The hotel has a fabulous location for the business I was doing. Staff tries very hard to please. Guest rooms are getting "worn" and things like missing bathroom grout, thin towels are apparent. Have stayed here multiple times over the past 4 years. Will come back again simply because of location and the caring staff.
We stayed here with a large group with varying needs and everything was clean and well taken care of. All the staff was attentive and helpful. Would recommend to anyone considering a well maintained but older Marriott property. Beds are super comfortable!
Just spent 5 nights in this fine hotel. Well located on the famous Nanjing Road, the hotel is a pleasure to come back to after a long day of touring. The room was spacious, modern and clean (room service twice a day), the large double bed was very comfortable, great sheets and towels. The bathroom was bright with a separate shower and bath. Great views from the 34th floor. Free WIFI. Shops, restaurants and supermarket in Hotel complex. Breakfast had a vast selection. Well worth it. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Highly recommended.
Came to Shanghai to watch a footy match and stayed for five days. The Portman restaurant puts on a lavish breakfast which would be pretty hard to beat on any level. Rooms are spacious, clean with top class bathrooms done out in marble and glass. Lots of boutique shops at ground floor level. It’s centrally located on West Nanjing road with a short walk to the metro to work off some of that breakfast. Highly recommend this place.
Arrived mid morning so of course our room wasn't ready but staff were really helpful and stored our luggage so we could have breakfast and a walk to a nearby temple before returning around lunchtime when staff had ensured our rooms were available. The rooms were excellent with a spacious bathroom and very comfortable beds. Only ate breakfasts here but the range and quality was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. The location is close to some very swanky International shops but it wasn't expensive to get a taxi to the Bund to enjoy the night lights. Was very happy with our stay here.
I have been to this hotel many times and always enjoy the best service.I stay in the executive floor and still can see the familiar face,Angel, Ivy and Angus. They arrange the nice room for me and help me to book the restaurant also car service. They tried their best to ensure the comfort of my stay. It is worth to back here!
The service is great The infrastructure, food, and location are excellent It is one the best hotels I have ever been All the employees are so kind, Maggie, Audrey, Luna, and Jim It is worth to stay there
Stayed here for a business trip (two month stay) and was treated to a small room with the worst views. Asked for a better room and got the run around despite spending a significant amount of money for the stay. Building and furnishings are very dated and in need of a refresh. Breakfast is decent but internet is terrible, hard and frustrating to get any work done without many drops in service. All in all a bad stay...
Each time I stay here the service gets better and better. From reception to the bar staff to room service staff they always incredible cheerful, helpful and professional. I would like to single out. Linda and Sara from the house bar downstairs. They are ambassadors for the hotel. I had customers with me for a meeting they took the time to make you and your guests feel welcome and at home. Some of the best service I have had in Shanghai. Well done Portman Ritz on some great team work.
This is a amazing bar which I came to shanghai for my first night. Which the most impressed me is the bar manager Linda. She is very helpful and introduce me the history of shanghai and suggest the nice restaurant to invite my clients . Also her staffs are trained very well . I will definitely come back to here and recommend to my clients.
