Park Hyatt Shanghai5.0 out of 5.0

There was a strong odor in the room. It took hours to get someone to take care of it. Cost me to lose hours of sleep. And the odor was not completely gone. When I asked for change to another room, without checking their system they hastily told me no more rooms after I have said I'm will to pay the difference if there are higher valued rooms. It was my first time at the hotel. It was very unpleasant for me. However, the check in and out was very speedy and smooth.
As with most high end hotels offered by Hyatt, Park Hyatt Shanghai doesn't fail to impress...primarily following the trend of extremely well hidden entrances. Located in one of the 3 skyscrapers of Shanghai in the Pudong District, the hotel boasted a very well kept, and classical yet professional look in its reception/concierge floor. I arrived early, but luckily for me the hotel had my room already prepared so I was able to enter my room by 11 AM. Inside the room, very low key signs (minor suitcase scratches on the wall, etc) that the rooms have aged very well for one that opened almost a decade ago (it opened in 2008, I think). The view outside from the room's ground to ceiling glass window was pretty damn impressive regardless of the weather conditions (Shine, rain, cloudy, foggy, polluted). To add an additional personalised touch, each room was greeted with a pre-printed personalised letter from management welcoming you to the hotel. The bathroom definitely is one place you wouldn't want to miss out on using, with ceiling high rain shower heads, and a bathtub accompanying it. It becomes obvious that the rooms were designed for couples with the his & hers dual sink with a TV build in between (because who wants to miss the TV while brushing up?). Overall service was exceptionally topnotch as room service & house keeping were able to respond to my requests well within 15 minutes of the call. Additional services provided were the pool & gym, of which the pool is definitely a good place to go and relax during day/night. In conclusion: If you're here to see the sights of Shanghai only, and not spend time in a hotel, this is not the place for you. HOWEVER, if you're in Shanghai to do some sightseeing, and come back to a hotel (away from the chaos and noise) which can provide you with all the things you need to relax after a day of walking or biking, Park Hyatt Shanghai is definitely a place I would strongly recommend.
The Park Hyatt Shanghai is an excellent hotel for business and leisure on account of its location, facilities, and service. I recently stayed there for a week and hosted a seminar in their conference rooms. Being perched high above the city on the 86th floor, the hotel offers spectacular views of the city at every turn. The hotel amenities, including the gym, spa, restaurant, and pool, are world class. Finally, the service was consistently outstanding. The Park Hyatt Shanghai provides an exceptional experience for both business and leisure.
We stayed at a room on the 80th floor with sweeping views of the Bund without any people crowding around you and the Grand Hyatt. Our reservation was assisted by one of the managers of the hotel prior. It was a very modern and spacious hotel to begin with especially our room which the furnitures was well spaced out. Bathroom especially the bathtub has private views of the bund where you are able to soak in it while gazing the view. The concierge were extremely helpul especially Andy in our restaurant reservations prior and during our stay. loved the daybed beside our bed which was nice to chill out while watching tv or listening to music. Only that i found the room a little dimmed My only drawback was that it takes a couple of minutes of walk outside to the nearest metro and IFC, especially if its raining there is no underground linking to the malls. Am definitely looking forward to stay in September
The staff was amazing! They treated us as family and helped us with everything. It made our trip a trip to remember . The swimming pool was amazing. The view from our room was absolutely amazing. I'd like to come again.
We stayed for a week whilst on holiday in Shanghai. Room on the 81st Floor. Spectacular views over the bund dawn, day and sunset. Plenty of shopping centres to walk to around the hotel - but non shopping experiences all on other side of the river. But that didn't stop us doing anything - taxis are easy and cheap. The pool and restaurants were all top notch. And the staff were all as helpful as good be.
Great hotel , great location , amazing food big room nice bathroom We were on the 74th floor was nice to look down but I am afraid of high , if you love nice views then it's perfect , the hotel very new built when we were there so everything was great love the location and great service , beautiful food inside the hotel ! Overall great hotel to stay ❤️❤️
Park Hyatt, Shanghai is an extremely modern hotel. The rooms and the hotel decor is very luxurious. I was a Hyatt diamond when I visited and the view I got from room was absolutely breathtaking. The view from the restaurant where breakfast was served was stunning but the breakfast itself was just average and nothing to write about. The service at the hotel was again average, not something you would expect from a Park Hyatt. I would stay again at the Park Hyatt but only for the quality of rooms and the amazing view.
This hotel is pretty special. I had been told by some serious business travellers that they consider this hotel world class. I had high expectations that were met, but not exceeded. The views are awesome. There are not too many hotels that are this high up. Breakfast on level 91 is a once in a lifetime experience. Getting up to your room can take a while because there are several lift blocks to navigate. I found the rooms nice, but a little dark for my liking. All the amenities you would expect of a 5 star executive property. The service was good, but not memorable. I had better at the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai. I would recommend this hotel. It is quite iconic and well worth considering.
Love the hotel, the room was nicely decorated both in style and functionality. The only downside is the small gym - machines and free weights are well equipped, however there is hardly any space for stretching and floor work, without spilling over to the pool area which is a shame.
