Had the WORST EVER NIGHT MARE with this hotel. HAD so bad of rash within my first night sleep of 2 hours. Woke up to so many bed bugs bite and had to sit in the toilet because everywhere were filled with the bugs. Changed to another room on the second and complained but it was again INFESTED with all kinds of bites, both me and my friend had to go down to reception at 2am in the morning. They gave us the 3rd room BUT IT WAS AGAIN THE SAME BUGSSSSS ON THE BED!!!! we ended up sleeping in the bath tub and toilet bowl. RECORDED THE ENTIRE BUGS having PARTY on all of our beds, the sheets the pillow! apparently it seemed so normal to all of your staffs they were not bothered by it at all.SERIOUSLY????? had close to 100+ bites swollen all over my body!!!!! you can check the CCTV footage as we went down to complained and showed the staffs on both nights (wee hours)
Stayed here for a few nights whilst in Cambodia. The hotel is well located and easy to walk to the Night Market, Pub Street, the Museum and has many restaurants in close proximity. The staff were very welcoming with smiles every time we entered or left the hotel. The breakfast was fair, enough to eat to start the day and had variety to suit most tastes. The free wifi worked well and the pool is very peaceful if you want a few hours of quiet near the pool. This hotel could do with an update and that is the reason for my average score. The rooms are very basic although they do have coffee/tea making facilities and a fridge, the beds are comfortable but need additional pillows (which we asked and never received) and the tv only showed one english speaking channel for the hour or so you may want to just chill out. Overall the room was clean and it is well located to lay your head down at night.
Perhaps the only (and I mean only) reason why anybody would want to stay at this hotel is its location. Five points: (i) the hotel is definitely not 4 star. The dowdy and tatty decor suggests a 2 star rating. Ignore the pictures of the rooms on the hotel's website - they must have been taken years ago (ii) during the three days we stayed here, we did not see anybody test the swimming pool for water quality. There was no indication that they carried out such tests. The pool's changing rooms smelled disgusting. (iii) the fact that the ground-floor restaurant was empty every night tells its own story. The quality of the breakfasts was poor to average. The only encouraging aspect was the helpful and obliging service from a couple of young, junior waiting staff. The 'chefs' at breakfast wandered around aimlessly and were completely clueless and disinterested. (The Nest Restaurant, about 200 metres away, is a great place for dinner) (iv) a mistake had been made on our booking and we spoke to our travel agent in London. It was agreed that we would pay an additional amount which was to be added to our bill at check-out. Despite this, we were hassled on a number of occasions to pay the sum immediately by the hotel's duty manager. (v) the hotel's reception area was like a sauna. It appeared that the only time they turned on the air conditioning was when they were expecting new guests. The front-office team agreed, reluctantly and sullenly ("I do not know how it works") to switch on the AC in the reception area while we waited for the coach to the airport
It was our first time in Cambodia and we stayed at the Angkor Holiday hotel. The location was great , close to pub street where the night market is located. (The night market is open even during the day). The hotel is also very nicely located amidst a small mall and restaurants , a salon and numerous massage places. The hotel though was very disappointing. The staff was far from friendly, front desk people were not as welcoming and helpful as expected in hotels. The whole hotel is very old and smells a bit moldy too. The hotel can defiinitely use some major upgrading. The room was a good size but the bathroom was probably the worst part of the stay. The shower has an open design without a door and whenever we took a shower , the water from the shower spilled onto the whole bathroom floor and to top it all the shower drain was clogged so we always had a flood in the bathroom every time we took a shower. We complained several times, but nothing was done and when help finally came the housekeepingor engineering Dept. came with a broken plunger that obviously did nothing. The staff didn't speak very good English so it was difficult to tell them that the way they were trying to fix the problem was not going to work. We just dealt with the problem up to the time we checked out, because they didn't fix the problem. Another thing was when we asked for an extra pillow the first night they said they ran out of pillows , which is hard to believe at a hotel. The breakfast was just average with an omelette station. The person working at the omelette station hardly spoke English and was very rude so we opted not to even order any eggs. Overall we were very disappointed and unhappy with this hotel , we would not recommend it at all, despite enjoying the sites of the whole city . Cambodia is beautiful and has lot of offer, there are also a lot of other hotels to choose from.
I really amazing with Angkor Holiday Hotel very much! Staffs friendly, nice break fast and restaurant ,beautiful pool, lovely room with cleaning, the best location that collection of service there! I recommend this hotel!
good property hotel, main road is a big advantage forever and walkkable to all streets, pub street night market kmer street so on rooms, big bed fine, breakfast fine, house keeping they just provide things only on first day in four days stay and reception ambience is fine but receptionist inthe day they dont have pleasing grace in their face and reponds to european not brown asians its not like in land of smiles .......
This hotel scores highly on its location within a short walk of the centre. Most of the other large hotels are significantly further out. The hotel has large, clean rooms and a very nice pool. The downside is breakfast where they just cannot cope with the peak demand.
The reviews of this hotel are certainly mixed and I think that's because it does have some good points, but there are bad ones too. Part of this I think is due to a lack of understanding of what international tourists expect in terms of level of facilities and service. I definitely wouldn't rate it 4 star, more like 3. So, the good - a large clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast selection, good location, room service is reasonably priced and tasty, the pool seems very clean and the water a nice temp. The bad - my start didn't get off very well. I arrived from Australia having travelled overnight without much sleep, first time in Cambodia. When I checked it (it was 11 am) I was told there wouldn't be a room available til 2pm and that I would have to "go away and come back later". WT!? Now I know there is a check in time, but I think when you arrive from overseas there should be a bit more of a service focus than that! I told them of my newly arrived situation and that "I didn't know where to go!". They said I could use the pool area and took me there - no towel, no wifi password, not even the offer of water. I asked about a room again after about an hour, and then again after a further half an hour when I decided to be firmer about it and if that got me nowhere to lay down in the lobby and have a sleep, but luckily they eventually took pity on me. I think they had rooms free the whole time - there is no way this hotel is full - not many people around, breakfast empty, not many lights on in rooms at night. Also - wifi is hopeless - slow and drops out constantly. Light switches dodgy and seem to turn different lights on at random! Air conditioner is extremely noisy even with fan on low, plus I have a bank of airconditioners from other rooms right outside my balcony, large construction site next door means there is loud drilling and banging day and night (not the hotel's fault I know that), safe was locked shut when I arrived and it took awhile to get that sorted which delayed my tour guide and I, the gym (which I was planning to use) is abandoned with broken down equipment covered in dust, the day I went to Angkor Wat I got back 8 hours later and my room had still not been made up which was annoying as I had put the sign on my door and when I got back I was tired and hot and just wanted to flop. All in all I think you could find better. I am staying here as it is part of a package I bought but I will be advising the tour company to think again on this one.

Well it was not what I expected of hotels in Cambodia, I thought it would be 2 star but I was pleasantly surprised at the appreance and service of this hotel, meals were good, the pool also and the pool side bar we drank dry Angkor beer on tap $1.00 at happy hour.
