The cost of the room was very reasonable and the hotel gym is great. The breakfast was very good. The wireless was spotty, so be sure to bring a connector for the internet in the room. The restaurants are expensive except for breakfast so think about exploring the area. The former French concession area has good food of all sorts and it’s walking distance away.

Excellent stay especially for the price I paid. Has definitely seen its years but the lobby is very well-maintained and food was decently priced and good taste. The room I had was of the older design (I hear they are upgrading the rooms), but it still felt of a good quality and standard, especially the bed is so comfortable! Noticeable wear in the fixtures and furniture, and the bathroom could get an upgrade as well but nothing off-putting really as compared to other local hotel brands which can be a hit and miss. Location is fantastic, short walk to the Jing An metro station and shopping area with everything! You will need to cross an overhead bridge to get to the metro though, so for those with big luggage, it's best to take a taxi to the hotel.

Great location, easy to get to the metro. They area is very western. After staying at the mostly Chinese areas, it is easier from me to stay in the western area. Breakfast was a ok. The pool is big, empty and I enjoyed that. They have a number of restaurants, but then you are into western prices. ;The rooms are great, a little small, but fine. However, the bathroom had this light urine smell. These days I carry lemon oil, so swishing it with water and spilling it around gets rid of any smell. They give you 2 waters everyday. That's nice.

Standard room very comfortable and quiet. Close to many restaurants, Pudong Airport Bus stop and Jing’an Metro station.

Hotel grounds and location is excellent. Only problem is the wifi is useless, as in you can't load a single page. Most of the staff was nice and helpful, although one lady at the front was pretty rude when I was short on cash for a package that needed to be shipped out. I requested the hotel to charge me so I can pay them back after checkout and she was unwillingly and rude. The rest of the staff was great though.

The location is hard to beat, a very short walk to JingAn temple and MRT station. Cross Yanan road towards the temple and you are right in one of the major shopping, business and eating districts with many cheap and high end restaurants. Stay south of Yanan and you have more of a neighborhood feel, with more local shops, cafes, and restaurants. The hotel room is quite comfortable. I had a king size bed for just over US$100, which is a great rate for the JingAn area. Pretty standard size for an international 4 star hotel. The lobby though is pretty average: no high ceilings, pretty lifeless lounge bar. Gym is good for a Chinese hotel and also has indoor pool. Main downside I found was the porters / captain outside never help with taxis. I have stood there several times obviously looking to hail a taxi and no one ever came over to help. Every time I just went to the road and hailed one myself. I once heard the porter say in Chinese to another staff member "I only helped that foreigner get a taxi because he gave me 50 yuan. Otherwise I would ignore him." That kind of attitude and service is a 1 star level, not 4 star. I stayed almost an entire week so this attitude was not just one bad experience. On the other hand, I found the front desk staff very courteous and helpful.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and it's been great both times. It's located within two blocks of the Jing'an Temple and subway station as well as all of the shops on Nanjing Road.

Everything was perfect. The only problem is you have to walk overhead bridge to cross the street. All the bridge escalator are not working so u have to climb the stair.

The Hotel was beautiful and staffs were nice and warm. Location was great. However, this kind of the hotels don't provide air-condition until June except those real 4 or 5 stars hotel. I think it is the China policy. Averagely, China gets very hot from April. So, I will chose a hotel with independent air-conditioning. Check with the Hotel if then turn on the cold air instead the wind.

Love this hotel...location, value, and spa. Have stayed here a few times and have always had a good experience.

Excellent location in Jing An, though hotel is under remodeling. Excellent value for quality. Reception desk is professional but not friendly.
