this was perfect for our family of four. (kids ages 9 and 14) We have 5 nights in Singapore and the apartments were large so plenty of space to relax. Two large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a big lounge and kitchen. All in good condition and clean. Our apartment was higher up and had a good view - I asked for both of these requirements. The pool was great. We didn't have the breakfast as we are all Gluten free and our time zone was so out we were not awake in time most days! The walk down to Orchard road is easy but equally you could order a taxi or use the hotel shuttle. After a big days walking around Singapore the walk home was a bit hard/hot some days but perfectly manageable. I recommend getting the Singapore Tourist pass so you can use the MRT and buses freely. Staff on the front desk were very helpful and accommodating.
We stayed for 3 nights on our way to Japan. The apartment was plenty roomy enough with comfortable beds and furniture. The walk to Orchard Rd/shops was fine, we have a 4 & 6 yr old and they didn't mind the easy walk, and if you could time the shuttle bus in you could get a way with walking one way. It is also within walking distance to the Botanical Gardens which the kids managed easily as well. No breakfast on weekends is a pain, as it requires either stocking up on groceries or going out. The room was stocked with 2 coffee and 2 tea sachets, and when I asked for more I was told that they don't supply any more. I found this very disappointing as I couldn't have a coffee while my kids slept on the weekends. There is a cafe in the building next door that was doing a buffet breakfast for $12SD but I didn't try it. Also, they had a coffee vending machine there but it was out of cups! There was some work going on at the apartments on the last day causing a bit of noise, I think they were getting ready to do some bigger renovations.
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment. I could have given a 5 rating but we're still being asked to pay an additional charge for a roll away bed despite the fact that the reservation made was for 5 people with a rate given for 5 person occupancy. Anyway, it was a spacious apartment, 1 bedroom has 2 twin beds with the bathroom in the hall while the master bedroom has a king bed with an ensuite bathroom. Lots of towels were given plus the usual shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/lotion amenities. Kitchen was equipped. There's also a welcome basket of 2 bottles water, tea sachets and coffee/milo mixes. Plus a couple of cookie packs. Tap water is potable in Singapore. Internet access was not really good at times. I saw some people's bad comments on the breakfast, however, we find the offering reasonable and good. The coffee machines give freshly ground coffee with good selection, the same with the tea. There's a good choice of bread (I just wished the servers don't mix day old croissants to fresh ones), cereals and fresh cut fruits. Reception desk staff were helpful. I still think that treating staff with kindness and respect gets me the same response from them. There's a free shuttle bus that serves places of importance and it also brings guests to MRT stations. The driver of the bus was very prompt, pleasant and helpful.
A great place to stay in Singapore, particularly if yiu are visiting with family, for business or pleasure. It has most of the facilities a hotel would offer, except room service or restaurant, but has the feel of a home. The bedrooms are adequate size and the there is housekeeping service everyday except Sunday. The property is very well located and you can call for taxis by house phone at the desk at anytime. The breakfast ( included, six days/week) is light and sufficient. i have been staying here every time I visit Singapore with family for the last 15 years. The staff are very helpful. I have recommended Le Grove to many friends and to date everyone has been positive in their feedback to me. Two suggestions: 1. Arrange coffee/drinks/snacks vending machine in the seating area. 2. Include breakfast on Sundays too.
We spent 5 months at Le Grove Serviced Apartments. It is in a great location near to Orchard Road, Botanic Gardens and Tanglin. We regularly used the gym, had the breakfast provided on week-days and used the shuttle to work every day. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Although it is approx a km to Orchard road and the nearest supermarket and MRT, the shuttle runs regularly and Bobby the driver was always happy to accommodate us and give us the best advice on public transport. I would recommend Le Grove.
We booked this apartment and paid almost £200 a night for a two bedroom apartment thinking it,s nearby Orchard Road, yes it is as stated on the website, however Km shown on the website are to the end of orchard road. Rooms were not as big as we expected and breakfast? It's probably the worst breakfast I ever had in a hotel or apartment. It includes some water melon, pine apple, oranges, orange juice ( not fresh ) cereals , only one type of bread, butter, tea and coffee. Do NOT ASK FOR FRIED EGG OR OMELATE because they do not provide that. We were 4 in total ( Two disabled on wheel chair ) we took one wheel chair with us thinking hotel might have a wheel chair. Hotel did have only one wheel chair and told us, when ever we need, we will get it back from our room, so kindly don't take it outside. In the end we hired one from the local shop. Coming back to the breakfast, because we had two disable ladies and one career, I was the only one who could have breakfast in the restaurant so I requested if I could have disabled and career breakfast in the room. Answer was, No I asked if I could take breakfast in the room myself, Elsie said, yes so I asked for a tray, answer was, No We don't have any tray although I could see all trays in kitchen myself. There were very small serving plates so I just took some fruit ( Mainly water Mellon ) in two plates and asked my carer to take some savouries in two plates, no bread, cereals, tea or cofee. Following day when when I came downstairs to have breakfast, I was stoped by Elsie and she told me, I took too much yesterday therefore am not allowed to take that much. That was really embarrassing for me some one accusing me over food. It wasn't too much, water Mellon takes lot of space on a very small plate and I could fit only 5 pcs of water Mellon in a plate, that was disgusting of her saying some thing like that and I felt really embarrassed. What the hell was she thinking, we were greedy over food? If we could afford nearly £800 to book a apartment, we could afford having decent breakfast some where else rather than a labeled breakfast le grove provide. We were there for 4 days, we didn't bother having breakfast for remaining two days. If that is sort of service Le Grove provide, I would rather stay away next time.
I must say that for it's pricing Le Grove Serviced Apartments are just right. The location in my view is ideal, in a leafy neighbourhood on the outskirts of the City itself. All the facilities are at hand however I must say my preference is for Apartments over Hotels when travelling for work. When travelling with my family when the children were younger, also it would get top marks. The pool & surrounding area is ideal to relax. The front office staff are most helpful. Sorry, no pictures to add as it was a busy stay.
Have been visiting Singapore once or twice, every year since 1998. Stayed at different 4-5 star hotels. This time, chose Le Grove serviced apartments. It's just behind Orchard road. An oasis, literally, in the city state. The room and other facilities for a family of three was simply amazing, and the price was very reasonable. They had a shuttle bus for free, and a taxi was just a call away from the reception. If anyone wants to rest and sleep peacefully, workout or take a dip and relax, after a hectic day, this is an ideal, value for money temporary residence. You need to experience to believe. Excellent for family stay.
You should really try this accomodation if looking for a service appartments in singapore. Well maintained rooms and awsome breakfast options. Shuttle service is provided to land into city for all your shopping needs. Prices are a bit high however it an awsm place to stay.
Was fantastic, lovely place. Unfriendly housekeeper team, they dint let us to use micro oven( breakfast lobby) to reheat baby food after check out. Front staff really supportive who reheated our baby food right in front of housekeepers. We really thanks her.
