Hotel Garden

The hotel is located on the fa end of the city with splendid views of he town of Siena. The rooms are spacious and charming. The property is surrounded by large gardens where one can take a walk or jog. Breakfast was OK. The only drawback is that it is around 30mn walk from the city centre, however if you arrive by your own car it has ample parking facilities (free) and it is just a 4 min drive to Fortezza and the city centre.

A few friends and I stayed at Hotel Garden for one night but we are staying in Siena, and overall, it’s a rather formulaic hotel that is split up between a bunch of different buildings. The welcome was not friendly, as the booking we made did not transfer over to the hotel. We got it sorted out, but we had two rooms and they didn’t put us together, which was odd. In fact, they put us in completely separate buildings from one another. I would understand if we booked this last minute and the hotel was full, but the hotel was basically empty. On a map, the location seems pretty central, but I would say this is removed from the places where you want to go. You have to take a cab or public transportation to the walled city, and while we were walking in Siena we saw so many more hotels with a better location than this one. The room itself is pretty standard, just like a Hampton Inn. The Wi-Fi was strong, and it was free. They was a good selection of TV channels. Breakfast was pretty substantial, typical for Italian hotels. This is also a large event space, and when we were coming home at night, there was not a close place to park, then all the cars were gone in the morning. Overall, there wasn’t anything actively wrong with this hotel, but there are better locations for Siena.

Lucky for us that Booking .com and the San Marco screwed up our reservation with them as we found a superb replacement in the Hotel Garden - fantastic rooms in the older part of the hotel with more than ample room for two in a king size bed. Very good housekeeping staff and excellent front desk and restaurant food and staffing - we will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Sienna.

I was really disappointed with the Hotel Garden. Our room was small and dark (nothing like the pictures),the toilet ran all night long, the bed was so hard, the pillows were the thinnest I have ever had in a hotel and the blanket was much too thin, as well. The hotel could definitely use some upgrading, especially to be rated at 4 stars. On the positive side, the hotel has a great view of Siena, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was really good. I don't think I would stay again just because the beds were soooo uncomfortable.

We were in Italy for a week staying in different locations most nights so we only had 1 night here.. A lovely hotel, good room size, nice powerful shower, and lovely breakfast. The only thing wrong was the incredibly uncomfortable bed.. and I have to say this was one of the worst I've ever tried to sleep on!. All in all - had the bed been OK it would have been a fab stay and good value for money.. But a sleepless night is never good :(

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel! The breakfast was good and the view wow! The cofffe was very good. Its kind expensive to eat there, for dinner for exemple, but you should try. And try the wines. The staff is great. The room big and clean. they have big gardens and beautiful also.

A short taxi ride, or bus ride if you know the route, from the train station. We took a taxi for about 12 euros because we were tired and not familiar with the bus route. Excellent staff - very knowledgeable and willing to help with directions and places to eat. We had dinner at the hotel our first night after traveling and it was excellent. You can have a cocktail or glass of wine at the small bar next to the restaurant or bring your our own bottle of wine and sit out on the large patio and watch the sun set on the walls of Sienna. Right on the bus line and a short ride to the tourist areas of Sienna. Rooms are very nice and clean

From the girl serving drinks at the pool, the chambermaids, the reception staff, the restaurant staff and of course Alti in the cocktail bar, all of the staff made our stay one to remember. We look forward to returning soon. Great location to explore Sienna and Tuscany. The reception staff always had great suggestions for places to go for a good day trip. Nice walk to Siena or 10 minutes on the regular bus service. Even a taxi was quick and not expensive. Nice room in the annexe with a view over the countryside. Rooms were spotless with fresh towels everyday. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Good daytime snacks and a good menu in the evening in the restaurant. Great to return late in the afternoon to enjoy a cocktail as the sun goes down with views over Siena from the terrace.

Girls trip to Italy and ended it with a stay at your hotel! The views are beautiful and the staff are amazing!!! Wish we could have stayed for a month! From the moment you check in until the time you leave your staff treated us like royalty. Can’t wait to come back and spend more time enjoying the sights of Siena !

This looked like it should have been a good hotel from what the travel agent had told us and its 4-stars. But it had several problems. First it is a long walk to the centre of the cit,y some minutes NOT the 20 on the adverts. The breakfast was poor for a 4-star hotel. It was the same every day with only eggs and bacon on the hot tray, and too few savouries. We were in one of the outhouses and it was extremely noisy and so sleeping was difficult. However, it did have a good pool, the rooms were nicely appointed, the staff very attentive and the bar, barman and the bar nibbles were all excellent. So all said and done not a disaster but I would never stay there again.
