The lobby of this hotel is garish and tacky, in my opinion. The service was OK, although the staff often did not speak English well. Some of the lights in my room didn't work. The AC pumped out cool, damp air.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 5 years. Beautiful facilities in walking distance from the Bund. Made reservations via Orbitz for 4 rooms with King-size beds for myself and 3 business guests, All 4 of us received small twin rooms with hard beds, my room with a horrible view of the roof between buildings. When I phoned the front desk they blamed this on my travel agent - Not the customer service you would expect from a Westin!

This was a great hotel in an ideal location. Would highly recommend.

Much nicer than we expected, good value, very nice staff, good breakfast buffet but expensive. Staff was excellent especially getting taxis, helping with reservations, anything. The location is a bit of a walk from the Bund and subways but not bad.

The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast is excellent beyond my expectation. However, the front desk staff do not meet my expectation at the Westin level. They are not very friendly.

1. I couldn't find small spoons for yogurt. When i asked, one of hotel male staff brought to me a dirty one. Starting the next morning, they put small spoons on all tables. 2. The same morning, there was a local airplane pilot smoking in a lobby toilet. 3. Staffs don't smile at all when they serve meals or assist customers. Hope this is not a local culture. 4. Had to wait for glasses for juice for about 5 min. Frustrating. 5. They need to UNDERSTAND WHAT SERVICE MEANS because i paid for it. 4.

After being pampered and spoiled at another 5 stars hotel in Beijing, this Westin hotel did not meet our expectations. The room was small, the carpet was old... The location was great. One thing that bothered us was that the staff would only recommend certain restaurants and tour company (seems like we could not use any other company that was not recommended by the staff). Another costumer was complaining about the same issue. When asked about another tour (that we saw in the streets) the staff would just reply that it didn't exist (did they think we were "dumb"?)

Modern amenities and full-service staff. Gym is adequate and well-maintained.

The Westin Shanghai's Sunday brunch is unmissable. Sponsored by Veuve Cliquot, there is unlimited champagne, caviar etc. The gym facilities are pretty good (although the machines aren't very new), and the rooms are very comfortable. Service is fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Attentive staff, free wi-fi throughout, and great design/decor. Would definitely recommend for the business traveler. I had a 1 bedroom suite which was a nice way to escape from the desk. Luxurious bathroom with toothbrushes and toothpaste and complimentary bottled water--love that!

Westin Bund Center Shanhai is an outstanding hotel. Staff was very friendly and ready to support any request or information. Well located and close to some shopping areas. It was about 30 min away from airport. Unfortunately due to my limited time, I was not able to take full advantage of their services. Highly recommend to use this place and consider to have enough time to enjoy it.

Great loction. Fitness center well done, all equipment had its own TV, Buffet breakfast was terrific, croissants were delicious.

SPA is OK they have 50% off You can take a brake from the china cosine they have allot of European restaurants

Loved the Hotel and the location. We tried every restaurant and the food was excellent as well as the service.

The location of the hotel was optimal. Easy walking distance to restaurants & shopping centers.

The hotel was very clean and the service was exceptional. Short walk to the historic Bund waterfront. Construction on the waterfont did not allow us to view the river though. We stayed in a suite which was very large and clean.

did not meet expectations
