Loved it. Probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Combination of service, ambience and most amazing spacious rooms with awesome views. A Norman Foster modern addition brings the old and new together seamlessly. The owners have filled it with fantastic art throughout. I’d put it down as one of the great hotels to stay at. The bedrooms have great speakers as well for you to play your music very loud!
I booked a pool villa to celebrate my husband’s birthday over the weekend. The whole experience from start to end was just impecable; simply outstanding. Not only was it an amazing villa, placed in a quiet area, with all kind of amenities at our disposal, but the staff was just excellent. And this always makes such a difference. In our case it made our weekend outstanding. They knew it was my husband’s birthday and the whole weekend was full of special attention and details to him! It was just amazing. I can’t even express how much we enjoyed it! We didn’t want to leave!! We will definitely be back soon. It felt as if we had left Singapore for a few days, and it was just a short weekend! I definitely recommend it for a special ocassion or for any time you need to disconnect from the city and just unwind. Too good. Definitely worth it.
We just came from wellness afternoon tea in Chef’s Table. Anne was the who was attending to us the entire time. She was very pleasant. She explained all the teas and the food that was served to us. She was very knowledgeable. I would have loved to stay a little longer or even forever. I want to live there and have my wedding there. Anne toured us in the hotel library after having tea. Its such a lovely hotel. Very relaxing. Away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore. This is a good reason to come back to Chef’s table.
Most enjoyable cuisine and amazing Chef magic hands! Love the atmosphere, good food, good wine, good choice of music! Exceptional service!!! Love it!! Great great great chef and food, fantastic evening !
It was our first time dining in at Chef's Table for our business dinner and we had a really amazing and wonderful experience. From the food to the service everything was top-notch. There is even an interactive cooking session done by Chef David himself, whereby he invited our guests to join him in the cooking, all our guests really enjoyed it. Special thanks to Ms Swen, Chef David and his team for helping out and making sure the whole event was running smoothly. We also love the fact that the restaurant space is quite cosy which makes everyone very comfortable. We would highly recommend to anyone who wish to hold a corporate function and/or personal events!
I recently stayed here with young child and husband. I can't endorse this absolute paradise of a place more. It's my kind of hotel with amazing gardens and vegetation which surely do unlimited good to anyone spending time here. The understated luxury of the architectural detailing and quality of buildings is a tribute to all those involved in what I see would have been a challenging developmental feat. There are a good variety of rooms and positions to choose from and at all times, you are surrounded by this sublime landscape of greenery and beauty. All the staff seemed genuinely friendly, happy and helpful and the mix of guests, from families to business people and conference groups seemed to move effortlessly and discreetly between the abundant space of the hotel. There's a quiet beach not far of a walk from the hotel gardens below; facilities are well covered with various pool options and service from all staff was excellent. My only small suggestion would be that the wesetern food, is not quite up to standard - not quite there - eg, slightly strange cheese plate presentation/mix but a good variety of options all 'round. And of course, there's the bounty of tropical fruits to make the most of. If you have the choice to stay anywhere in Singapore, whether on business or for pleasure, I would choose the Capella - a short drive away from the traffic and crowds of the central city and worth it!
