This brand-new 3-bedroom luxury cabin has all the comforts of home plus much more! You will love all the modern finishes like granite countertops, stack-stone fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling glass gable wall and large high-definition TVs in each room. Individually owned but professionally managed by Summit Cabin Rentals, this secluded cabin is located in Wears Valley and is situated on a ridge with breathtaking views overlooking a peaceful valley in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

THE NAME
Mountain JERNĒ was named after the owner’s kids. Two families of best friends teamed up to create a rental property business using the first letter of their five children’s names to create a play on words and create an amazing “JERNĒ” (journey) for each and every property. The properties they create, along with the professional management of Summit are sure to give you the BEST mountain JERNĒ you can imagine!

THE PROPERTY
The Master Bedroom Suite (Main floor) is equipped with 1 King bed along with a TV and dresser, with an attached full bathroom. The second bedroom also has a King bed, TV and dresser. The third bedroom has 1 bunk bed (twin over full) along with 2 Pull-out Sofas (upstairs and downstairs) There are 2 Full Bathrooms and 1 Half Bathroom conveniently located right off the main living area.
Mountain JERNĒ has everything you need for the perfect vacation to the Smoky Mountains! The large, open floorplan features a main floor master bedroom and full master bathroom with custom walk-in shower. The living space features a large seating area with high-end furniture to relax and take in the view from the floor-to-ceiling glass gable wall by the stacked-stone fireplace and 60” TV! The main floor also includes a full kitchen with granite countertops, counter seating, a half bathroom and laundry.

The spacious kitchen has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals, stocked and ready for your family get-togethers and holidays! The open dining area has seating for 6 at the table plus 3 at the bar counter. Looking to cook over open flame? You’ll have a grill to treat the family to your favorite grilled cuisine.

The lower level is home to 1 full bathroom and 2 bedrooms, each with a flat screen TV. Enjoy some family fun in the spacious game room, complete with large TV, fireplace, pool table and gaming system! The lower level also features a private deck with a hot tub. Enjoy your own private outdoor firepit with an evening overlook that will leave you speechless.
All bedrooms feature memory foam mattresses and smart, flat screen TVs. The cabin includes free high-speed WiFi throughout along with Roku/Firestick connected to each TV so you can log on to your personal Netflix, Hulu, etc. to enjoy your favorite entertainment.

The location of Mountain JERNĒ is truly one of its best amenities. Located on a ridge overlooking the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, you will be immersed in nature’s beauty and serenity. The cabin is off Indigo Road just at the entrance into Wears Valley and has gorgeous mountains inhabited by incredible wildlife like white-tailed deer and hummingbirds. Stunning Views and Beautiful House

Overall we were very happy with the house! It was very clean and the views from the balcony were awesome! Only hiccup was it was lady bug season so there were quite a few lady bugs on the large windows in the living room. Other than that though our stay was wonderful

Private Peaceful Smokey Mountain Adventure

We loved our cabin up in the mountains away from Hussle and bustle of the Pigeon Forge area that is truly like being in Vegas. 30 miles away and fun to visit, eat, and shop. It was comfy, clean, and felt brand new. The balcony's were our favorite for star gazing at night and the peaceful birdsong mornings. All the amenities were within a 10-20 minute drive. Highly recommend renting this cabin, great location, great management company, peaceful, quiet, and lots of beautiful woods to venture through.

I loved the property, super clean, saw wildlife. Only issue is the drive up the mountain is kind of rough. You just have to go fast but it is scary since it’s gravel.

Great Home, Amazing Views

We had a great stay. The house was clean and everything was as described. The only issue we ran into was with the ping pong net and balls but we managed to make it work. The driveway is very steep but we got used to it throughout our stay. There is construction happening close by, but it didn't bother us. Overall though, the house was beautiful, comfortable, and fit our needs. The view was also amazing, and probably our favorite part.

Good: The cabin itself was perfect for our needs. Layout and amenities were as described. The location isn’t bad, though the pictures make it look more remote than it actually is. Bad: There was a lot of construction going on all around us. We even lost our electricity for a period of time. A lot of large traffic up and down the shared drive all day long. There is a lot of trash scattered around the area from the construction going on. The road to the cabin was rough and in poor shape. There were wasps in the cabin and one even stung my wife. We killed 4 or 5 during our stay.

Great property!

