This was one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. They give you a free google phone to make as many international calls as we wanted (seriously no extra charge). Helps you navigate the city a little better as well with the free data as well. The Pharoh shower heads in our bathroom were amazing. Its like...having 6 showers hitting you all at once. One from the top, and 5 in front of you. We arrived at the hotel around 6am and naturally the room wouldnt be available until 2pm however they did offer us an upgrade for about an extra 30$ a day more whereas we could check into that room right away and we got a good "morning sleep" The hotel restaurant was also really good. A good time to eat breakfast is 7am, when nobody is there. Around 8:30-9, the line to get a table is long and you have people trying to toast their chocolate donuts whereas the sign says sliced bread only. Seriously though, an amazing hotel.

The condition of my room doesn't deserve a 5 star. I shouldn't accept the room but after a long day of traveling and my luggage.s were delivered to my room. The room is so run down. Every time I turn on the facet I hear the loud noise of water going down . It's so annoying. I can't believe this happy at a 5 star hotel. I better off stay at the holiday inn express down the street.

I checked in at 0130 after a long flight and was pleased by the hospitality of the front desk. They even upgraded my room as well for free without me asking. The facility and my room were clean and the staff was extremely helpful. The room included a cell phone for use that had apps on it that would show you places to eat and of interest. The phone also provided free unlimited intentional calls to a host of countries; so that was useful. The only negative, and it's more of a personal quirk, is that the TV in my room was not visible from my bed; I simply turned the armoire around.

Front office was a disaster. Rest of the stay was good

The check in staff and concierge was extremely well trained and efficient in carrying out their duties in serving clients like me. I have nothing but good memories on our stay.

2nd trip in sg. near shopping and food. the bellman was nice. cable channels have so much to choose from. walking distance to most shopping places. even the bus and train were walking distance

My mom was very happy to have stayed in Mandarin Orchard. Good, good location, Nice bedroom, nice people! Hope to be there again soon :)

Excellent location and service. Hotel is dated, but clean. Breakfast options are fine, but not premium quality for 5* hotel.

great. Booking receipt did not show breakfast, though it was advertised.

location in the center of the city, but service is lacking and not attentive as there are simply too busy, too many people buzzing around

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. The location is great, the room was spacious and clean, and the staff was friendly. There was some confusion with our credit card hold for incidentals, but it was eventually resolved. Laundry prices are unreasonably high, so I would try to avoid doing laundry here if possible. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Mandarine Orchard is located right in the middle of all the shopping on Orchard street. Many places to eat and shop all along Orchard. I recommend the $1.00 ice cream sold by the vendor out on Orchard every evening. No problems at all with the hotel room, staff or anything else. We will be going back soon and hope to stay at the Mandarine again if any rooms are available.

Good location if you want to shop for the high end couture lines. Short walk to other shopping centers. Unfortunately, our room was in need of repaired, which they completed at our request; plus the bathroom is filled with mold. They didn't tell us at check-in that you need to insert your key in the slot just inside the door to activate the lights and air conditioning in the room. The breakfast buffet is large and varied, but the atmosphere is that of a cafeteria...noisy and very busy. The 'free tour' is for 1-hour and not near the hotel.

I stayed in Mandarin Orchard during the holidays. Even though I had booked this hotel a few months ago, my request was not accepted at all. First, I wanted a non-smoking room, yet I had to stay one night in a smoking room. They said it is fully booked, but I don't think "non smoking" request was not like difficult one they could offer. The quality of amenities is not even 4-star, and the breakfast service was not good. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Nearby the metro and Paragon/Takashimaya malls are right next to this hotel.

Location is perfect on Orchard street. The hotel 5th floor (registration level) dining on a scale of #1-5 is a #2. Could be higher quality of food and cleaner. Skip eating at the hotel, with 2-3 min walk there is much better food. The gym is OK, not great. Has the basics to get your through. They need to turn the AC on in the workout area. The lobby could use new carpet and should be much nice to be considered a 5 start hotel. Shoppingis outstanding. Can show up with nothing and have a full wardrobe in 60min of top names fashion names. Actually, it is so good, leave all your clothes behind. Do not pack anything and just buy all new clothes there. Undergarments, shoes, socks, suits, slacks, jeans and so on.... Overall, I would highly recommend it, just skip the dining.

Our experience at this hotel was overall very lovely. The hotel is well-located in the center of the action, but the rooms only begin on the 5th or 6th floor, and from our 36th floor room, we could not hear the street noise. The hotel lobby and rooms are beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have some reservations about the room. The room was very attractive and very clean, but there was a lack of thought about its design. The toilet was high. The room did not have a stall shower and climbing into and out of the relatively high tub was not pleasant. In addition, although there was in room complimentary internet, there were no outlets near the desk and the only 2 outlets were located on the shelf for the kettle- an area too small to accommodate even an iPad) and about 6 inches from the floor on the wall, necessitating me and my husband to sit on the floor to use the internet. Most people with portable devices will not have them fully charged upon arrival in the hotel, so I imagine this would be a problem for other people as well. As I said, overall, the hotel was beautiful. Paying attention to comfort in the those areas would make it even a better experience for guests.

My husband and I stayed there for two days while on our honemoon and it was really great. The hotel is close to the main shopping street and MRT so you can get around pretty easy. The rooms are clean and nice. There are a couple of cute things they did that we really loved: when we walked in our room and turned on the TV, it had a welcome message with my name; and after we left our stuff and went out to, when we came back they had left a cake saying "Congratulations" in our rooom. Very, very good experience.

The hotel is as convenient location at the Orchard road. Hotel room is clean and staff are polite.

It was a very nice hotel in the very center of Singapore. The rooms are big and comfortable. The hotel is connected to a mall. The stuff is really friendly. If your breakfast is not included in the price I suggest you go to Starbucks at the back of the hotel. The buffet breakfast is nice but ridiculously expensive. The drinks are super expensive too (stock up at the Duty Free!). Be prepaid to terrible humidity, hot temps outside and super cold A/C inside. I caught cold because of all those changes and had to buy medicine. It applies to all places in Singapore. I had to leave a restaurant because the cold air was blowing so hard from the ceiling and I was all sweaty having come from the outside.

We had some miscommunication with our luggage after a room mishap--no one knew where our bags went! Kinda frustrating for a moment. Room was clean, just nothing super fancy for the price. It's a bit older and needs some updating. The gym was far away from everything and the pool was far from private.
