Leaking Ceiling Ruined Our Sevilla Stay
As soon as my partner and I got to the apartment, we realized that there were many things wrong with it. First off, the apartment did not seem clean, as there was dirt in the corners in each room, and we saw ants in both the kitchen area and the bathroom. We also discovered that the door to the fridge was broken, and it would frequently come off of its hinges, which took some effort to put back on. Additionally, the nightstand nearest to the door had a broken hinge as well, so we did not feel comfortable trying to open it. These all seemed like pretty minor issues and we would have been willing to live with it, except for the biggest issue: leaking ceiling in the bathroom. There is a hole in the ceiling directly above the toilet, and it would frequently drip water on us while we were using the toilet. We have no idea what kind of water was coming out of it, but we fear it may have been sewage. We immediately messaged the host of Vrbo of these issues, expecting a prompt resolution, and were told someone would be in contact the next day. We never received any other message from this company, even as we messaged with regularity as the leak worsened. We were eventually able to call the host, and informed him of the issues (which he seemed to have no knowledge of), and he asked me to message him on Whats App to get a solution faster. He never responded to my messages, and we ended up having to deal with these issues for the entire duration of the trip. Do not rent with them!
