice Seow - our breakfast aunty is an epitome of dedication and always with smile - I can I can....she was kind to the need of children ( and there helpings for Kiri Cheese) The front desk - a dream team comprising of Siti, Thessa, Serina, Gary and Muhammad Nur-- compliment each other and bring to desk superb efficiency with politeness In the middle of the night when we wanted to have our coffee and biscuit you could see the consistent alertness and mannerism. The security of Pasha and his team - is vigilant but extremely courteous. Of course there is a scope of innovation and improvisation - which when I shared with Andy Lin, marketing was gracefully welcomed with an assurance to share it with senior management. I thank the management and each of the staff members including the ones whose names I have missed for making our stay warm and memorable ( June - July 2017) The road repairs which are frequent is not a deterrent for my family to seek another opportunity to be there. A request to the management to take a relook at the menu and incorporate at least one warm dish for vegetarians ( eggless) to be a part of the breakfast menu Initiate a loyalty program me for loyal patrons. Thank you - God Bless............on behalf of our family - Neha & Prashant from India.
The manager was available, professional and managed her staff brilliantly. From the front desk, security, breakfast ladies, cleaners, pool attendants and gardener, all were friendly and helpful. In the front foyer is a coffee machine and biscuits for guests use. Bookcases with a good variety of reading material plus local papers and latest magazines and comfortably seating and attractive flower arrangements. The apartment was well set out. Kitchen-dining, convection oven, fridge-freezer, rice cooker, front loading washing machine/dryer and all necessary utensils. Comfortable bar seats and table to eat at. Gift basket and welcoming card on table. A well appointed bathroom, large mirror, two different shower heads, good linen and excellent toiletries. Large area with two seater, large mirror, large coffee table and radio+TV. Telephone plus smart phone and area for suitcase storage. Bedroom area partioned off. King size bed, excellent linen, another largeTV. Two large wardrobes and vanity unit with mirror. The whole apartment was well lit and had three floor to ceiling window doors. Breakfasts, Monday to Friday. Well thought out menu providing a wide range of food. Juice, cereals, raw fruit. Two different hot dishes every day, salads, ham, cheese, a variety of pastries, breads, toast, tea and coffee. Spotless dining room with friendly efficient staff. Gym had a good range of equipment, airconditioning, bottled water and towels available. Pool, well set out, loungers, BBQ area with tables and chairs. Indoor and outdoor showers, toilets, and a good towel supply. Garden surround made for a peaceful oasis on the top floor.
Long stay in regency house. House keeping service is very impressive. Ms Mala cleans up the room very neatly and tidily. Her smile makes me so comfortable. As I stay here in a long period, such hospitality is important for me.
Stayed in 3 bedroom apartment on 9th floor. Only criticism is the external noises that entered the apartment. Balcony doors did not seal that well and let in a fair bit of traffic noise. There was night road works during our stay so that made it feel worse. Our room was also below the breakfast room so the foot traffic noise above our room was intrusive especially when they start making breakfast early in the morning. Otherwise excellant. Am planning on staying again when i return in february 2018 will just ask not to be in that particular room again.
A perfect place for a family holiday in Singapore. Great location - an easy walk to 2 MRTs and Orchard Road. The apartments are spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need.We all loved the breakfast, which is generous and varied. The children's favourite place was the lovely swimming pool! Our stay was made so much easier and more enjoyable by the service from the friendly staff. It was excellent and couldn't be faulted. Sarina and Gary were especially standouts. Thanks so much again. We'd love to come back and have already recommended Regency House to several friends planning a trip to Singapore.
Central to everything you need. Shops, MRT, buses. Great range of food for breakfeast. Pool was lovely and much needed after a full on Singaporean hot day. The Apartment was clean and tidy and the staff were lovely.
Our family stayed at Regency House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Despite arriving early, we were able to check in immediately which was greatly appreciated, as was the welcoming basket of goodies left on the table. The two bedroom apartment was immaculate, bright, roomy and well equipped with every amenity we required, including free wifi. The servicing of the apartment was excellent and our cleaner very friendly and flexible. The breakfast buffet was good but was not available on the weekend. Since our flight home was later at night, reception gave us a late check out and generously offered us access to the pool, showering facilities and towels, wifi and coffee/tea/bottled water until it was time to leave. Regency House is in a fantastic location and provides excellent, friendly service which cannot be faulted.
This place was the perfect place for our 10 day stay in Singapore. The apartment was superbly presented with rooms that are large and airy with plenty of storage space. Our 3 bedroom unit had a full en suite master plus family bathroom and two large bedrooms. The kitchen had everything we wanted including a washer dryer, fridge freezer, microwave etc. A large lounge diner with TV, fast wifi and free use smartphone completed the setup. The special offers app on the phone gave us fantastic discounts on tourist attractions. Our party arrived separately, 2 from the UK early in the morning and 4 from Australia later on. An email prior to arrival secured an immediate entry to the rooms allowing us to shower and sleep before our son and family arrived. What a blessing! This location has been perfect for us with the MRT, busses and Orchard Road shops only a short distance away . Singapore transport is a delight to use too. The final thing that made our stay so enjoyable was the Regency House staff. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming, always a smile no matter where or when. Thank you and see you next time we're in Singapore!
