The hotel is obviously past it's glory days, the carpets in the hallways and my room were grubby if not downright dirty. Staff is friendly and try their best and the breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide variety in choice of fruits, sereals, bread, sweets, savouries and decent coffee. Downside of the hotel is the indoor pool in the spa area plus that there is nowhere to sit outside exept for on the steps of the reception area. I was supposed to stay at this hotel for a total of 24 days but after 10 I had enough. The reason was that one particular staffmember appoached me mentioning that he liked the content of the minibar in my room, the next day he asked me if I wanted a nice Tunisian lady for the night. I mentioned this to my host who immediately decided to transfer to another hotel in Sfax
Was probably a good hotel 10 years ago. Several problems, no water in the room repaired after 30 mn, wifi not working, some leak on a closet. Overall poor quality of bed and room equipment, poor service at breakfast. Room was very large and location in center of town convenient.
Breakfast had an omelet station View from room was excellent, out over the harbor. You can also get a harbor view from the rooftop restaurant. Bar in basement was good. Room comfortable. Staff excellent. Note not for the handicapped -- entrance has only stairs, no ramp, and inside I used the stairs after I learned the only elevator was very slow.
Excellent stay Commenced with really courteous check on staff who gave us choices of sea view or city view. Rooms pretty good sized for city centre hotels.Well equipped and tea making facilities which are not often available in Tunisian hotels.Good bathroom and powerful shower. We went out for dinner so didn't sample but others have told me it is very good. Breakfast was truly great.omelettes, crepes or any type of eggs to order.Very large choice patisserie or croissants.Numerous cheese's,fruit etc.Really enjoyed it.To sum up, although there are cheaper hotels in Sfax,I will pay the extra and stay here again
I've been in the restaurant only. Quiet place. Nice staff. Place is located inside the hotel, but you can go trough the lobby right there even if you don't stay in the hotel. Food is very good and tasty. Interior is as from the old days, light French music. Place is more suitable for romantic dinner for two. Regretfully I was alone.
Nice hotel. Breakfast is good. The bed could be better as it is very hard. I High season there are many tourist on the hotel but still good service. There are good shopping aera nearby. Close to City center.
A very tired looking hotel that is in desperate need of an upgrade from the staff to the rooms. It is well situated if you want to go for a walk in the city which was pleasant as the local people seem to be very friendly with a very neighborly atmosphere in the city. The decor has not been upgraded for a while, the lighting throughout the hotel was very dim (could be cost saving), the rooms, although very large, were okay but there are changes needed. The water pressure needs to be sorted out and the air-cons fixed as it is just a noisy fan. Breakfast was on the 7th floor with potentially great views but the terrace had no tables and chairs and the large windows were shielded by large drapes that have not been changed in a few years (decades) thus leaving you in the dim light again.Breakfast itself was not that great as the variations were limited. More light, happier staff and an upgrade in decor and this place could be really nice. One more thing that old trick of the credit card machine not working so that cash is paid instead was played on us. Take cash if you go there and if not then they will quickly show you where the closest ATM is!!!
The service was good with a big smile, my room was on the Third flour, i like the room very spacious and well kept. the location is the best as it is in the hearth of Sfax not far from the Train Station just few minutes by feet.
Very nice staff. The receptionists are kind and very helpful. The room clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel to anyone seeking the relax. I will come back again to this hotel in the future . I would like to thank everyone working in this hotel because they let me feel very happy during my stay
