Stayed in a standard triple room with a loftbed and a single bed for just one night. Since we arrived late at night and was going to have an early check out we didn't think we needed the space and we also wanted to show the kids another way of living when on vacation. It was a bit irritating since we ended up being charged extra for the kids, 28 SGD per child for two children, even though we didn't (so we think) received any thing more for the price. This resulted in that the closet like room ended up being as expensive as a hotel room with a seperate bathroom and shower. So no more closet like room for us as a family - it's not worth is.
Smart looking hostel but space is very limited. Beds were comfy for what they were and although expensive for a hostel, it was the cheapest we found in Singapore. 1-4 nights stay is fine but I don't think it's appropriate for a long time stay.
Not really friendly people at check in. On the first day, 40 minutes before the end of the breakfast, there was no bread anymore. We only had one. Since that is almost the only thing to eat (beside milk with cornflakes) we asked if there was more bread. They told us to walk to another 5footway hostel if we wanted to eat more. I think this is bad so I told them that and then a guy got some bread for is, but not with a friendly gesture. Also, we did laundry and got our clothes back just stuffed and crumbled in a bag. The room was small (but clean, to be honest) and if you face the south bridge road, a lot of noise. From the neighbours as from the street as well. Overall, I would recommend another place to stay. Location is good though.
The room is very smell when we checked in ! The service at front desk (we met 2 girls at afternoon and night shift) was very bad and no polite at all. Need to have a good training for them. The bath room is good and looks new. Definitely, we won't come back to this place ! Actually, the location is quiet near with MRT.
I would recommend this inn! Me and my little sister booked our stay for two nights in the standard double room (included two towels). The location of the inn is next to the end of Pagoda Street (renowned for gift shopping aside from bugis street) which is not far from the Chinatown Station. The staffs was friendly and helpful. The room is quite small but clean and tidy. The bathrooms is clear and clean. In the morning, you will be served with loaves of bread, jams, toaster, cereals, apples in the kitchen. Kitchen are opened for 24 hours with choices of drinks such milk and coffee. Behind the inn, you'll get yourself many bars to visit. Not to forget, the Wi-Fi was really fast on my 1st night but not on my 2nd night. The minus is, the AC fan in my room seemed like couldn't be set to low, med, or high. Conclusion: For the price you paid, this inn is a nice choice!
Highly recommended inn! We booked our stay for two nights in their superior double loft room (two towels will be provided w no surcharges) and I'm delighted that the room is clean apart from the couch (a little dirty and stained), everything was just great. The toilets are in good term and clean but preferably if bidet can be installed in certain cubicles. Breakfast (cereals, toast bread, apples, milk, assorted jams) was decent and there's a coffee machine. The workers and housekeepers are friendly and helpful. Great location for foods, bars (Ann Chiang Rd), and sightseeing. Near to MRT and bus stop!
Singapore rooms are VERY expensive. This is a budget option, just average. Staff. Just ok, not very friendly but helpful. Room. Not spacious; if the 4 people is trying to do something on the floor, there is just no enough space. Bed. Very clean. Bath & showers. Clean an roommy. Wifi. Powerful in the room Breakfast. Poor.
Booked a superior twin room at the hostel, which was far from that. Firstly the room and the hallways were very grubby and smelt heavily of damp. The bed was very rickety. The room faced onto the main road with no net curtains or anything so had to have the curtains drawn constantly. The room was also so loud from the main road out front and some sort of drum banging ceremony at the temple across the road at 7am. But worst of all there were a lot of ants down the side of the mattress and climbing up the wall. We informed the girl at reception and she said someone would come and take a look but they didn't. Could feel them crawling on you at night - ended up having to pull the bed away from the wall (this then revealed a filthy floor under the bed so no wonder there were ants in there). The only positives were the common room downstairs with free access to computers and a chill space. This was very nice compared to the rooms upstairs. For the higher price we paid for the room we were very very disappointed.
It was a budget accommodation with a great location. We check in with my family and its great bonding in a small room also clean bathroom and good wifi connection but the complementary sim is not available that time..You will definitely meet friends in their self service pantry and i like their simple yet overflowing breakfast :) Thank you for the nice stay :)
I stay here for 3 nights with my friends and family of 12 people + 1 toddler. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room quite good and clean. I love the triple bedroom but the electricity plug only 1 for 3 people. Pantry quite good for asian people but for westerns too small especially in breakfast time. I love the hairdryer in womens bathroom. Good wifi connection. And we got sim card as complementary which is very helpfull. We enjoy our stay here.. thanks and keep it up!
