So I write a few reviews and stay at various places and write my review not as a rant cause something went wrong and give it one star without thinking your not helping others who may wish to stay. Check in was excellent my daughter got an Easter egg nice touch The room - it was cold and a little outdated and as mentioned the doors etc are worn but it was ok and bed comfy for me my wife and my daughter. The restaurant was below average in my view and I did see a recent council Hygiene inspection which gave it a 2 and a poor for hygiene. Service they did really try always smiling but was slow and forgot our order BUT they gave us free drinks so I like the recognition and I was happy. The breakfast was also pretty basic with over cooked and must be microwaved scrambled egg but the rest was ok. The bar was fine; yes you had to wait sometimes but they are all running around and my Barman was excellent and I’d like the reader of this from the hotel to pass it on that bar staff were excellent. (It is pricey but we knew this from the reviews) The pool and gym were all ok and the general cleanliness was good In all this is fine for an overnight stay. Don’t expect the Ritz but don’t expect a dive either. In short to help those reading I WOULD stay again no problem.
Paid up front to save time following morning on check out - but wasn't given invoice until I asked. Very expensive bar. Nice sized room, with good bathroom, shower a little small. The bed was way too soft and probably past its best but I did sleep well. No USB slots Tv had no remote Easy to navigate to, with plenty of parking The breakfast was plentiful but of average quality... Remember to book this at the desk... I found the hotel adequate, with lots of facilities but for a 4 star, it was a little bland in approach and style... Ok for a business user.
Popped in to have coffee and lunch with a colleague. I think the staff need more training on the tills! Poor woman who served us was having huge problems. Then the fire alarm went off and we (customers) just sat there without anyone asking us to move out of the hotel. Staff went outside but... Anyway, we enjoyed our lunch
Lovely hotel, check in smooth by Nico who is charming and so helpful. Given a choice of bath or walk in shower (chose the latter). Room had all needed such as hairdryer/ironing board and iron /sage and even a fan. Very comfy bed and pillows. A bonus that window opened for fresh air, definite plus in my book. Only one observation bathroom door a little grubby and could do with a lick of paint. Attended a dinner/dance in evening in hotel also very well run. Only slight negatives: could have had a few more bar staff and prices!!! Drinks costly. This was explained that prices are set by the Radisson group irrespective of hotel location so basically paying LONDON prices. This doesn’t seem fair to guests, hence the drop of one in rating.
I have stayed in the area working for the past four months and this is probably the worst hotel in the area for value for money with the rooms, food and drinks with a pint of lager at the bar costing £5
Had a meeting at the park inn all day. Had full conference facilities. Excellent service I would highly recommend. Nothing is too much trouble! We use them a lot for work. Convenient location and free parking
Reception staff - on the whole - were disinterested. Hotel is old fashioned. Room was ok, but bathroom a bit shabby. Barman was abrupt. Finally, when you’re sitting in the bar area and restaurant staff are happily using the ‘f word’, you know that management needs to take a long hard look at training policies.
Would recommend this hotel to others. Very friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms and food was delicious. Location is ideal for Telford shopping centre. Would stay here again when staying in the area.
When u pay £102 for the weekend and given a naff shower, maids who cant clean a bedroom or make a bed properly and also a very poor breakfast at 7.50, i asked a for a full english which was made to order, wen asked if i wanted sweet potato hash I expected a hash brown made out of sweet potato not chunks with loads of onion and weird looking scrambled egg, plus side the bed was comfy and staff welcoming wen staying at a RADISSON i expect high standards!
Stopped off for some food and got a parking fine in the post a week later. A paring fine in Telford! What a joke of a company. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, unless you appreciate being sent threatening letters.
