Visited on our way back to London from Australia. Used taxi from the airport to the hotel for $25. Welcome was good and the staff helpful. We were on 6th floor but changed to the 9th due to a strong smell which got you in the back of your throat like strong varnish or paint stripper. Breakfast is good but finished at 1000 sharp (ops). If your flying with Singapore airlines your boarding pass gives you discount at may attractions.

Stayed here for 3 nights last w.e. I was on the 8th floor and as you came out the lift an awful smell hit you. I think it was from the carpet. Because of the high humidity the carpet may get damp, then smells of mouldiness. Yuk!! Several people asked to be moved, but I think all the floors were similar. I mean, why have carpets in that situation, and if you do then keep them clean. Even the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. And I think the boy cleaning only emptied my bins, nothing elsehad been done. Having said that the staff were very friendly and the food at breakfast an dinner was very good.

I stayed in Grand Pacific for 4 nights with my 11 year old son. My room was on 7th floor-overlooking the busy street -so nothing exciting about it. The reception n lobby certainly needs a facelift-not very impressive. Reception staff was friendly but no staff was available to help us with our luggage-not a welcome attitude. The room is comfortable n clean-toilet clean but basic. I had to cut a tag n asked the housekeeping/ room service/ reception for a pair of scissors which was refused. Indians especially vegetarians may have an issue with the food. Warmth n helping attitude of staff towards the lower side. Closeness to tourist attractions, MRT stations n bus stops, Bugis village etc and cleanliness is the the thing for which one can stay in Grand Pacific. I think there are other better options which one can explore. Personally I’m not very happy nor very disappointed but would not stay here on my next visit

This moderately priced hotel is a great-value in the high-priced central city area. It is located in an attractive and walkable area; provides efficient and personable service; spacious, attractive and comfortable rooms (with a city view is our preferred) - with very comfortable bedding; and has a tasty and generous, multi-ethnic buffet breakfast (we recommend booking room w/bf included); we haven't tried the other restaurant. It is located very close (5 minute walk) to Bras Basah MRT station, (5-7 min.) city bus stops, and is an easy walk (10-30 minutes) to many of the center-city attractions and several other MRT stations (eg. City Hall & Bugis).

Stayed in Singapore for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon. Location was great, staff were extremely helpful with arranging any transport or other needs during our stay. Bar closed early so having a couple of drinks once we got back to the hotel was a bit rushed when we tried that! Breakfast catered for local and western cuisine, so was good to see the difference. Rooms themselves were a bit tired, especially the bathrooms, but you don’t spend all that much time in there while you’re out exploring anyway so no big deal. Did the job more than well enough for us!

While we were checking out there was a FALSE fire alarm. They shut the lifts down and kept them shut for 1 hr for no reason. We had to climb down 7 floors with all our luggage simply because the staff were morons

This Hotel is very well located for seeing Singapore. If you are reasonably active and able to walk you can see most things as we did. Eg The Marina Bay Hotel, The “metal” trees, Little India and China town to name a few in walking distance. Our hotel room was spacious and clean and the staff helpful. From our room we could see part of the Marina Hotel. Unfortunately Raffles, a 5 minute walk was closed for refurnishment therefore no gin slings.

This is a truly fabulous hotel! The rooms are very spacious, toiletries, including toothpaste and toothbrushes are replaced every day. The breakfast buffet is delicious and varied with both asian and european options and the metro system is a 5 minute stroll away. We also had our evening meals in the hotel and again there was a varied choice of asian and european dishes on offer. Tha asian food was amazing and the beers were the cheepest that we came across in Singapore. if you dont want to use the metro the beautiful harbour was only a 15 minute walk, in fact from our room we looked directly onto the Big wheel so a perfect location and a great hotel experiance.

Booked this hotel via Singapore airlines enroute to Australia. Customer service at this hotels is impeccable. Special mention goes to the Japanese guy at reception and Silvaling. Well done guys and keep up the good work. The downside is this hotel is very dated and the pool needs attention as well.

Had a couple of stopover via Singapore to Auckland and back 3 week later, nice reception area with pleasent staff, the big doorman is a good man who will point you in the right direction to sights etc. Room a little dated but comfortable nice bed. Breakfast was a mix of oriental and western food.brilliant location
