Quick layover stay

We had a pleasant experience at Hotel Classic by Venue. The hotel is clean and well maintained (the unit looks newly renovated), with firm beds and excellent air conditioning (three settings and super cold!). It’s located along a lively street filled with restaurants and historic buildings, which lead to a mall just a short walk away (the mall has bunch of places to eat too). The area is very walkable, and it’s only about 10 minutes (<1 km) to Paya Lebar MRT station, super convenient for getting around the city, including places like City Hall (Marina Square). During our stay, we took the MRT to Coldwell food court for a great local meal, then hopped on a Grab to Universal Studios, an easier and more affordable option. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was quiet throughout our stay. The only downside was the bathroom, the exhaust fan didn’t seem to work, and the bathtub has a shower but no enclosure, so water tends to splash all over the floor, unless you duck and shower carefully to avoid making a mess. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a comfortable stay within budget in a great location. We used Apple maps throughout the trip.

I chose this hotel for a short stay and was not disappointed. The rooms are a bit small, but are modernized and clean. Staff is great. Joo Chiat Road is very scenic and the hotel is located near a great hawker center and Paya Lebar Quarters mall.

We stayed one night at Hotel Classic by Venue and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent with plenty of dining options nearby. Great value and we’d stay here again.

Staff very helpful, but room not comfortable

We were in a small room at first, just slightly bigger than the bed. No room for laying out the small luggage. They call is Superior room. Very misleading. We upgraded to a Premium room, which was roomy enough, however, there was a lot of noise coming from the roof. The staff addressed it right away. The next day the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. We had to keep running the bathroom fan all the time. There was no hand towel or face towels. We wouldn't stay here again.

Lots to see by foot around the hotel , really enjoyed the Red house, local temple, beuatiful building and artizan cafe shops, and easy transport back to airport ( we took the 24 bus which took approx 45 minutes and cost 2.80SGD _ bring change for bus ) Local food markets dont except cards to bring cash to eat. room had no windows so wasn't a great idea after a 13 hour flight but otherwise great room, very clean and comfortable beds.

The bed was a very firm,but I was so tired at the end of the day ,I didnt care,I walked the whole earth feels like. It was clean and I asked for a second blanket. Really liked the pillows too
