My elderly mom and I enjoyed a lovely (but too brief!) stay at The Blue Elm. The cottage is truly spacious, immaculate and very tastefully updated. Check-in was very easy via a lock box, and the path and parking were well-lighted for an evening arrival. The kitchen is very clean and well-equipped, although we didn't prepare any meals. There is a nicely outfitted coffee/tea station for guest use. The primary bedroom is very large and adjoins the full bathroom, which has an amazing custom marble double shower. There is a rather high step up into the bedroom, which was a little challenging for my mom. The sofa bed in the living room was extremely comfortable-- literally the best mattress I have ever slept on, and I will likely purchase one for myself. The furnished screen porch is extraordinary and looks out over a field and gardens. The whole unit offers a great feeling of privacy from any of the rooms. The property and neighborhood are very quiet. Communication with Nick was very easy and the WiFi was working well. My only disappointment was that we had so little time to enjoy this lovely cottage, due to our schedule. Thank you, Nick and Tiffany for a wonderful stay-- highly recommended!

Exceptional cottage in the Berkshire mountains
This cottage was both architecturally interesting and exceptionally well maintained, unlike most of VBRO rental properties. The screened-in porch, king-sided bed, and master bathroom were incredibly comfortable. The host was very personable and helpful. The location was quiet, yet convenient to towns and sites in the Berkshire mountains. Highly recommended as an exceptional property.

Quiet Berkshires Getaway
Beautifully kept, quaint little space - perfect for a relaxing getaway with a small family/friend group or two couples. Very private even though it was in back of the owners' property. The space was thoughtfully arranged and had one of the most in-depth guides to the property and surrounding areas we've ever seen! Nick and Tiffany were great hosts - I would be surprised if they didn't work in hospitality. I would go back.

Great Getaway at The Blue Elm
The Blue Elm was a perfect landing place for exploring the Berkshires for a few days. We were looking
for somewhere peaceful, comfortable, and clean; Nick and Tiffany’s cottage delivered on all accounts. It
was exceptionally clean; we’re the kinds of people who do an extra round of cleaning when checking
into a hotel or rental and it was apparent that the surfaces of this home were legitimately cleaned prior
to our arrival. The screened-in porch was lovely for unwinding and having a snack. The kitchen, though
small, was thoughtfully appointed with the essentials, including properly sharpened knives! Thoughtful
touches throughout, including benches in all the right places, large pump bottles of quality soaps,
shampoos, etc., and plenty of reading material. The welcome binder wasn’t just a generic list of places in
the area, but rather a list of hand-picked favorites complete with the reasons why Nick and Tiffany
included them on the list. This property has the attention and care of someone’s personal home, just
without the shared spaces. All of these details, combined with Nick’s professional attentiveness, helped
make this a great stay.

Fabulous rental
If I could have given it more than 5 stars I would have. Beautiful, quiet area and the place is stunning. The gas fireplace in the dining area was great, has pretty much everything you could need and incredibly stylish (the retro fridge and microwave were very cool). Can’t speak to the pullout but the king in the master might have been the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in and the double shower is awesome. The hosts were friendly and responsive. Went to hike and the number of trails within 30 minutes was great, plus the Cinema 18 minutes away in Great Barrington came in handy on the day of biblical rain. Could not recommend this property more. I will be back.

peaceful escape with architectural treasures
From booking to check out we had an excellent experience. Nick and Tiffany were attentive and responsive hosts. The house/barn was clean, thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The shower was exceptional, bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The welcome book was filled with helpful information including restaurant recommendations and area activities. We would go back in a heartbeat!
