Our only difficulty was one day of poor access tobwifi
We would recommend this hotel as a good budget option. In an easy to find location with the metro near by. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
For the price that is paid value not there. Can hear people in hallway and in next room.
I like the Ibis, it was close to everything, reasonably priced with a Restaraunt. I would stay here again
Check in was smooth. Elevators a little dated and the slide-in card (rather than tap) for your floor was inconvenient especially when there were more people in the elevator. Room was compact but well laid out and clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel has no gym within the premises. It has a tie up with an external gym with a first come first serve (limited access) for guests which was disappointing. The breakfast buffet was also average. I was there in business and stayed by myself.
Small but efficient rooms. I think they save rooms with view and high floor rooms for accor members. Hotel is located close to restaurants and shopping area. Would recommend for a short stay.
Room was comfortable but small Great location Staff met all our needs
nice quiet, staff was wonderful , door men were great conversationalist and very knowledgeable
Hands down best part about this hotel is that they provided us with a go-phone that gave us wireless internet in Singapore. This allowed us to make the best of our trip and see everything we wanted in a short amount of time with no problem at all! Overall great room, great location, good staff. Would recommend to friends and family.
A very nice hotel in an excellent central location. Very modern hotel with up-to-date technology and excellent free wifi. The beds were very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was expensive so we didn't go to it but within a block is a very nice small mall with lots of terrific restaurants to get a nice Singaporean breakfast or any meal. The rooms are small and have a tiny closet for hanging a few things and no drawers at all, only a couple of small shelves. Mainly you live out of your suitcase which is kind of annoying when you spend 4 days. However, overall we enjoyed our stay. It's in an excellent neighborhood called Bugis and close to the MTR and buses.
I was flying to australia from Europe and stopped over in Singapore. The ibis experience was very nice. The staff were very friendly, room quite comfortable and they extended my checkout time. The hotel is walkable distance from Bugis station and to orchard or little india.
Descent hotel facility. And a wonderful location. Will stay again at this hotel.
After actually paying more for the not-very-nice Porcelain Hotel in Chinatown, this hotel compared most favorably in all respects.
I arrived on an early flight and went to the hotel for an early check in. They had a room available for me with no additional costs and I was in the room by 9AM local time. After traveling 27 hours, I was VERY thankful! The front desk service was great and the room was clean and spacious. The only down part was the bed - it was rock hard but I didn't care! I slept like a baby anyway!
Stayed here 3 nights everything was fine room wise. The in room WiFi did not work in my room. After six calls and three visits to the front desk nothing was done and no solution offered. If the WiFi had worked or the staff offered me a solution I would recommend to stay here but at this time I will not recommend a stay here if you need Internet in your room.
Singapore is expansive in general. So this hotel compared to other hotels in Singapore might be fine but comparing with other Asian cities the price is very expansive and services are not amazing. Very compact room and some of the staff were not friendly. Also my visit to Singapore was during the formula 1 race which added to the high cost of the hotel, I guess.
Small room but more than adequate for two people. Close enough to walk to Little India, Arab Quarter, Bugis Street Singapore Flyer ans Orchard street. Restaurant was good but lots of good value eating places near by. Staff helpful and friendly. Fair currency exchange in hotel.
This hotel was great. We were there for 5 nights. The restaurant was OK; the breakfast was not that good and it was overpriced. We ate across the street in an American fast food place. The staff was very gracious and they let us check in early.
We booked here for two nights but ended up checking out after the first night as the bed was uncomfortable and we couldn't get a good sleep. First they didn't want to let us checkout but after talking to the manager, who was reasonable, we got out. The hotel does have some redeeming qualities but we couldn't take the bad with the good. Pros: Great location as it is accessible to the light rail and many shops around. The restaurant was really good and reasonably priced. Front desk service is good.. Cons: We read that the rooms were small and I prepared myself for it and but I still found them smaller (this is personal preference, though). They provided a minifridge (it's kinda cute but first only ~4 soda cans). We also had to be creative in finding space for two luggages (one under the bad and one top of the table). The area was a bit noisy but I can deal with that. The deal breaker was the tough mattress. I would say spend a little bit more money to have a better experience in a different hotel.
Ibis Hotel in Bencoolen is a good destination for a quick stay, the Bar/Restaurant is good but pricey but it is in a good location with short walks/bus rides to shopping/eating etc. If you are going to Singapore for vacation, Spend a few more bucks for a nice hotel with bigger rooms, pool and the like. Ibis was great, clean, well serviced and worth it's money.
