Marina Mandarin

The hotel was very nice. It’s connected to a couple large malls, so there’s a lot to shop and eat nearby. The hotel has a pretty good selection for food as well. The hotel has a nice view of the bay, and isn’t too far from the Flyer and the Gardens. Overall, it’s a good hotel for an affordable price.

I enjoyed the stay The staff are extremely competent and very friendly

Very good only microwave was not in room that would help

Location is perfect, close to MRT, Marina sites. Taxi to Merlion is SGD 5, to Gardens by the Bay SGD 7. Hotel entrance is impressive, with a sweet scent of orchids and friendly staff who will open your taxi and greet you with honest welcome. Reception at 4th floor, although spacious showing the skyroof and all floors, has old style decor and visible signs of aging. Even inside the room the furnishings are worn and old. Breakfast for SGD 40 is not worth it, don't expect too much. It's like the $10 type of buffets in the US. But again the staff is super friendly, they gave us a free upgrade upon checkin, although for me the room looked regular and not impressive. Very spacious though compared to other hotel rooms in Singapore. Good views of the city from our 19th floor room.

Although we arrived in the morning we could check in and even got our room. We had a late flight the next day and for a reasonable price we could keep the room till 18.00 hrs. Hotel was great, WiFi, fitness, swimming pool, restaurants and bars, very friendly and helpfull staff. Direct entrance to Marina Square Mall and very close to Marina Bay. Would stay here again next time!

Update : I booked for 5 nights , the last 4 were great but the 1st was wacky . Altho I had mentioned to the check-in clerk that this was my 1st time in Singapore , they did Not give me any instruction that the room key needs to go into a module inside the room . After entering the light switches worked but timed out after 10 minutes . I reviewed the in room hotel book but it had no instructions . As it was Lunar New Years Eve & I had just traveled for 36 hours , I wanted to avoid bothering staff who were very busy & I just needed rest . After getting a hot shower & shampoo , I then discovered the hair dryer didn't work ( later learned it was due to card key not being inserted ) and the air conditioner was stuck on extreme chilling ( due again to card key issue ) . After spending a night trying to sleep with wet hair & AC on max and lights constantly going off . . I approached the concierge to call maintenance . They explained about putting the key in the module & after that everything worked . The view of the Lunar New Years fireworks was fabulous , the pool is great & there is even a 4th floor staircase leading to the Marina Mall and SMRT . One can check in & go great distances all in cool comfort . Maintenance , concierge and housekeeping staff were all super nice & helpful . The hotel is good but 1st timers should note it is Not like the west , the key is used to control the room power .

I enjoyed the Hotel abut kept finding things were not what they seemed! I was told at Check-In that Breakfast was 30sgd, when I checked out it was in fact 47sgd, as I was in a rush I really could not get this amended. The receptionist's English all of a sudden became poor!! Drink were expensive too.

Marina Mandarin is a very recommendable hotel. I consider it one of the best value/price options in Singapore. Location is very good (close to marina bay and walking distance to most touristic spots), room sizes are large (in many cases include a balcony with view) and staff is very nice (I was able to get a late check out). The room size is large and in many cases include a balcony.

Nice hotel, great view on Marina Bay, as well as very good location with walking distance to many places of interest. Swimming pool is not bad and enough large. Rooms are not very large, but comfortable. Most of the time when I'm booking this hotel I got the Meritus Club rooms located on the highest 21nd floor. They have an extra benefits, as a breakfast and evening cocktail buffet in Meritus lounge, free non-alcoholic beverages in mini bar, free laundry every day, etc.

Certainly there is room to improve (especially front staff that were generally not as friendly as the ones at the other five-star hotels), but it was good value for money.

Spectacular building view from inside. Comfort, good food, easy access to marina square mall, and connecting to suntec city mall. Esplanade MTR access.

Location was good. Singapore is one of the best cities to navigate. You can almost walk the whole city underground and Marina Mandarin is convenient to those underground and mall paths.

Great hotel for business or pleasure, great location

This hotel is nice, but not what I would call a 5-star hotel, more like a 4. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, so if you do just go for that reason. The view is not what I expected, it is not a good view of Marina like the pictures show. The room felt small and not special, and the TV did not work. I felt I could have stayed at a similar hotel nearby for half the price. Pay a little more to actually stay in a hotel on the Marina. Can be a little difficult to find from the metro, but if you get off at Esponalde station and walk through the mall following the signs, you can make it there without stepping foot outside. I got lost several times so I ended up outside.

The hotel was great, good service, excellent breakfast, convenient location, and reasonably priced.

We arrived at the hotel and was greated by a very friendly and professional personnel. The hotel was in a very nice area and within walking distance to 3 shopping malls. Good resturants within walking distance. Many points of interest within the area.Definetly would stay there again.

i was here for a business trip. when first entering this building, the building structure grabbed my attention. it shapes like a triangle. on the other hand, the location is great.

This hotel is convenient located near most of the good sites: Suntec mall / Fountain of Wealth, Esplanade Mall, Marina Square mall. Did I mention it's connected to the Marina Square mall and there's lots of food options there? Bedroom was clean and feels new. Unsure if it's refurbished but it looked modern. *** Con is that you'll need to use the wired LAN cable to connect to the Internet.

Although having contacted the hotel in advance mentioning late check-in, they did not reserve the room required, and provided a twin rather than a king-size bed. Being a busy season is not an excuse for a 5-star hotel, and you shouldn't expect your guests to be willing to move around rooms during their stay, to accommodate your over-booking.

Very nice hotel in good area (of course, pretty much all of Singapore is a good area). However, the breakfast was an expensive, poorly organized, under impressive affair. The internet is pricey too. The staff was very good, nice and professional. There is no outlets in the bathroom to plug in hairdryer. You must dry your hair at the work desk in the bedroom. Not the best location for walking as the traffic just outside the hotel is very fast and it is hard to cross the street. For the cost of this hotel, (apx $350/night), I would find better overall value elsewhere. But don't get me wrong, this is still a very nice hotel.
