Swissotel Grand Shanghai

5.0 out of 5.0

Lots of food to eat in this area。Several large shopping mall close by。 Subway conveniently located can get to many tourist attractions。

I try out different hotels around the city and for Christmas we wanted to be downtown. So, I opted for the Swissotel since what can go wrong, it has the Swiss theme behind it and maybe the quality is better than the other Chinese hotels... boy was I wrong. The moment you walk into the hotel, it looks completely Chinese. From the massive jade stone with the weird green light shadowing it at the reception to the musty, outdated Chinese quality rooms. The bed was hard and the all four pillows on the bed were deflated. It was just not worth the $180 bucks we paid to be at the hotel for just one night. One great quality is that it's located downtown. It was so bad that we didn't even stay the entire morning to try out the food, we just quickly left, had brunch else where and headed back home.... talk about a staycation get-away.....

The entire stay was amazing! I usually have pretty high expectations for luxury hotels, and this one definitely met all and exceeded my expectations. The location is also in a very convenient place. 5 stars all around!

I liked everything about the hotel, the room was nice, the decor is great, the breakfast was good, and the spa was very nice.

Excellent hotel and location. Rooms are smallish but very nice and new. View from 18th floor is excellent. I'd give it a 5, but my coffee maker didn't work and the TV buttons did completely random things when you pushed them. But there's a Starbucks around the corner and you need to get out, not watch TV.

Very good Hotel. A little far from restaurants/bars

Went to Shanghai for a week long business trip and had the pleasure of staying here. The rooms were nice and clean with plenty of quick food options around the hotel in the shopping mall food courts. It's close to most city center activities. Good stay!

Excellent stay, convenient for business. Will return.

Nice hotel, conveniently in the center of the Jing An area. Lively outside, but the room is still nice and quiet at night.

Very good hotel by western standards and superb by Chinese. Location is a short cab ride to most if what you will want to see and do in Shanghai. Nice place to sleep and operate from in Shanghai, but certainly not a resort. Not much to do on the property.

This hotel is located just one block away from the Jing An temple. There is a department store and a shopping mall just steps away. Lots of restaurants. Next to the subway too. Cant get any better.

This is a premium quality hotel with a great location. Just a few minutes from Jing An temple, next door to two great department stores and food courts. Steps to the subway. The location can't be beat. The hotel lives up to your expectations.

i loved everything about this hotel. it was very clean, great location. the only down side is the internet charges. approx 20 USD per day.

My experience in this hotel is quite comfortable and the staff of the hotel is quite intelligent when they found my Eleva membership of the hotel to upgrade my room to next level.

- visiting families. - No, didn't enough time in room. - excellent stay when compared to my previous trip.

The Swisshotel was a perfect property with excellent accomodations and service. The buffet breakfast was exceptional. Very helpful staff. Close to Jing An Temple although a little difficult to locate because there is subtle signage. Excellent experience for the cost.
