This hotel room is big... Nice and clean... Is at Central of the town near to people park.. China town point and many other for your good Shopping and good food too like to setosa island and orchard road.
I like the fact that this hotel is located nearby MRT station. And this MRT line is the most useful line, since it can reach anywhere easily. The staff of this hotel is very good, they explain everything as clear as possible during check in and also check out. Room is small, well this hotel reside in an old shophouse. I don'y expect it would be big. But the room is clean enough, it can be cleaner though. Especially on the bathroom. But it's still manageable.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Handy location, right next to Chinatown and about a 100 restaurants. Plenty of malls and up market shopping nearby. The room was very quiet considering it was right next to two main roads. And the air-con was good. But the room was very, very small. Could hardly walk between the bed and the sideboard. The bathroom was also very cramped. Bang your elbows on the walls cramped! A bit overpriced given the size of the room, but clean and tidy.
Staying here the night of 6/02/18 and sadly i have another 3 nights allready booked on 8-11/02/18. I booked with booking.com, while looking at the pictures it seemd very basic but ok. When arriving in the hotel the staff were very friendly and nice. But the room is so small its pathetic, nothing like the pictures on booking. ( i will add some real pictures ) you cant move in it because its so small. No mini bar ( fridge ) no closet for cloths and most disturbing is the bathroom wich is like 1meter square. Hot water rans out after 5 minutes and when i asked about the reason i was told by reception that its probobly because alot of guests are having a shower at the same time and its a shared boiler ( water heater ). Location is good but not worth it ! For the same price you can get a real hotel just a few minutes away.
I have been trying the cheapest hotels in Chinatown. They have been ok. This time I decided to go up budget a bit. It was a very good idea. Hotel 81 is right outside the entrance to the MRT railway station at Chinatown. You walk out of the Station across the street and there you are. The reception was friendly and very helpful and willing to address any questions. The room (on the ground floor) was very clean, a little small - no matter, there is an excellent ensuite shower and toilet, no sharing! The bed was very comfortable and the aircon very efficient. All in all for $129 Singapore it was a very fair price. 5 stars for location, 5 stars for the reception and 5 stars for the room. What could be better. I have a place to stay in Singapore now.
We stayed in the hotel for couple night, the room is small and compact. Elevator was a bit shaky. Dusty under the bed and cabinet, but the Location is the BEST easy access to everywhere. You can find good food, museums, shopping surrounding the hotel. It will be better if they improve the cleanliness. Overall is quite good value for the money.
We did not know at the time of booking that this hotel has a reputation amongst locals as being a “love hotel” that’s rentable by the hour. It was something that my relatives (Singaporeans) and a taxi driver told us after we arrived. Nevertheless, I couldn’t have guessed if I hadn’t been told. The room was very basic and small but it was clean and smelled fine. The free WiFi worked perfectly. We were here for just one day. When we tried to have an afternoon nap, it was quite noisy - mainly due to the phone in the service room (which was near our room) often ringing. At night, however, it was quiet, and we got a good night’s sleep. I do think it’s expensive for the quality of the room (219 Singapore dollars for one night, on New Year’s Eve it has to be said) but I guess we were paying for the location. We wanted to be in the centre of Chinatown and that’s exactly what we got. Very friendly reception staff.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The rainfall shower was really nice. Wifi worked well. Coffee and tea are included in the room. Elevator worked well and was fast. The price is good, the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is awesome.
you pay is an excellent choiceTo begin with and to be fair to persprctive visitors we have to keep in mind the moto you get what you pay for ok??? having this in mind I gave the above rating. I will first refer to the people working there. Upon arrival I discovered that due to MY MISTAKE there was a mistake on my reservations.Approaching the desk and informing them , they did not leave me alone in solving the problem. One of the two LADIES on duty gave me all the nessecery time and attention to solve the problem. With the help of the booking com lady on duty they solved it right away. For that and only reason the hotel deserves a perfect 10, lets not forget the people of booking com. Having said that lets go to further particulars. Location excellent. Next to the chinatown, next to metro station, plenty of busses, across the street 3 different shopping centers, plenty of eating facilities for every type of wallet. Room , small, but perfectly clean, bathroom average sizw, the lack of shower , as we might know it, it was no problem since the drainage system was perfect, and constant hot water. in this trip stayed ia a same type of room but they are worlds apart . (sandy beach hotel in lanqkawai malaysia which was filthy ) . So the room was ok even though i would like it little bigger. But for nights sleep it was more than ok and pleasant. The area of the hotel excellent . All and all an honest hotel and above all excellent prople to help you out.
The hotel is very close to many major sights, all kinds if public transport are available as are cafes , shops and resataurants the room I had did not have a window which I thought would bother me but didn't in the end it made for a quieter room (apart from some uneducazed guests) the room was clean and functional with a decent TV , hairdryer and a much appreciated kettle bottled water was also provided as was shampoo and a dental care set enough plugs for todays mobile devices and last but not least very forthcoming , helpful reception staff,of course there are more luxurious hotels around but if like me one wants to see the city and not sit in his room this is a fantastic deal, should I ever come back to this city it will be to this hotel again for sure
