Location is about 150m from subway. You can take train 7 directly to this hotel from levitating train station, took this route on my way back, but taxi in, paid around RMB 67. The hotel is ok, didn't get offered welcome points when checked, but a beverage voucher instead. check in was speedy. Booked the room without breakfast, so don't know how good is, but for RMB 100+, it's a bit on expensive side.... The room is maintained ok, carpet is clean and nothing in minibar. Everything else is pretty much to IHC standard, except it can upgrade sound proof (two ear buds instead by your bed) and should separate none-smoking floor from smoking floor, I mean you can smell the smoke from your bathroom, sharing the same pipe I guess. Fitness center is basic, just some light workout is ok. Swimming pool likes nice, but didn't get to use it. There is a convenient store on the ground floor, KFC/McDonald all within 100m. Wifi is not too stable, speed is so so. Only one Star movie channel for English movie.
Hi, We have stayed in this hotel during our Business trip to China in early November 2017. The hotel location is just crazy awesome as it's in the heart of Shanghai, major two malls are just 5 minutes walking so nice for daily hang out. It's just few minutes drive away from shanghai hongqiao airport so be ready to see airplane every 5 minutes but its really disturbing. The infrastructure is huge and interiors are good but the room in which we stayed (delux) is just okay and overpriced so better to look some other hotel in this range but I will still say the location is just awesome.
good location, good breakfast and friendly staff, rooms and overall OK, gym can be upgraded, it is a hotel to stay a couple of days, good price value and I will stay again, not the most fancy hotel - but relaxed and convenient!
This hotel is awful. I checked in tonight and the check in was very slow, they charged me y2500 deposit which is more than the cost of the room for two nights! This deposit is too high. My room is supposed to be non-smoking but it smells horrible and you can tell people have been smoking in the room a lot. The whole hotel smells like people are smoking everywhere. It feels very cheap and like a 2 star hotel, not a 4 star hotel. I will never stay here again and will not recommend to colleagues/friends.
Check in was very slow. We arrived around 4pm yet the room is not yet ready. We were asked to wait for 10mins since they are still checking the room if its clean and ready to use. Jerry, the front desk guy explained to us that since it is holiday they have few staff to clean and check the rooms. I had work before in a hotel and during holidays, there should be more staff. Other than this, everything is okay. We still enjoyed our stay here. Lovely pool but old gym equipments. Breakfast is ok.
A very lovely hotel with great location in this huge city of China. The breakfast is absolutely amazing, freshly brewed coffee, deliciously cooked noodles with green vegetables, crepe to order, One of the most amazing breakfast offered in any cities in the world. Room is very quiet and wonderfully set up bathroom to make our stay memorable.
Location was great , concierge team was really helpful she tried to get a taxi for me however no one take the call she was all the way of the hotel stood in the sun and tried to flagged down a taxi for me Appreciate the gesture Internet speed was great
Positives: great English speaking service, large clean rooms, amazing dim sum restaurant, late check out time. Cons: if you check in past mid-night the service drops substantially, the area isn't the most luxurious part of town (10 min walk from subway in some harsh conditions), breakfast buffet is expensive, and they occasionally seem to lose receipts/reservations (just an organizational thing I think). Overall, nice place to stay.
We stayed here for one night in June. It's a bit out of the way from the centre, but the metro is not too far away. It's as you would usually expect from a Holiday Inn, but we had an executive suite which was large and comfortable. Everything was clean and in good condition. The hotel had a convenience store in the main lobby which was handy. We had access to the executive lounge which was pleasant and had a fair selection of food and drink on offer.
Holiday Inn Vista is in a central location just outside the downtown core with easy access by cab or the 2 nearby metro stations. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially their front desk manager Eva who just happens to be one of my International Business students from my tenor in Shanghai several years ago. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights before we flew onto Xiamen to see family and were very impressed with our treatment during our stay. The room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the surrounding area and because we were not right downtown it was considerably quieter. There are a number of shops and restaurants in the area but if you need to get into the heart of Shanghai you are a couple minutes walk to 2 metros and you are downtown in a matter of minutes. We had drinks in the lobby bar one night and watched the people pass on the street outside and relaxed to the sounds from the piano next to the bar. Breakfast was excellent with enough to keep a western traveler satisfied with familiar items albeit a little different from home. Wifi was never an issue as we had a good strong signal during our stay and it was free, pool was nice although we never had time to use it, will try on our next trip. We will be going back again this year and plan on staying there again for a few nights as we catch up with some old friends. Lived in Shanghai for just over a year and when we go back this hotel is always our destination of choice. You have lots of choices but you can't go wrong with the Holiday Inn Vista.
