The restaurant, for breakfast may be OK but for dinner is a waste of time and money, drunk people, kids running around, food so very limited and quality no good.

This is the second time (August 2010, and July 2011) that I've stayed at this hotel while in Shanghai for business. It is about a 20 minute taxi ride to my office (45 minutes from the Pudong Airport). The location of the hotel is safe - never felt threatened walking around at night. There are a couple Starbucks within walking distance, and a Best Buy, McDonalds, KFC, and ATM (cash) all right across the street. The hotel itself is beautiful. Staff is extremely friendly. Rooms are very clean and tidey. Bathrooms are great. In-room wired internet available for a charge. Large LCD TV in the rooms too. In-hotel restaurant has a decent selection for breakfast and dinner. The bed mattresses though are stiff. Exercise/Gym room is OK, not the best. Didn't try the pool or spa yet. Make sure you request a non-smoking floor. Also, I've heard not to drink the tap water anywhere. So make sure you only drink the complimentary bottled water, even for brushing your teeth. The shower is great - nice and hot, and excellent pressure. Rooms are quiet too. Can barely hear anything outdoors or other rooms. If you are in the area of this hotel for business/pleasure, I highly recommend it.
