+ : - Location is near from many happening places such as Haji Lane, Bali Lane, Bugis. Sultan Mosque, and many more - All staffs are kind, helpful, and nice -Assorted breakfast -Unique room - : - A little bit smelly in bathroom (especially shared bathroom) - The room is quite small -They should improve the cleanness
You get what u pay for which is a place to rest and shower. Another positive it's near halal restaurants or pubs if that is more to your liking. Mrt station is in walking distance about 500 meters away. The pipes are too noisy for my liking though. Overall, a good experience.
I like the concept and there is free singapore simcard with data and talktime given to guest. However there are a few issues where i listed as per below: Hygiene The room was dirty with mosquito in the bathroom. i counted and killed 5 mosquito, think it was breeding in the sewage system from the bathroom. Anyway the carpeted floor was dirty and no slipper provided. I think if there is a key improvement that need to be done, it is to clean the carpet and provide slipper to the guest, it can be quite gross to have to walk with barefoot on a dirty carpet. The towel provided to guest is dirty with stain Sleep/comfort The room has very bad sound proof, in the morning around 4am , there is already movement in the corridor and noise from opening and closing door every 15 minutes or so.
I stayed in a 4 bed dorm on the 3rd floor, there were no bathroom facilities on that floor, so needed to go down the spiral stairs to use these. These were reasonably clean, however they really need cleaning (or at least the bins emptied) more than once a day The free breakfast was very basic - cereal, bread, and some fruit. They advertise free tea & coffee - this is a machine that dispenses almost undrinkable tea. The room was small and had no windows, therefore no ventilation. It smelt quite badly of stale foot odour - maybe this was due to one of my room-mates though! There needs to be either some kind of constant ventilation or at least some kind of air-freshener. I visited the rooms on the ground floor at the back of reception and noticed the corridor smelt quite badly of damp carpet. The location was ok - about a 7-10 min walk to Nicoll Highway MRT and probably 15 min to Bugis MRT. About a 5 min walk to Arab St. I had read some reviews about noise from the neighbouring club, but I didn't hear any. Staff were quite friendly and helpful.
The room is on par with its' price. We were given the room at Ground floor nearby the reception so it was a bit noisy in the night. Bathroom in the room is clean. However I find the room to be a bit humid. I went to see the shared bathroom as well, small but clean. They provide a free sim card for each guest to use during stay in Singapore. There is free breakfast on the 2nd floor. Wifi is provided too. However if you arrive before check-in time, you might have to wait at the reception area till the room is available for check-in.
Pros - internet is fast and staff are friendly and they provide free breakfast from 6.30am to 10am and unlimited hot and cold drinks eg. teas/coffee. Location is good - 15 min walk from Bugis station. The only decent looking area is the reception area. The rooms are carpeted and it looked like it's seen better days. The functionality of the room is non existence. There is only 2 power sockets one is for the lamp and the other for the exhaust fan in the room so you couldn't charge more than one item at a time eg. mobile/laptop. We stayed in 17a triple room. Sleeping on the top bunk the aircon splattered water on me while I was trying to sleep and when we left for the day it leaked water on the other end of the bed, through this make shift panel (for water pipes) that was semi covering the entrance of the top bunk. The bed covers that we had, had stains on it and grey in colour. The walls and ceiling was mouldy and dusty with spider webs. Over all it just needs a good clean and maintenance done around the place.
More or less 10 minutes’ walk from MRT Bugis. Near Arab street, Haji Lane, Bugis Junction and Sultan mosque where the famous Zamzam is located. 5footway.inn offered us free room upgrade when we arrived because there’s no more quad room available, it actually made us very happy after a very tiring day of walking around the city. Don't forget to prepare your S$10 deposit upon check-in. It is also very generous to have 24/7 unlimited coffee in the kitchen. Breakfast serves as early as 6:30AM which includes fruit, cereals, toast and your choice of jam. Good air-conditioning and comfy bed. I also love their terrace, we just had a good conversation over a cup of coffee with friends from 10PM to 4AM, staff are 24/7 available.
5foot way in, is the same model in boat quay and bugis. with 3 floor and breakfast style also the bedroom style too. I like the facility in breakfst room, milo and coffe also the hot water in 24 hours, In bugis is the town, you can get a good view onl,y the house and office nuildeng, but near the haji lane, kampoong glam also the sultan mosque. it nice to stay here
5footway is a good location for who's dont have transpot. It was very near the bus stop ( Golden Mile and Ban san Street) and near MRT stations. The hostel is clean and the staff is friendly. Nearby the bugis and food stall. High Recommend.
Chose 5footway.inn cuz my bus stopped at Golden Mile Tower nearby. It is easily accessible via bus or MRT as both have stations nearby. Located right next to Haji Lane if you are up for some photo-taking. Have quite some amount of small pubs and bars nearby. Even restaurants around the hostel are good! We were given a free sim card with 100mb and RM6 credit. It helped us in finding our way with Google map. It was a great stay!
