Very easy access to MRT with the underground connection. Laundry accepts cash only and we don't have cash. Would be nice if it accepts credit/debit card.

Bed Sheets are plastic. Very Dirty Rooms. Very hot sweaty nights with such poor quality sheets. Room was very dirty and both cleaning teams were very youthful young adults, that cleaning is not their specialty I am sure. Big black hair all over the tiny tiny room. Shower and bathroom was tiny, and I paid for a premium room. This was too much money for the quality.

The room was lovely although small. Easy to get to the metro. Restaurants were in walking distance. I didn't eat in the restaurant. Bar in the hotel was small. It served alcohol and coffee.

The Mercure Icon Hotel sits in the heart of Chinatown. The streets are abuzz with action and colour. If you love culture this is a great place to be. The options for wonderful food are everywhere. The 50metre pool is also a special par of the hotel.

Room had hair on the floor on arrival, housekeeping didn't replenish coffee, bed was 'made' by dragging the sheets to the top at an angle. It was very lackadaisical and not appropriate for the price point. Three of the ten lifts wobbled like they were suffering turbulence.

Front office staff not very welcoming!

The reception front staff including their lady manager could be more friendly and flexible. They were pretty rigid and almost dismissive about my requests. Other than that, the room service and the breakfast were very good.

great location

great location near a few different train stations, good hawker markets with great food at cheap prices in the area, comfy bed, very small room for Singapore, previous trips we stayed around Orchard Road but I think I prefer Chinatown, disappointed that they charged us for early check in, in the past trips to Singapore & our previous 4 weeks in Europe if our room was ready they would let us check in without charging a fee.

Love this hotel it is very walkable to China town, Lau Pa Sat. To Marina Bay maybe 20 mins walk. This hotel is clean, good amenities I wished their gym was bigger and the bathroom it is really so small. But the beds are comfy and good room size.