The cabin is clean and has great views! It feels secluded without actually being too far from attractions. I dealt with Summit Rentals for a few small things (chirping smoke detector, fresh propane tanks) and they were incredibly friendly and prompt every time - really exceptional customer service! Things to note: -THE ROAD: it’s not as bad as some of the reviews lead you to believe. Totally manageable with a confident driver. We drove my 2WD minivan and had no problems, even in the rain. Be warned though that if you look at the listing for this cabin on Summit Rentals website, it states that 4x4 is necessary, and that is not mentioned in the Vrbo listing. I wouldn’t try this road without 4x4 in the winter. -CONSTRUCTION: there is construction noise from the 3 surrounding homes, 2 of which are directly off the balcony and pretty close. During the week, construction started around 9am and was loud on some days. -BASEMENT: the breaker keeps tripping for the basement, so the power downstairs would be out every evening when we got back. The basement is also probably 10 degrees colder than the main level. -HOT TUB: half of the jets don’t work -POOL TABLE: if you care about playing pool seriously, this table isn’t great. But if you’re just playing for fun, it works just fine! We booked a few of the free tickets through Explorie and they were super friendly and easy to work with. Overall, we all really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staring here again!

Great view

The view is great. The cabin was very clean. They have almost everything you would need for a visit. Beds were pretty comfy. I will say the driveway was never paved in the Spring like they said it would be. I have AWD so i didn't have any issues getting to the cabin but i feel it's important and wanted to let others know. As also stated, there is construction on all sides of the cabin. It was a bummer but not as bad as I thought it would be. Once the construction is done I would definitely come back. One of the better cabins we have stayed at. The only real annoyance for me was the wasps. They know how to get in and I couldn't figure out where but I killed a total of 6 inside the cabin and 2 outside. They did have wasp spray under the sink for us to use but I didn't want to use it in the cabin. Overall I would give the stay 4.5/5. Once construction is done it will be a great stay. We would consider another visit.

Nice view

Cabin was nice getting up to it was a challenge road was washed out with big pot holes on each side (no mention of not being paved.) Nothing was said about cabins was being built just below this Cabin and on the side of it. Music and nail guns was starting at 8:00 am plus the Loud Mexicans talking and Yelling not something to wake up to wanted peace and tranquility. Let’s not forget about the port a potty right out door.

Great place for a relaxing Bach party

I loved staying here, it was super relaxing being a hit away from the world and the view was incredible! Construction was going on so we had a little issue with the one way roads and finding the cabin, but besides that it was perfect! Loved the amenities.

beautiful cabin, very clean and new, just a few details, the bathroom door downstairs does not have a lock, the plugs downstairs stop working frequently and the road to get to the cabin is a bit complicated, other than that it is a beautiful place to spend family vacations very nice view.

Fun family get away

Beautiful home and wonderful views. Several new builds in close proximity with lots of work crews/trucks which made early morning wake ups (sometimes before 7am) but once the homes are finished it will be amazing. Overall loved the stay and will hopefully be back soon.

Beautiful Location & Home

We really enjoyed our time at this home! Stunning views, clean and modern. The only negative takeaway is the road leading up to the cabin (especially the last curve) was very difficult to navigate. It is narrow, steep and unpaved. We did get stuck in the gravel on our first try. I think if we didn't have the trek back up the hill looming every day this would have been a 10/10. Otherwise, I highly recommend this home!

We had a great time!

The cabin was great, very nice cabin with excellent furnishings. Very clean and comfortable. The only hitch was the road up to the cabin, it was very steep and even with the large SUV, we had difficulty the first time up. The road is covered in rocks which shift under your wheels as you drive up because of the steepness of the road. A 4X4 may not have the same issue.

Peaceful with an amazing view

Our family enjoyed our weekend at the cabin. The drive to the top was a bit scary, but once you make it up the first time, you're more confident going up again. It was worth it - we enjoyed the beautiful cabin and the amazing view! Will definitely book here again.

Beautiful Mountain Home

This property is a beautiful mountain home. The view off the back porch is very pretty, even with the recent fire going through the area. This home was nit damaged. The layout of the cabin is nice and to have the extra half bath is great with multiple people in home. Plenty of space to spread out and the kids really enjoyed the pool table downstairs. The master bath was a great size and the shower was amazing. The Adventure Power Pass we received with this home rental was Awesome...we took advantage of several Free tickets and also some discounted ones for other attractions as well...so that was a Very Nice perk! It was a little disappointing that 2 of the bedrooms didn't have closets and the only closet in the house was downstairs in the bunk room. Also, the directions to the house were a little vague because this home isn't directly on Indigo Lane, so a sign on the main road for Mountain Jerne would have been helpful to know where to go. If you have a larger car like we did, the main mountain road getting to this home is small. We didn't run into anyone on it, but it will be a Very tight squeeze if you do. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. This is a very lovely mountain home and fairly close (20ish minutes mountain roads) to Pigeon Forge. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! :)
