I am yet to stay in another hotel is Shanghai. Royal Le meridian is just outstanding in many ways and never disappointed in any aspects. With the RMB strengthening, its become slightly more expensive in $ terms, but still good value. The location is just the best. Good rooms, comfortable bed, staff are very helpful. What a spread for breakfast!
i am a regular client in this hotel all i can tell you , that the staff remembers you if you just say , hi , and smile to them they are extremely nice and to make me feel like a very important returning guest if you are lucky and get a room above the 40th floor , try a view of pudong , it is breath taking
Luxury hotel but not well maintained so rooms are getting old and worn out. Service is ok - very standard. Kind of annoying that you need to take 2 elevators to get to your room. For about the same price I prefer staying at the Yangtze Boutique hotel which is just about 2 blocks away and closer to local restaurants.
I came back to Shanghai for 1 week and stayed again in same great hotel Le Royal Meridien, rooms are great, location, if you like center of the city, very convenient. Vickie, Natalie and Kelly from Executive Lounge make me feel like i am almost home, always welcome me with great smile and ready to help with anything. i highly recommend this hotel again and if you plan to visit make sure that you have a access to Executive Lounge.
Happy with the service of the hotel, from check in to check out, especially the service at the executive lounge. This is a great place to hang out after a busy day of meetings. The location is super convenient.
I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. Breakfast was sumptuous and the bedroom was bigger than other hotels and the bed very comfortable. The service was exceptional. In particular thanks to the GM Ben for such a warm welcome. I will be booking with you again for my team and I. Thank you.
I was really pleased with his support contacting the Taxi company to help get my luggage back that i had forgotten in the boot and had a flight to catch in 2 hours!! He was very proactive and understanding and helped in the bestbway possible
Good location if you want to reach shopping and central Shanghai. The view is fair, but not as good as at hotels at the Bund. crowded area but calm once reaching the lobby. The lounge is ok and the rooms fine. Didn't check the top floor club but looked ok
I came back for a 6 day business trip and was not disappointed. I chose a junior suite with executive lounge privileges to have a little elbow room to work as well as a place to eat and relax. I keep hearing the hotel is getting older (it's only 11 years new) but the room was in great shape as well as the service. I was fortunate enough to have made acquaintance with hotel manager years ago (who is now the GM) and somehow remembers me when I return and greets me like an old valued guest. I have now met Sadettin, the present hotel manager and hope to have a similar relationship. The executive lounge, while large makes you feel as a valued guest and goes out of their way to help you. The room was not ready when I checked, I left my luggage to go out for a walk and upon my return I was given my room key and found all my luggage already in the room. Kudos to Vicki in the executive lounge who somehow manages to remember guests and their names even when they don;t come that often. She goes out of her way to assist and even offered to give me here metro card so I would not have to struggle buying one for a single trip. I hear they are starting a renovation and will continue to come back and recommend.
I am staying here for 4 nights. Overall is a nice hotel, waited for a while to check in at 22:00 and need to change elevator to get to your room. Nice city views and comfortable room, A bit dry in the room so I asked for a humidifier. It’s quick to deliver to my room however it’s not working when housekeeping setup for me. She came again to set up so it’s still ok. Room is cleaned but no turn down service. They also leave a note after clean the room which is nice touch. It’s value for money. Close to metro and shopping mall.
