This was our eighth visit to Hotel Garden and, as usual, it didn't disappoint. All the staff were, as usual, friendly, helpful and courteous. The swimming pool has been improved and it's lovely not to have "piped " music blaring out and spoiling the enjoyment of young and old. The food and beverages are excellent. We have visited the hotel in January, April and August and always make sure any holiday planned in Italy incorporates this Hotel. We are already planning to come next year to see the Palio for the fifth time. We are sorry to be leaving but looking forward to coming again in 2018. Linden Eley (Miss)
We had 3 nights at Hotel Garden. I've seen quite a lot of reviews criticising the "annex " buildings. It's fair to say that these buildings are not attractive - like a concrete youth hostel rather than a 4 star hotel ! But we still found overall the hotel to be fine. The children were made welcome and the staff were all helpful and friendly. We liked the fact that the pool was never busy and we could chill whilst the children swam and mucked about. I do agree that other than the obvious reception areas etc the hotel is a bit tired - the main building is obviously in all the photos but for obvious reasons the annex buildings are not ! This is misleading really. About a 20 minute walk into Siena which is obviously stunning. The lunch menu was great for the children with pizzas, fish and chicken nuggets etc - anyone with picky children will be relieved to avoid a food argument ! Overall I cant really rate this hotel as a 4 star but for a few days for us it was fine and the location is perfect. I think if you are expecting luxury certainly dont stay in one of the annexes though !
Recently returned from our trip to Europe; stayed at Hotel Garden for 2 nights. Staff was friendly, informative, helpful from the minute we walked in. The room (suite) we had was in the main building and it was a lovely room with a fantastic view of the large back patio (where you could eat outside), the grounds, and Siena in the distance. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant; the wait staff was extremely professional, friendly, and attentive. The breakfast included a large selection and was very nice; dinner was absolutely delicious. If it's on the menu, get the Pici pasta dish; you'll want more! It was a lovely few days in Siena, and we hope to come back and stay another time.
We stayed for 9 nights at Hotel Garden in Siena. It's a very pleasant hotel, with a very kind staff. At the end of our holiday an employee of the hotel even drove us to the railway station, because there were no available taxi's at that moment. The rooms were very clean and the food was good. We can recommend this hotel to have a nice holiday.
A small group of us have just stayed for a week at the Garden Hotel & found it a highly relaxing & comfortable throughout. Situated on high ground, 10 minutes by car from Piazza del Campo, the well-appointed outdoor lounge areas benefitted from much needed cool breezes & stunning views over Siena. The plentiful staff were invariably friendly & helpful; Dragana being a particular delight. The pool was well maintained & offered sufficient lounging space for the guests. The food & accommodation were reasonable & the well stocked bar provide a wide range of titbits each evening. Highly recommended.
Great hotel little bit outside the city. Large room huge shower. Really very nice breakfast with very large selection. Great pool area with smaller children's pool. Bus for 1.20€ takes you to city center. Huge parking area. Would definitely come again! Recommend!
Excellent stay at the Hotel Garden during our trip in Italy this summer. The staff was very helpful and great ! Swimming-pool was amazing ; Breakfast buffet was excellent and plenty of different fresh food Very quietful and nice view to the city from the restaurant terrace. Hotel to be recommended with no hesitation.
This is a very large resort style hotel with a large swimming pool, a wading pool, abd a tennis court all set in a large garden setting. Our room was reasonably large and very comfortable. The shower was quite small but otherwise the bathroom was serviceable. A lovely multi choice buffet breakfast, but be aware this is a large resort and the buffet was very crowded on the weekend. There is a lovely huge terrace area, overlooking the valley to the old town, where we regularly enjoyed a cocktail or two. Great bar snacks are also provided. There is ample parking. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The 25 minute walk to town is well worth staying in this great resort. Highly recommended.
Beautiful city enormous cultural choice and treasures to discover everywhere: churches, museums, etc. The garden hotel is a bit out of Siena but it has a bus that leaves at the city center. Perfect location, swimming pool, good gastronomic experience, and very calm to rest after a lon g day walking! A very good choice!
We stayed for 6 nights as a base to explore Tuscany. The hotel was excellent with friendly staff, clean rooms, ample breakfast and a pool to have a break in the hot afternoon sun. Roberto, the lovely man on the bar looked after us with our regular drinks in the evening along with all the snacks provided complimentary each night. I would recommend this hotel. There's lots of choices nearby to eat at, a 15 minute walk into Siena and a restaurant onsite if you don't feel like walking. Will be back one day!
