Novotel Paris Pont De Sevres4.0 out of 5.0

This is an excellent mid price (don't pay rack rate, negotiate!!) in a good location near (5 mins walk) to Pont de Sevres metro station. I stayed here for French Open tennis & took 20 minutes to get to RG. Great room, very clean, good facilities, quiet & the most comfortable bed have ever slept in. Good selection for breakfast, can't comment on restaurant as I didn't eat here. Very good under ground car park where I left my car for three nights at a good rate.
The greatest advantage of this hotel is that it is close to most of the offices. I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights from 16th May- 20th May and selected this hotel as I am a Le Accor member and this hotel is close enough to my office at Meudon. We arrived a t hotel at around 11.15 Am and the reception said that the rooms are not available and we would be getting the room after 12 PM. We again came back at 12.30 to find the rooms were still not ready. Finally we got our rooms at 1 PM. As we were tired after a long flight waiting for 2 hours was too much to ask for. The rooms were the worst I have ever seen in any hotels. Just a basic bed and TV with a sofa. Bathrooms were very small and carpets very dirty. Only 1 bottle of water in the mini bar.You get better rooms for half the price in a 2 or 3 star hotel in India and other parts of Asia. Certainly not a 4 star property. Breakfast was very limited and there was hardly anyone to attend the guests. Service was pathetic. They need to improve a lot on customer service and need to learn from their other hotels around the world. Talking about service people at reception were accommodating and welcoming. No 24x7 room service was another low point.
I stay in this hotel approx once a year ( when there is no availability at any hotels close to the office). Each visit there is consistent rudeness and arrogance of staff. There are ridiculous rules regarding hold amounts on credit cards, completing additional identity forms, taking photocopies of my passport ( which no other hotel in Paris does). In addition the facilities of the hotel are often broken i.e no hot water, dirty rooms, broken tv's and hairdryers. Wednesday morning when I spoke with reception about the fact there was no hot water for a shower, there was no apology from staff about the inconvenience caused. Customer service/hospitality training is urgently needed for your reception teams- as is a improved maintenance and cleaning regime!
Staying in this hotel with my family already for several times. An average hotel. Old carpets in the rooms, the sinks are not properly cleaned and they are smelling a lot. Today we were waiting for the check out almost for 15 min as the person before us had a problem. It is ok it happens but what was shocking the guy at the reception didn't apologize to my husband, however he did to the person that was waiting behind us. Really disappointed. Will not be my next choice.
Travelled on business, quite area outside perimeter of river Sen I walked 2km to office every day, easy place to walk to, pretty safe location, did not feel intimidating Not many decent places to eat close by and some are very expensive Typical Novotel hotel style targeting families Pleasant, modern and acceptable for short stays. Usual sofa bed plus normal
Service, food, clean of the room were average. It is just a place to go for a night or 2. You are not feeling at home and you feel it. It was convenient because was close to the company that I was visiting
I was visiting BIPM, so, as always, this was the obvious place to stay - across the road. It's expensive- quite the highest per-night price I pay anywhere in the world on my business trips and by far - I paid 200 Euros a night. In some other cities that would get you a suite! But this is Paris and there aren't really any cheap options (I have tried several hotels the other side of the bridge and none of them are really much cheaper). So I explain to those who sign off my expense claims that I don't have much choice and then I enjoy it. Because while I didn't get a suite for that small fortune, I did get impeccable French quality service. The receptionists are very welcoming - and help you struggle through poor French, giving you lots of encouragement, or let you give up and then they respond in perfect English. They even let me check into a room at 10am, and while that can't be guaranteed, it did feel good. (They also have a luggage store, if I remember rightly from a previous visit). The rooms are large double rooms with a separate toilet cubicle and bathroom with real bath. You get a kettle. And good free wifi. What more do you want? Well, yes, there's a good bar to meet up with colleagues in, too. Breakfast has lots of choice - a continental buffet done very well - and plenty of different types of tea. There's space and light. And BIPM is just a stroll across the road, which, given check out is quick, means you can even have a bit of a lie in in that comfy bed, before opening the black-out curtains.
International Coachdriver, 3 nights in the Novotel. Location: 8km by car from the Eiffeltower. Metro stop "Pont de Sevres" (line 9) is close to the hotel. For citytrip this is a good place to stay! Parking: in front of the door. Breakfast: great choice of fruits, bread, cruesli, milk, coffee. Rooms: great room with modern equipment and good bed. Airco, tv, phone etc. Wifi: great free wifi in the hotel! I would go to this hotel next time if i was in Paris! Great value for money. What i experience as "positive" or "negative" is subjective and should be considered as my opinion. I hope that future travellers can benefit of this review.
Stayed at Novotel Paris Pont de Sevres with a tour group. Room and bathroom are basic, clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is okay, with limited choices. Dining area is cramped. Reception staff was helpful with directions. The hotel is walking distance to the last station of one Metro line. The location is inconvenient if you intend to go to the center of Paris often during your stay.
Stayed here for a couple of Nights as a part of Group. While the exterior does not look fascinatinge the interiors are modern and well in line with other Novotel group hotels. The rooms though clean and well decorated, seemed to be really crunched. We also had a poor experience where in there was a theft right from the hotel reception while many of us were sitting and we had absolutely no support from the hotel management even to have a look at CCTV cameras. While it is accepted that there are internal procedures and controls everywhere but not at the loss of convenience to customers. This seemed to be an one off experience with Novotel group hotels.
