This is very nice for an older property. The breakfast was awesome as was their service while we were there. The room was kind of small but that was to be expected. We would stay there again. Beautiful area to sit and enjoy the river behind the hotel.

We felt like being treated like king and queens. Rooms were great at this historic place in the county side. Food very yummy especially breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a couple of great days at Svostrup Kro.

We had a wonderful dinner and huge breakfast here and enjoyed staying overnight. It made the perfect stop for us between Copenhagen and Aarhus. We found it very quaint and authentic but also comfortable and clean. A special place to visit.

This inn was an unexpected surprise. We reserved the suite which had a full dining room, an upstairs with two beds, a lovely bath - very Danish and very quaint. The grounds were beautiful and the dinner was excellent. The staff was attentive and one waiter in particular really went out of his way to ensure that the food was to our liking. This was a wonderful stay.

great hotel by a lovely river

This is a converted farmhouse and farming complex dating back to the 1830s. They have fixed up all of the old rooms very comfortably and the restaurant is excellent. If you like exotic liqueur you will be amazed by their collection of scotch (250) rum (40) cognac (30) Armagnac (20) and aquavit (without number). The farm is located by the side of a lovely river and overlooks a meadow. The grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly, helpful and extremely accommodating. The hostess took us on a tour of the wine cellar. If you prefer 21st century chrome and glass you will be disappointed. If you like something different with history and charm you will love this place.
