Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Daning4.0 out of 5.0

I am somewhat new new to the Sheraton Chain, so when my team booked this for me, I was skeptical. Especially when I was being driven to the hotel from the airport, and had to walk a few blocks because of construction. Not a skeptic anymore. The Four Points in Daning is spot on for a great business hotel. The service is spot on. The rooms are a little small, but certainly comfortable and quiet. Breakfast buffet is really good. As a matter of fact, all of the food here was pretty good. This place is really centrally located and there is a ton to do within a block. Great restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, all right across the street. A buzzing social scene after dark all around the hotel. A fast 10 minute walk to the train station for a fast 20 minute train ride to The Bund, and another 10 minute train ride from there to the AP Market and the Science and Technology Museum. Really can't miss with this place. Mid-priced for the area. Certainly not a five star hotel, but you will not be disappointed.
Nice room with friendly service while the check in/out was efficient. Design not as modern as other Sheratons we stayed at but they did a good job with the upkeep. The buffet breakfast had lots of choices (Western and Chinese). We enjoyed out stay.
Right nearby the regional office. The rooms were good, and service was slightly behind Marriott Park view about 5 mins away. I was assigned a room, but as usual, someone was smoking in the room so made immediate u turn and got a new room... the new room was not prepared well, as it had a (not washed) t- shirt in the hanger...strange.
This hotel is clean and very nice - plus the hotel has access to some nicer stores right out the front entrance. But what really made my stay here great was the helpful concierge team. They were attentive and helpful with arrangements for work and free time travel around town. Because they were so easy to work with my stay was a lot of fun!
Ticks all the boxes. Good location, helpful staff, clean rooms, decent gym and food ok. The lobby bar also had some games - we enjoyed jenga as a way of breaking international barriers. I'm sure I'll be back.
Great Hotel and staff is great. I come to Shanghai for business twice a year. I would advise my fellow friends to stay here. The location is ideal and the staff at the eatery is great. Mark the assistant manager is great and very helpful. He always took care of us.
I moved to this hotel from Sofitel Hyland coz my children wanted to swim, so after watching the world circus (only 600 meters away), I decided to stay here. The area is far from everywhere, although they have their own shopping area. The room is average, but dusty. You could see many flying objects when I laid down on the bed. The breakfast was average. You have to pay for wifi. But the most ridiculous think was that my children were not allowed to swim without swimming (head) caps. So I have to buy them first. The cost for a cap is about 25 US dollars (just multiply by 4). Honestly this was my first experience finding hotels with such silly swimming regulation. Moreover, when I asked the reception, he just easily said : "well, you can just buy them in the mall if they are too expensive in the hotels". Hmm, will never go back to this hotel.
Nice, newer hotel, well equipped. Very clean, free WiFi with Sheraton membership. Quiet, nicely furnished rooms, AC seemed to have a mind of its own, so turned it off. Excellent free breakfast. Would stay here again.
The room was clean and nicely furnished but quite small. The hotel restaurant/breakfast buffet was sufficient but really not where you would want to have dinner. The location, although well outside the city center, had a lot of restaurant choices as well as pubs and shopping all within walking distance. The services were spotty-they had a currency exchange but no one was able to help me. Fortunately there were ATMs within walking distance. OK for a short stay.
I stayed nearly 90 days in the Four Point Daning and liked the service orientation. Mirko, Amber, Katherine and Cindy have been always paying attention to my needs. Yvonne as hotel director was always taking care that my needs were taken are off. I would recommend to stay there.
