There is nothing 4* about this hotel. When we arrived we waited 10 minutes at reception for someone to show up. We even tried calling the phone and no one answered. It is dirty and very basic. The air conditioning didn't work in room. Check out was 12 noon but staff knocked at door at 9am and woke us up to clean room.
We spent one night there on route to Rome. Happened to be the palio practice season. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Reception was helpful in arranging a taxi to the centre and we walked the 2km back. Nice stop-over. We skipped breakfast as we chose to eat in town as we watched the palio.
Totally satisfying experience: perfect location from which to explore the sights of Tuscany by car. Comfortable room where everything was working fine (A/C, wifi, hair dryer, hot water), very good breakfast, friendly, helpful staff and owner who goes out of his way to help with travel suggestions.
Nice clean hotel near of Siena City Center. Breakfast was good, cold juices and good espresso and also cheese and ham! Staff was really helpfull and friendly. Bed and pillows was good. We went to City Center by bus, and it took 10minutes and cost like 1,2e/Person oneway.
I saw some bad reviews on here but we didn't find much to complain about. Rooms were very good for price although slightly uncomfortable beds, spacious parking, free water and snacks throughout the day, very friendly staff. To get to the centre it is advisable to take the bus however you need to walk for 5 mins and part of the way on the road with no sidewalk. We tried to catch the bus back in the evening but just missed the last one at around 8:30, so had to catch a taxi for around 7 euros. Overall we were satisfied and would consider staying here again.
Let us check in early which was greatly appreciated & made themselves available to give advice/ detail about Siena. Other than the service, the place was pretty average. The bed was similar in comfort to a fold out & the hair drier & phone in our room didn't work. There were also ants in our room. Just average overall but hey, you get what you pay for!
I didn't stay at this hotel but wanted to praise the desk clerk who was working on the afternoon of Oct. 12. She (a self-described "Human GPS") provided me with impeccable directions to the Siena hotel I had booked; I'm not sure we would have found the hotel without her! That she was so helpful to someone not even lodging at the hotel points to her professionalism and kindness. She deserves a big raise! Sincere thanks to you.
The hotel is in an aged building, pretty basic. Courteous staff, good size rooms, very basic but cozy furnishings, good size tv, air conditioning not effective at all (only noisy), free parking area....it's all quite fine, the only big disappointing con is breakfast which is very expensive for what it is: 7 euros per person. I will go again but will have breakfast in one of the many coffee bars in town.
I have worked in the customer service/hospitality industry for over 10 years and have never experienced such disrespectful behavior, especially from a hotel manager. They do not care about you and will not try to fix any problems they make. The room was decent, although there was a dirty rag left behind and the food left in the evening for hungry guests were covered in ants. Wifi DID NOT WORK in our hotel room, which was on the first floor either. The plus side was free parking. They also charged by credit card without authorization, so be mindful because they do not do things the right way here.
Stayed here for one night, at check in front seat woman told us that breakfast was included which it was not, wifi never worked at all, and the A/C did not work either, then I went to check out the new front seat agent told me breakfast was not included. I then asked to speak to a manager and she called him and made him speak to me over the phone which I thought was strange, he then proceeded to tell me that the wifi was free, I should have known breakfast was not free and was not about to do anything to compensate my crappy stay. I have worked in the hotel industry for over 14 years and this property gets a service FAIL..... Spend $10 extra euro and stay at a hotel that knows how to take care of there guest and not make excuses for bad service
