The cabin wasn’t terrible but there are a few things to note. There is no heat in the basement, where there is also no actual bed (just a sleeper sofa). Location wasn’t bad but please prepare yourself for the trip up to the cabin (one lane drive and steep) Water pressure in master bedroom wasn’t great but the bathroom was spacious. Hot tub was very nice along with the game room, which is actually the 3rd bedroom.

All the Cabin Vibes
If you're looking for a remote cabin with pretty views, yet close to all the Pigion Forge action... this is the place for you. Our family of five ... no littles, only adult children... landed here for a long weekend just after Christmas. The road to get to the cabin is steep and windy, but that is clearly communicated by the host. There is plenty of room to spread out with two main bedrooms, three bathrooms and a gameroom downstairs. That third "bedroom" is a stretch, but there is a bathroom down there and a pull out couch. The cabin was very clean aside from an issue with some of the sheets not being clean to our liking. There were spares available, so everyone was able to sleep. The hosts are very accommodating and are excellent communicators. They want to you love their cabin as much as they do! They care about your experience, and it shows.

RENTAL BEWARE
Since we can only have 1000 characters, I cannot put all the reasons this cabin wasn't a good fit for us. I also see past guests get rebutted comments. I don't have the time for that so I'll just say, we will not be returning and I'd recommend you research other cabins. I'd be more than happy to discuss with anyone who wants to. Unfortunately this was a disaster from the get go. Faults from both sides. Yes I'm taking accountability for our fault. I'll just leave this as, find somewhere else.

Wonderful Family Cabin
What a great property. Our family had a fabulous time at this property. In addition to all the Great Smoky Mountains had to offer, we found our self enjoying all the property offered as well. We utilized the hot tub and game room in the evenings. The property was clean, beautiful scenery and large decks where we also spent a lot of time. These memories will last a lifetime. Thank you for opening your wonderful property to others to enjoy.

Best getaway
Our stay here was perfect. Had plenty to do, from shooting pool to enjoying the hot tub we stayed busy. Our first 2 nights was a little rocky because we had a group of college kids up the hill from us and they were loud. Other than that I really had no other issues.

Amazing time!
The cabin was fully stocked and everything was labled clearly. We enjoyed family time in the mountains with some great Christmas movies and memories that will last forever. The path to the cabin could use a little work but i think once all of the construction on that road is finished that will help out a lot. We truly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy and felt like home! I wish it would have not rained so much but we still had an amazing time!

Family Vacation at Dancing Bear Cabin
We rented Dancing Bear cabin with our daughter and her family. Together we had four adults and two boys, ages 6 and 10. The cabin accommodated all of us comfortably and the game room downstairs was a big hit with the boys. The cabin is nicely maintained, with lots of personal decorative touches and it is also well situated to all of the area attractions. The view from the porch, though partially blocked by trees, is still very nice. The surrounding cabins are closer than we expected based on the listing pictures, and there is also new cabin construction nearby. The access road was more challenging then anticipated and our daughters vehicle could not make it up the initial steep gravel incline and around the first sharp turn, so we had to find somewhere safe to park her vehicle for a week. We contacted the host, who responded quickly but could not help us. We finally found a place 30 minutes away that charged us $200.00 to park, adding an unexpected expense to our trip. Since we also needed two vehicles to transport our whole group at the same time, having just one vehicle was an added inconvenience. The cabin itself is beautiful, but the problems we had with the access road and that the cabin is in a more populated area than we expected, is why we rated it as only four stars.

Peaceful
We had a wonderful family getaway at Dancing Bear Cabin. The property is secluded and quiet. The view is limited but still beautiful. Our family of seven had plenty of room to relax. The home has an upstairs bedroom with a king bed and master bath. On main floor, a queen bedroom with large full bath ( shared to the main living room area with separate door). Living room couch pulls out to queen sleeper. Downstairs game room with a queen pullout sofa ( not secluded as it sits directly at bottom of the stairs). Overall, plenty of sleeping room and plenty of room to enjoy the home and the peaceful privacy. The road leading up to cabin is very tight and some parts under construction. Property owners were very thoughtful and attentive throughout our trip. Overall, We had a great stay and would return to stay here.
We had a great time at the cabin. It is clean and very well maintained. We would highly recommend it. The owners are great with the communications. The mountain road to get to the cabin is interesting take it slow and you will have no issues in a SUV. Ground clearance in a low car could be a problem but I have a low riding SUV and had no issues. The cabin has a 14-50 plug outside so making charging your electric car a breeze. You will not be disappointed in booking this cabin.

Great week!
We had a great week at this wonderful cabin hidden in the mountains. My husband and I and our adult children had plenty of room to spread out. Whether it was playing a game of pool, chilling in the hot tub, reading on the porch, or napping in front of the tv - a fun time was had by all!

Great communication and our favorite vacation yet
The property was great, clean and communication was excellent. I would say the property sleeps four adults comfortably and then kids can sleep on sofa beds. It has two regular beds and then two sofa beds. Worked great for us but the kids would have preferred to have a bed for 7 nights. I should have looked at pictures and the listing better so that was my fault not the property owners.

Decent cabin but could be so much better
Cabin has great space and great potential. Cleaning could be so much better and more attention to detail paid doing so. There were also gnats and scorpions which didn’t make for an exceptional stay. Owners did communicate and send someone out from pest control, but it didn’t remedy the issue while we were there.

Exceptional property
I can't say enough about this property. From communication with the host to the location/amenities/property, it was all exceptional. My oldest broke her tailbone and Vern was so gracious to give recommendations on things we could do with her since a lot of the things we initially had planned had to be cancelled. The property was clean, had everything we needed, and the location was perfect.

Tennessee Mountain Cabin
It really had everything that we needed. Though, our first drive to the cabin made me nervous (I'm from Michigan), it was absolutely fine. It was an added bonus that there were board games, a pool table, and foosball table in the basement! The wrap around porches were perfect to go out on to sip our coffee in the morning and in the evening to sit in the hot tub. We had a lovely stay!

Tennessee Vacation
Had a great stay at the Dancing Bear Cabin. Plenty clean throughout. Not so far from the action of the "Main Drag", but not so close to the chaos either. Loved the hot-tub, though having the only way of access going through the third "bedroom" was a bit of a bummer. I especially loved the two deck levels, however, and how they overlooked things; found it VERY relaxing! Plenty to enjoy, from Anakeesta Mountain and a Country Dance Show, public basketball courts and the GOAT Mountain Ride to just the simple nature of the Smoky Mountains. Would even recommend Boss Hoggs BBQ Shack as well. Not enough time to do a lot of things and relax at the same time, but comfortable the entire time in the residence. Even enjoyed getting in some games of pool, so thank you! Only concern may be the road to get to the cabin, but still Highly Recommend staying there. Brian S.

Wears Valley hideaway from the bustle of the strip
A great location to tap into everything you want to from the Gatlinburg Smokey Mountain area without fighting the people and business of being on the strip. Very private area with plenty for the kids to do and space to just be. Is everything top line furnishings, no, but for the price no one should leave this property anything but highly satisfied with the experience. Communication with the managers was outstanding. Would definitely stay there again! Helpful tip, the IGA in Townsend was easy in and out and had a proper selection of everythign you'll need. The main drag (321) had some great General Stores as well with gift shops, ornaments, soufeniers, etc. Tennessee Shine Company is not even 10 minutes away as well. Peaceful Side Social Brewery and Crafy Kitchen is right next to the IGA and had a great menu for everyone and the beers and ciders were top shelf. Nice indoor/outdoor dining area as well with a great vibe. Big fan of Wears Valley!
