This is my 3rd visit/stay at Capella and it never fails to disappoint! Although, I did not stay as long as my last visit. Capella is still heads and shoulders above the rest of the hotels. From the moment, one steps into the hotel to the time one leaves, everything is simply amazing! Of course the price one pays for the hotel stay is also quite amazing! I will highly recommend having Breakfast at the Knolls. Although the spread of food was not that comprehensive, the quality was very good. If you have read my previous reviews on Capella, the Eggs Benedict is very good! I am very apprehensive of staying at other hotels as I feel none can match the high standards of Capella. Please keep up the good work! PS - Only 1 small piece of advice - the furniture and fittings are starting to be slightly worn so consider gradual replacement though the upkeep is impeccable!
An amazing setting, with the old army barracks as the central building. Rooms very spacious, ultra luxury finishes and the most beautiful view. Every meal was a gastronomical experience tantalizing the taste buds. Efficient, professional, helpful and friendly staff. It even has a lap pool for the keen swimmers.
Stayed here for an incredible weekend with my Wife and 4 year old Son. We all absolutely loved every bit. The commitment to customer service and satisfaction is incredible here and we appreciated it very much. Singapore has a lot of great hotels and restaurants, but it doesn't have a lot of great service. These guys sure do buck the trend. The food is excellent with various different options including a children's menu. The accommodation is lovely. The constellation suite was a real treat.
Starting my arrival at the hotel entrance till cheked-out, the service was outstanding. After efficient check-in process, the hotel staff guide me to the designated room. Along the way to the room he explained about main facilities available. Inside the room he explain how to control things using a tablet. It was like a short tour. The hotel is surrounded by forest. My room located in 3rd floor so I can see both forest and Singapore port from distance. Breakfast quality was excellent. It's a pity I don't have change to enjoy lunch and dinner at the hotel. Knowing the hotel targetting upper class customers, I would suggest to upgrade the television inside the room become HDTV. Nonetheless, the hotel is well recommended.
Booked a staycay last weekend (13-14 May) with my friends and pet dog. Was greeted by the very friendly staffs when checking in, they are very helpful in clearing our doubts and answering to our inquries. Check-in was swiftly and smooth. We were transferred to our villa by the buggy car and staff did a short introduction on the turning on and adjusting of aircon temperature, window blinds etc. The room was not very well cleaned (still handful of little junks underneath the table) that probably was missed out in the cleaning process. We booked the Garden Villa and everything was good, their shampoos and bathing lotion came in small bottle which is very fragrant. The only cons I would say is 1) We communicate with their Personal Assistant team that we require 1 additional hairdryer and also require the pet amenities but these were not prepared beforehand and was only brought over to us after a call to the operator. No big deal but it would be good if all these could be arranged before we check in. 2) Too many mosquitoes! We tried the outdoor pool and 4 of us got stung so badly. I understand that this is an outdoor area, but the amount of mosquitoes is terrible. I personally got bitten at least 20 bites while my friends was not any better. We found 2 Baygon plug to repel the mosquitoes but unfortunately, it didn't helped much. We were also bitten within the villa but those mosquitoes could have flew in when we opened the door. Could Capella Singapore maybe increase the fogging schedule? 3) Initially we arranged for a birthday fruit tart to be deliver over at 8:30PM but 2 days before the actual stay, we have to cancel it as upon checking, the fruit tart was not vegetarian as we have a friend who is vegetarian. The cancellation was acknowledged. Surprisingly, a staff came to our door (after 8:30PM) with the fruit tart and we have to reject him. The team needs better communication in such aspect. Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun in the villa and the aircon was good for the sunny weather. Day-bed is very comfortable and set-up of the day-bed was done promptly. We called for the in-room service for our dinner and the foods was good. We had Claypot Chicken Rice, Nasi Goreng, Mushroom Soup and Spaghetti Carbonara. The next day we have the breakfast buffet at The Knolls, foods was great, service is very prompt and staffs was friendly. I tried laksa, capella benedict, wanton noodle and the other foods, buffet ended at 11am. Despite some mis-arrangement, I would still like to recommend Capella Singapore to everyone! Oh, and the Personal Assistant team arranged a peacock plush and a bouquet of flower for my friend whom we are celebrating the birthday for. Handwritten card was also found but apparently addressed to the person name who booked the stay instead of the birthday girl (card inside was attn to birthday girl though). Hmmm.
Capella is fast becoming my favourite hotel brand. This is our second experience with them after St Lucia and they did not disappoint. The consistent exceptional personal service is out of this world. It really does feel like you are being taken care of by a family member or close friend. They really take the time to get to know you and use this information to enhance your stay. Sophia our PA at the hotel was just the best and I envy anyone who gets her looking after them when they stay as you will be treated like royalty and receive the best service and recommendations. The breakfast is fantastic. You can literally eat yourself around the world. If you are lucky the peacocks that live on the island will join you. The hotel is stunning and it's hard to believe you are near the city as you are submerged in the beautiful nature of the resort mixed with the traditional British colonial influences that add to the charm. We had a sea view and I enjoyed watching the boats on the sea at night with all the lights. I did not want to shut the blinds. I was like a moving picture. Thank you for making the start of our Asian adventure a beautifully relaxing experience. We look forward to returning to our Singapore home.
The hotel is relatively new and located on the Sentosa island - 15 min drive from city centre (Orchard rd., Scotts rd. etc.). This was not my first and even not 3rd stay in the hotel - been a loyal guest for several years in a row. The hotel is perfect if you want truly enjoy Singapore. Luxury yet very cozy and stylish. The service is fantastic well as everything in the hotel. Btw, a free shuttle bus operates from the hotel to Vivo city should you decide to go for a quick bite or shopping.
This is my 1st visit to Capella! When I arrived I don't even feel like I'm in Singapore! Because of the view and environment is so peace and quite! It's a perfect place to unwind ur vacation and relax your soul! I will definitely come and visit again!
AMAZING SERVICE. Cannot rave enough about Capella and their team. I had my wedding dinner hee and the team was exceptional. Everyone went out of their way to make our night a memorable one and it truly was. Celia, our liaison for the wedding worked tirelessly answering our messages even on weekends and after hours till The Day. Dora, Capella florist did impeccable work for my morning ceremony she is DA BOMB - Dora and team saved my wedding from an extremely embarrassing disaster due to an extremely disappointing outside vendor florist (Feel free to PM me if you want to know who). Truly impressed with everyone and am so thankful to have had all these wonderful souls take such good care of me for my wedding. Cannot sing enough praises of Dora and Celia. We also stayed for 3 nights and 4 days after and as expected of Capella - impeccable service. Truly truly stellar. Nothing but good things and lots of love from this Capella Bride!
