I have been to most upscale / luxury hotels in Shanghai and think this is the best in terms of views, facilities and services. I stayed 1 month and the hotel is great for both; business as well as leisure. I will come again.
First time in Shanghai and was blown away by its vastness. Rooms start on the 39th floor and go up to I believe roughly 60th floor. Service was great. Great location. The only potential complaint I would have was at the mattresses were hard.
JW Marriott hotel Shanghai, has the best locations, very convenient and close to the subway people square stop. The hotel has an incredible views. Incredible location. Very cool atmosphere. Staff very friendly. The executive lounge serves great food and the evening cocktails was a very high standard. This is one of the great experience in Shanghai, highly recommended!
An expensive hotel but worth its price. Great location (People Square...), nice and quiet rooms (not so simple in People Square...). All the services worked perfectly. Breakfast very good (but not great) View of Shanghai from Bar/Reception floor is great
The front desk service is very efficient. I was able to upgrade my room with a discounted rate before my actual day of check-in. They really anticipate your needs. All these requests were communicated via e-mail. Upon arrival, front-desk was able to implement all these flawlessly. Restaurant service was efficient and professional. Executive lounge service was very very good. The room is very clean and well-maintained. However, since the hotel was completed in 2003, the design looks like it obviously came from 2003. Needs a makeover perhaps? The bed was also a bit soggy and was probably past its useful age. The doormen were something else. Our doorman (shortish guy with glasses) got us a taxi by going into the rain and begging the choosy driver to accept us as passengers. That was something else. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service.
I recently stayed at the JW Marriott at Tomorrow Square in Shanghai. This is my second time staying here and it did not disappoint, the rooms are spacious and service is what you have come to expect from a JW Marriott. Excellent service by the concierge arranging transportation, great job going above and beyond.
Room was great. Beautiful view of the Bund. At 50+ stories high. Clean, Very good shower, Nice large screen display, Nespresso Coffee machine. Fitness room was good, and fitness room team were helpful. I was on business and had executive lounge access at the 59th floor - highly recommended. Excellent day and night views almost panoramic. Very friendly staff upstairs who took time to recognize me and know what I like. Taxi help at the front door were very helpful. GOOD JOB. I come to Shanghai once every 3 months and have been staying at different hotels each time to try and see who’s the best. JW Marriott at Tomorrow Square is my top 3 so far. Areas to improve : - Wifi is spotty in some areas of the building. - Wifi in room was good, Wifi up in the lounge is good. - Wifi in the Ball room Level 5 area was weak or not reliable when I used it. - Security staff can learn to smile more (black suited larger men in the lobby of 38 floor) - Fitness gym equipment, many elliptical and bicycle TV was not working, and remotes battery seemed dead.
It’s not the first time for me to stay with JWM at Tomorrow Square, it’s service standard in details always remind me of what a JWM hotel should be, it is truly a JWM. As a ambassador member, I was upgraded to a suite room again, it makes my loyalty feel immediately valued.
I was only here for an evening but will definitely stay here again when back in ShangHai. The hotel feels new, it's very open and fresh. My room was very clean and comfortable. The property is also within walking distance of Xin Tian Di as well as a number of other fun shopping malls, restaurants and bars. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Just know that they lobby is on the 38th floor. You need to take an elevator up to the main level and then from there you find the guest elevator bank to take you to the guest floors.
Great location, food and hotel. the only negative is the size of the hotel and the number of escalators you have to take to go to the pool & gym. Rated were also great, maybe it was a low season. will come back
