No hot water or heat in room. Terrible Chinese restaurant in hotel. Otherwise, attractive property.
When We arrived the room was Clean and at the front there were kind staff and nice facilities
View on the city is really nice for which it's worth the stay. The neighbourhood is extremely boring and underdeveloped comparing other sides of Shanghai.
I highly recommend this Hotel. has a great location in the Financial area of Shanghai. They have a buffet that is available with your Hotel Booking for quests (Breakfast Buffet) when you make a reservation. I thought I was getting Two Buffets per Day since I stayed for two nights with 2 people in the room - The Hotel stated that the Hotel included Buffet only included one buffet per room which was misleading and very disappointing since I booked the Hotel based on it including WiFi in the room which it did and the location and the Room with Buffets in the morning. Stayed on 32nd Floor with fantastic view of the city. Hotel had smoking and non smoking floors in the Hotel. Overall GREAT Hotel ~ Hotel Staff very polite and they spoke English. Hotel has Five Restaurants serving a wide range of Food.
The hotel was close to my business meetings. The breakfast was nice. I could go to nice restaurants around the area easily. Besides the restaurant on the terrace was really nice.
I booked this hotel expecting it to be at the center of the Pudong business district. It was not. The Novotel website map of the location is outright deceitful: http://www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-3019-novotel-shanghai-atlantis/location.shtml[...].Lesson learned, will do more research before booking lesser known hotels.I was there on business so room furnishings were not important. The rooms were ok, albeit most furniture looked aged. The only issue was the showerhead which was small and did not stay in place.Service was curt, but always got things done correctly. I arrived at 3PM but was told no room was available even though check in was 12PM. Only after requesting a quiet area with internet, (I had an online meeting to attend), did they give me a room that was previously unavailable.
This is an excellent hotel for businness trips, a very nice building (50 floor) and have all the facilities that you may need like any other international hotel, you will no find other option with a good price like 120 USD per nigth. The location is good at 10 mins of downtown in a nice area of Pudong. Internet Free in all rooms and public areas. The moorning bufette has all international and local meals. Taxis and any other service are outside and the conceirge people are kindly with the tourists. Other options in the financial area are at 300-400 USD night. Of course we will return to this hotel. We saw other options like hollyday inn and these are in downtown but to many traffic and people in the outside streets.