If you want a relaxing and personalised stay in Singapore, look no further than Capella. We stayed at the Capella when the hotel was at full capacity and you’d think that it would be crowded and the service would be lacking, but with the extensive lush green surroundings and friendly staff, our stay was nothing short of magical. Here’s a few highlights: Checkin - checkin was a breeze and took less than a couple of minutes. We were told that the hotel was at capacity and that we had been upgraded. We were then personally escorted to our rooms - by buggy. Room - remember when I mentioned we were upgraded? Well the original one bedroom booking became a 3 bedroom apartment complete with a fully stocked complimentary mini bar!!!! This was our home for the next 4 nights and boy did we enjoy our time. The rooms itself was stocked with Aussie brand Aesop amenities - simply beautiful. There were even kids bath robes and slippers- how is that for attention to detail? In Room Dining - the food was pretty good- and delivered with super efficiency. We tried the Haianese Chicken Rice (my kid said best ever!!!), Capella burger, club sandwich- no complaints- simply delicious. Buggy service - as we were at the apartments, we took a buggy every time we went out of the hotel. We got to know Haziq well - an ex footballer, so well mannered and relatable. In fact, all the concierge staff were amazing. We even took a buggy tour around the hotel grounds- twice. Look out for the peacocks wondering around. Restaurants 1. Knolls - we had breakfast and a couple of dinners there where we had the privileged of meeting the head chef, Ignacio. He is extremely hard working (we saw him early at breakfast and also at dinner), and a very humble man. We learnt that Ignacio was originally from Spain and as we were massive fans of Spanish food, he cooked us a Spanish feast! Think the freshest seafood paella, tapas and churros. Oh my goodness - it was so good. Definitely one of the best we’ve had period. Ignacio should definitely make permanent on the menu the garlic aioli- with no mayonnaise and egg, the aioli was so light and simply delicious! I would come back in a heart beat! Added to the beautiful food are the beautiful staff. We got to know Mudi, Nada and Maria- they were so energetic, professional and great with our 4 year old. A special call out to Murni- so very inspiration working full time with 4 kids!!! She has so much heart and seems to know everyone in the restaurant - what a wonderful asset to any company. 2. Cassia Great food and good service. They do have a strict dress code, so if you do go, no shorts or flip flops/thong- we learnt the hard way. As you can probably tell, we are massive fans of this hotel. For us, we learnt so much about the property through the passionate staff. They were all so generous with their time, experience, skills and hospitality. What more can you want from a hotel? Stay here if you want to make some wonderful memories. We certainly did.
i travel quite frequentlyy, and i must say that many times im surprised by so little knowledge of employes in hotels or restaurants, but here my surprise was opposite they knew allot and also treated me nicely. even chef it self come to me and asked what i would like and want to eat that he later on prepared. So really thumbs up for such experience. I stayed in villa with our own pool, reallv best resort ever with privacy and very clean.
My wife and I just spent a few days in Capella Singapore, after being a loyal guest to Mandarin Oriental, I wanted to try this property and stay this time out of the center. Ivy first impression was positive when we arrived at night time, a white colonial building, fire at the entrance and great smile opening the doors for us. The lobby is very warm and you feel like entering in a home. We were escorted to the villa that we booked. I will recommend to have more light in the green areas as it is dark and you do not see very well. Villa was quite big (over 125 meters) with a lot of privacy and a nice plunge pool. Amenities very special (AESOP) from Australia and we loved the linen of the bed, which was very thin and high quality. We spent majority of the time between our villa and the Spa. The Spa has treatments related with the phases of the moon. It is small but the quality of the therapist are very high!!!! Really good massages! The product that they use is just OK! Organic Pharmacy? After using Mandarin Oriental, they should look into upgrade the spa facilities; however I will go back to this one for the service, how they made us feel and the attentiveness. Food in general is good with the exception of Cassia that the service is also very high and the manager Bryan, well presented and very professional! You really made the difference Bryan! We loved the afternoon tea that they have as well there in the weekend, good value for the price. The pools were not busy at all. We went Two days to swim in the large one at he lowest part of the resort. It is quite incredible that the hotel must be full as breakfast was very busy; nevertheless later on there was not too many people in the areas. Nice to see the peacocks around then breakfast area. Overall, great experience if you want to relax a few days in the middle of paradise and just five minutes from town. Nice amenities in the room that we received and great attitude of the employees in general.
Attended a meeting with my company and for me, it was a nostalgic return when I entered to this grand hotel... from the staff to the beauty of the colony buildings, I really had an excellent stay! I loved the natural light that the meeting room had as well as the large variety of food and beverages in the coffee breaks and breakfast. Also, the welcome cocktail at the bar was really perfect with the music and nice view of the pools and around. It is always beautiful to come to this iconic hotel well managed!
