You can choose to go for Western or Chinese breakfast at different restaurants. Western breakfast at the same tower A as we stay, 22 floor, quiet & cosy but limited food choices. For Chinese cuisine, need to walk 2 min via 2nd floor to another tower, much bigger Chinese setting restaurant, average food.
Stayed here for three nights and found the hotel to be dated, dim, and not worth the price. Breakfast was downright awful. Hotel is spilt into building A and B. Short walking distance from Starbucks and Mac Donald’s and a 15 min walk will take you to a stretch of local food and China Mobile. Would probably suit Long term stayers as it has free shuttle through the hi tech park and is walking distance from the line 12 train station.
Please make sure to ask for Hotel Ramada Plaza A when you book your hotel room! Don't be fooled by the advert thinking that The Ramada Hotel actually looks like the one on web. Plaza B need a renovation and the room is really dark!
Smoking is now banned however guests still smoke in their rooms and it comes through the shower vents to yours. Management did nothing once advised, saying it wad too early to disturb the guest. What about me being disturbed ? If they are smoking they are awake. Do something about it!
Stayed for a week at this hotel due to its proximity to a meeting I would be attending. The property is fine and well maintained, but the location is its main weakness. There’s nothing close by. The Japanese restaurant is pretty good, but the English spoken is pretty limited, which made for a challenge. Breakfast is just adequate. The western options are ok. Bacon is mostly uncooked. Bummer. It is very difficult to get a taxi from this this hotel. The staff will call one for you, but it can take a long time, especially if it’s raining. For me, the biggest issue was that I could not adjust the temperature in the room. It ranged between 25 and 27C. For me, it’s just too hot. I need 23 or less to be comfortable. When I told them at the front desk, I got an indifferent response at best. They told me that it was 20C outside. Too bad the window only opened 2”. It doesn’t matter what the outside temp is if it’s 27 in your room. Energy savings aside, a hotel room is my home away from home and I want to be able to keep it comfortable, not at a pre-determined level by management.
Staying regularly at the Ramada Plaza Caohejing for business, What a warmth hotel here! When I have not yet entered the hotel, there is a porter to help take luggage, and gave me a cup of cool tea (although I do not know what tea), also for the receptionist give me a warm feeling and always smile to assist me check in procedure. And let me be happy that all the internal areas of the hotel are non-smoking according to the receptionist's notice. For the end of the check-in also came out of the counter to send me to the elevator During a pleasant stay, I really like the hotel's executive lounge environment, not a big place, but the environment elegant and quiet, full of privacy, Breakfast is not very rich, but like the atmosphere at home for western and Chinese cuisines. every staff is smiling and polite in the hotel. overall, it was a pleasant stay experience, it's like my second home, Ramada, wait for me to come back.
This hotel is in the middle of a business/technology park area. There are ZERO restaurants in the area, other than the ones at the hotel. The All Day Dining option at the hotel had breakfast which was lukewarm at best, and good, but empty at dinner time. The hotel is split into 2 buildings. When I checked in, I was told I had to go back outside (at 10:00 PM) to find the other building but there is no outside signage to point the way. The room was small and smelled like it had been smoked in 10 years ago, the carpet was stained, the grout in the shower was moldy, and the lighting in the bathroom was not bright enough. My colleague and I ended up checking out early and switching to a nicer hotel closer to downtown Shanghai. I expected much more from a Ramada, very disappointed.
My first time staying here as we are having a business workshop in the hotel. Check-in after midnight but process was smooth. Room is big and decent in China standard. Breakfast spread was decent. The only downside is that the hotel concierge could not help to get a taxi for us and asked us to go to the road side to hail one. This is very surprising for a 4* hotel. Stayed 2 nights here and overall nothing much to shout about.
the location is situated in a commercial area which is very quiet at night. but the service is good including the man who lead my way to my room. The Japanese restaurant is also a good choice if you don't have time to eat outside. The funniest thing in this hotel is i travel alone but i gave me a room with twp single beds. LOL
