Lucky Angkor Hotel & Spa4.0 out of 5.0

Before I checked in I was worried that the hotel would be a tad bit noisy because it's located right on the highway connecting Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. But I was wrong, the rooms were very well sound proofed. One thing that can be improved is the breakfast. Had better breakfast at other hotels in SR but they were more expensive than Lucky Angkor. Overall, no issues, I rate it 5 out of 5.
Found two baby lizards inside of the room. Besides the lizards, the bathroom and beds were nice. So, if you like lizards, I recommend this hotel. I gotta say Cambodian hotels aren't the best, but this one smelled so bad!
Little away from pub street 4 km. Except that everything about the hotel is AWESOME. Peaceful and quiet the hotel has all the facilities that a good hotel can boast of. Restaurant has wide menu. Pool is clean Exteriors are tastefully done up. Staff is courteous and is very pocket friendly. Good for visitors with family.
Location is a 3dollar tuk tuk away from pub street, Staff are very friendly and can advise you on many various cheapier local bars to drink , the rooms are spacious and comfortable, Mr Chen is so nice and helpful.
This hotel is very serious about service. Friendly staff always willing to assist in your day to day needs. Very clean and comfortable. I'm a vegetarian and the chef prepared a special fried rice everyday for breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is situated near Pub street. Tuk tuk is 5mins drive. Keep up the excellent work.
3/10. Heres why. For the $60 odd usd per night charge this hotel lacks in almost every department. We stayed here for 3 nights In early Feb 17. Hotel grounds - Interiors are not air conditioned. They are dark and dirty with dirt and loose wires everywhere. I saw a fire alarm hanging from a wire. Lift smells like its burning. The gym is terrible, with the machines looking like they are falling apart. Pool and surrounds are good. Buffet breakfast was inferior with not many options and sub standard food. Hotel menu was over priced and food was bad. Pizza was a frozen pizza heated in oven, burger not much better. We asked for the free air port pickup and it never arrived. Wifi was very good and reliable. Hotel is more than a comfortable walk to city centre/pub street. You can barter the tuk tuk to $2 usd each way if you walk away. They usually chase you down and agree to $2. Room- We had a standard room in the old building on second floor. Bathroom was very dirty and they are in need of updating. Bathroom door doesnt close properly. Small tv and rock hard bed. Pillows rock hard. I suspect a note or two went missing from our room but Im only 80% sure. Service - Really good, but most staff only speak the local language so most of the time we didnt bother asking for things.
I stayed here for a week at a conference and then stayed for another 5 days on holiday. Can't fault the reception staff, who are very helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It's a bit off the beaten track so if you want to go into town you need to get a Tuk Tuk which costs about 3 dollars each way. The breakfast is good but lunch and dinner I had there was not good and the staff's English was not very good so although I asked for vegetarian food I was served meat and prawns and had to send things back, so I only ate there when it was too late, or I was too tired to go out.
Excellent staff with a very good attitude aimed at meeting or exceeding customer needs. My special thanks to all staff at the front desk; the little lady who played the musical instrument by the poolside lobby in the evening; the bar-staff by the poolside; and, the Chef who jigged up vegetarian breakfast for us noting we did not eat meat/ chicken/ fish or eggs, and all this in the most pleasant way without any fuss... we will return..
A cozy, clean and good for money hotel. The facilities are good and recommended choice for anyone's stay. Hot water with big bathtub in the room. Room size is big and staff can speak english well. Location is center and closed to tourists attractions
This hotel was recommended and booked by a Cambodian friend. It was a good choice. The staff were excellent, especially Stefan. All the staff had good customer service and as for once I was travelling on my own I felt well looked after.
