We had a good time in JAZ Fanara. All people were very friendly and we had a wonderfull holiday. On the beach there is a beautiful reef to snorkel. The room was very beautiful with good beds to sleep in and near to the swimming pool.
Animation team was the best thing in the hotel (special thanks to Alesya 😊) they are so active and lovely and know how to make fun of time, staff was friendly and helpful, had unforgettable time there and looking forward to visit again soon ❤
This was a fantastic trip. Staff were so helpful and good guys. Animation team were so active. Food was very clean and healthy. Taste was wonderful. Beach is one of the best. Cant ask for more. Love it so much. Whenever I decide to go to Sharm, definetly would be Jaz Fanara. Loved it. Cant wait to be back. Met a lot of couples who had been going there for the last 20 years. Food is 24 hours availble
Was an amazing time with this wonderful animation team specially abdo he is the most funniest Egyptian animation guy ever and all of the stuff were very nice we really enjoyed the vacation the food was very nice and the master chef was always checking the food and asks us about our opinion and if need something else
Animation team Abdo was very nice. I like aquagym (seven, seven). Food was nice. Music and dance was very enjoyful. Many fishes and reefs on the beach. This was my second time in this hotel. Come back again.
Jaz Fanara is by some way the best of the 20 hotels I've stayed at in Sharm El Sheikh, which is why I defied the dated UK advice against “all but essential travel by air to or from Sharm el Sheikh” to travel back here – I considered it ESSENTIAL that I came back to Jaz Fanara. This was my 9th visit to Jaz Fanara, and although the hotel was mothballed for a year (re-opening December 2016) many of the staff have returned and it's not lost the atmosphere or experience that keeps me coming back to my “second home”. There are many reasons I choose Jaz Fanara :- The staff here at Jaz Fanara make the stay so enjoyable, they really give 100% effort and many are personal friends. Whether it's the reception staff who handle my requests, the restaurant staff who make mealtimes an enjoyable experience, the chefs who provide hot and tasty meals for “the masses”, the bar personnel who make great cocktails with fresh mint, limes and coconut milk, the recreation staff who ensure the pool and beach areas are spotless, the room staff who ensure a clean, tidy room for your return, the gardening staff that keep the resort so picturesque, the list goes on and on... The snorkelling from Jaz Fanara is one of the best in Sharm El Sheikh with many dive boats coming into the bay to dive at “Temple” (Coral pillars rising from the reef floor). The water immediately in front of the hotel is shallow and sandy so it's possible to walk into the water and start snorkelling and swim through a channel in the bouys to the deeper coral reef and Temple. The food at Jaz Fanara is of a very high standard, in fact higher than a 5* hotel I stayed at recently. There's plenty of choice of salad and fresh vegetables, soups (usually two type per mealtime), at least two types of meat and one fish dish per mealtime and numerous cakes, pastries and Oriental desserts. See photos. The cocktails are by far the best I've tasted in Sharm El Sheikh and it's great to see Wagih has returned to the hotel as he makes the best Caipirinha and runs a very neat and tidy bar. The rooms are of a high standard, modern décor with fridge, TV, desk and air-conditioning that may want you reaching for the duvet in the cupboard. I like it at Jaz Fanara so much I've booked again for a week in July. Finally a big thanks to all the staff at Jaz Fanara, sorry if I have forgotten to include anyone, see me in July :) :- Front Desk – Hany, Ahmed and all the others I ought to know better. Main Restaurant – Mohamed Omer, Robbie, Mohamed (Tyson), Fatima, Hossam, Mohamed Matter, Ahmed Tika, Tamer, Mahmoud. Lobby Bar – Wagih, Islam, Mohamed Raslen, Taha Pool Bar – Mohamed Ashour, Medhat, Mohamed Koza, Tarik Recreation – Ahmed Ghatass, Mohamed Eid, Mohamed.. Guest relations – Viktoria and Veronika. And the entire management team who are constantly busy striving to make this hotel the best in Sharm El Sheikh.
Over all we enjoyed our 10 days here and made a good choice but i believe some staff training is needed before i would give this hotel 5 stars. Upon arrival, we booked a king bed with balcony, we were given a twin with a terrace. We asked to be moved to the room we booked and were told, come back at 12pm, we came back then we were told, come back at 4pm, we called again at 4pm and were told the room was still not ready, we asked to speak with a Manager and low and behold we got our room within a few minutes. The staff could have given us the correct room to start with, saving us the hassle. The room itself was nice and comfortable. No issues with cleanliness, but we had an issue trying to get an iron. We called and were told it would be 10 mins. Waited for 30 mins and called back, again told it would be right there. After around an hour we had to call again and finally we were brought an iron, but no board, we were told to use the table top! the iron then did not work, i had to hold the button to high for the light to come on, i was afraid i would get a shock from it, so we called the Manager. An apology was given, and they took out clothes to iron free of charge, but again, if they just told us, we are trying to locate an iron for you instead of leaving us for almost an hour wondering what was going on. The restaurant and food we cannot fault, there was plenty of selection and it was all very fresh and hot. Chef even made me a special dessert that i love, it was a really nice touch and made us feel special. The staff working in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner were fantastic, all are very friendly, very efficient and an absolute credit to the hotel. The Temple bar staff were not quite as efficient, we ordered a coffee on an afternoon, there was no one else around yet they still managed to forgot all about us. Again, apologies were given, but it could have been avoided if they just paid attention to who is around. Maybe some training is needed here. The beach area is fantastic too, wonderful coral and very peaceful and clean. It also has the best view ever! Health club staff also need more training! we booked a full spa experience costing around 700 EgP, they told me to come at 3pm i again confirmed i wanted everything! When i came they told me to just use what was free, the steam room and jucuzzi! I thought they were meant to upsell! Again someone did come and apologies but by this time i didn't want any more apologies i just wanted them to get the service right! Wi Fi was utterly rubbish. its not available in your room, only in the lobby area. So even then i couldn't connect, the receptionist told me to connect to the hotel across the roads internet! Not good enough in this day and age, free high speed wi fi is expected! Its available in coffee shops in Naama Bay for free!! One more point, it would have been nice to have more of a seafood selection. Even one night per week dedicated to seafood as that was something i thought we would have had. We went to a few fish restaurants in the old market but to be honest they did not look fresh at all so we avoided it. I do have to say the Baba Ganoush was the best i have ever had in my life :) STOP APOLOGISING - JUST GET IT RIGHT FIRST TIME
