Beware, very steep drive up to the cabin. I rented this place to come down for a car show. In the listing it shows 4 parking spaces in a relatively flat area. Upon arriving with my truck and trailer, I noticed that it was in fact not flat, not only was the drive incredibly steep but portions of the driveway were very steep as well. We called to try and see if we could cancel for any kind of partial refund and they told us that was not possible. Had I known it was that steep I wouldn’t have booked it. Other complaints include - a few dead bugs on the basement stairs, the grill that was pictured in the listing was non existent, the hot tub was very old and most jets didn’t work. For the money there are far better options. I’ve come down here every year for the past few years and this is by far the worst cabin rental experience I’ve had. “The Grand Welcome” was not helpful with any of our concerns. While the cabin interior itself was okay everything else was mediocre. We ended up only staying in this place for half of the time and getting a hotel room for the remainder of the trip.

Good place, adventurous entry
We had a very good time. There were alot of beds so that everybody had a place to sleep. You are up among the trees so the name is perfect to describe. There is a very steep road up to the house and into the parking area and at times is one way. We were in a 15 passenger van so it is doable but we would always pray we didnt meet anyone when we were going up or down that part. The big kids/young adults loved the pool table. Many enjoyed the hot tub. But what we enjoyed the most was watching the mama bear and 3 cubs play in the back yard. What a treat! Also the company that manages the home is very responsive. When we had a need they immediately solved our problem. Not perfect by any means but we would definitely stay here again.

Mini-Vacation
Nice property overall. The pool accessible was unavailable but a late checkout was granted to accommodate for the loss. Some problems with dirty floors. Overall property was fairly pleasant.

Place was ok
For the bad: The upstairs shower was not cleaned. The shower floor was dirty and there were hairs on the towels. Some of the silverware was sticky dirty. The beds are not comfortable. It would be nice if the light switches were labeled and the pool sticks were missing the tips. The house as a whole needs a good look through and repairs. If I was staying longer than two days, I would have been very unhappy. For the good: the location is nice and the house was good for what we needed. I like the little packets for each bathroom and kitchen with soap, lotion, shampoo, etc.
