If you want a view, this is the spot! The cabin its self is super cozy, has a nice porch swing and several rocking chairs. The hot tub is very nice/clean and over looks the amazing view. Unfortunately, pictures make the rooms look a little bit bigger than what they actually are so we had a tight squeeze with our babies pack’n play.

Wonderful stay exactly as described in listing :)
Great weekend getaway! We had two young adult couples stay in the rental for 3 nights. We had no issues. Hot tub was great and very private. The rental was clean and in a safe area with an awesome view. The bathrooms and kitchen were stocked with plenty of soap, shampoo, dish detergent, and paper towels. There were plenty of towels for 4 people to use the hot tub and shower. We received check-in and check-out instructions in a timely manner. The rental is about 55 minutes from Gatlinburg and 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge.
The only minor problem we had was that the wifi was slow. However, our Verizon cellphones had good service, so we just used them as a hotspot when needed.
One improvement that could be made is to add a Roku with streaming services to the TV rather than having DirecTV. That is somewhat of a personal preference though :)
Overall a great weekend, and we would definitely stay here again if we come back to this area!

The plumbing and cleaning could use some work...
The house was spacious, cooled down and stayed cool quickly. This was our third stay in Douglas Lake Resort since 2020.
The toilets--everytime someone flushed the other toilet the toilet other toilet would gurgle and would cause water and whatever was in the bowl to splash back on you. That's pretty yucky in my opinion.
Clening- the upper deck had trash on it leftover from a previous guest. Additionally corners were kind of dusty and needed a deep clean.
We had a great time, but I will likely look for a different cabin the next time we stay.

Family getaway
This cabin was great except the hot water was turned off (we found the breaker after the 2nd day and turned it back on) and there was sand in the hot tub. Other than that it was a quite little community and a great view.
