I stayed in this hotel couple of times in the past few months. I think, this is the Best Executive Hotel in this area. Hyatt House is also next door for long term guests. Hyatt Place & Hyatt House almost like a new brand from Hyatt. New concept. New property. There is a long and huge lobby lounge connected Hyatt House with Hyatt Place, equipped with everything you can imagine for an executive. Workstation, mini bar, large tv screen, comfortable couches and also a Game Room and a Movie Room in the Hyatt House for kids and big kids. Only one all day dining restraurant in this property. I just had a chinese lunch few minutes ago, a semi buffet without a main course. Good lunch. I used the gym and the swimming pool. It was private, quiet and superclean. Locker room is little small. but no big deal. I like the rooms. Top quality and comfortable. Hyatt Place has a Conference Floor (Floor 2) with several meeting rooms of all sizes. There is a large underground ballroom for big events. Service is excellent. They are all very young hardworking hospitality workforce from all over China. Super nice people except the midnight security guy. Possibly, he is from an outside security agency, who likes to have an empty lounge after midnight, so that he can sleep in the comfortable couches.

a good business hotel near Hongqiao station. hotel has room service robot which is unique. the breakfast spread was good with lot of continental options. They have shuttle service for Hongqiao airport and station.

I have stayed here twice now. Whether you are coming from the airport or train station very easy to get too. Taxi from the station 32RMB. The hotel is very modern, with good size rooms. Very friendly staff, who speak English. Breakfast is adequate. The restaurant is okay, but with so many restaurants within walking distance, go out for the night. Overall a good hotel in a great location. I will return next year for sure.

My significant other decided we had to go to shanghai during Chinese National week. On the last leg of the trip she booked us for three nights at the Hyatt Place CBD. Finding the hotel wasn’t too difficult. We had an idea by looking at maps and she asked a lady at a desk in the Railway Station how to get here. The lady said take exit D and follow the skyway through The Hub. You can see the hotel from the skyway so it wasn’t too bad going down through the shopping mall to the ground floor and finding it. Check it was smooth. Thanks to a friendly employee named Rainy who helped us check in quickly and even gave me two tokens and some soap to use the wash machine and dryer. The room we had was on the ninth floor. Nice size room. Two comfy beds. Each bed had two pillows. Soft. Room had a safe. Fridge. Some tea bags. Sofa that appeared to fold out to a bed. Coffee table. Ample lighting. Good view. Blackout curtains. Wardrobe for hanging clothes. Iron and board. Also gave us two bottles of Nong Fu Springs water. I don’t like the taste of it but a quick trip to the FamilyMart get us better tasting water. Bathroom had a combo tub shower. Scale. Hairdryer. Some soap and shampoo and conditioner and body lotion. Housekeeping does a good job of cleaning. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and included in the rate. Decent variety of foods offered and replenishment was quick as was table clearing. We used the pool and gym. Pool was around 85 F. Okay with that. Note: you need a hair cap to swim. Also note because of a new Shanghai law the hotel doesn’t give you amenities- you need to ask at the front desk for a toothbrush or razor or a lufa scrubber. Close by are several malls that are pretty good for shopping and food. The Hub and Paradise Walk. Also fast food options. KFC. McDs. BK. Starbucks. Shanghai Subway Line 2 and 10 are close also. You can enter and exit there via The Hub mall. Hotel also has a shuttle bus to the airport and railway station. Overall I like this hotel and will happily stay here again anytime.

I booked through trip.com app and got a good rate. It’s quite new and super clean. Can walk to Hongqiao railway station in about 12 minutes, but probably wouldn’t want to do it with a lot of luggage...free shuttle anyway. Very friendly staff and great breakfast buffet. Nice little gym. Good WiFi. I would definitely stay again.

Room is clean and bed is comfortable, breakfast is good also. Hotel also provides 2 bottles of drinking water every day. We enjoyed our stay. It is just 10 minutes walk from Hongqiao railway station. From the railway station you will need to pass through a footbridge, then get down to ground floor but there is no escalator nor lift, only stairs so if you have a large luggage it is an exercise or you may go through nearby shopping mall “The Hub”.

It is quite some distance from Pudong Airport but very near to Hongqiao Airport, Railway Station & shopping malls. When I reached that day was very late after my flight from Taiwan, luckily check in was fast and easy. After I put my luggage, I quickly rushed off to buy my train tickets from the Hongqiao Railway Station at about 9:30pm. I was so glad that the walk in ticket counter were still open (most of the ticket purchase is through online booking). The walking distance was far, about 15 minutes. It is good service that they did provide hourly bus shuttle service to airport and railway station. Next day, I took their 9am shuttle service and reached railway in 10 minutes to catch my train at 9:50am. Just in time for all the security screening and finding the right gate. Room is spacious and bedding was excellent. Their breakfast spread was good too.

Stayed here for one night before catching up the train. Staff were efficient. The room were nice enough and I enjoyed the pool. Otherwise, the location is very convenient. Couldn't ask for more. The only problem was that the price was not exactly right for a four-star hotel in China -- I used my Hyatt points but for the money, the Cordis nearby would be a competitive option. That said, the Hyatt Place Hongqiao CBD is a solid hotel and I will stay here again.

Stayed in a suite for two days resting after flights from Europe and before taking the fast train north. The hotel has beautiful suites at a reasonable price close to shopping centres, the hongqiao airport and train station. The hotels offers a shuttle to the airport, metro and train station but all are within walking distance. Recommended for any traveller that needs a layover. The suites are luxurious.

This will be my third visit to the Shanghai Hongqiao Hyatt Place. The first arrival was nice, the hotel was near new and despite some service issues with the front desk, the stay was nice. The second visit I felt the hotel dropped a bit in its desire to care for the halls and room carpets. On my most recent visit, I can say the carpets in three rooms were dirty (we booked three rooms) and the furniture as well. Get a carpet cleaner and clean the carpets. Service overall was still good for a Hyatt. The front desk staff was typical, just doing enough to get what you ask done. never really going a step above. But its China, so we accept this. Breakfast is average, I have stayed at other hotels in China that do a great breakfast. Hyatt, good selection, so it filled us up. This place is located in a great spot, near the National Expo Center, and across from the train station. For outside restaurants, there is a mall just down the street.
