Misleading and dirty

This cabin was listed as sleeping 10. That leads me to believe that it will accommodate 10 people. We had a total of 5 and had booked for 5 days. We could have made do with the limited number of towels and washclothes, had the washing machine worked properly. Every time I attempted to wash a load, the machine stopped working and left the clothes sitting in water. Clothes were not washed, not rinsed, and not spun out. Further more, the bottom of the machine had black oily stuff in it. The hardwood floors on the first floor was also filthy. I was filling a water bottle and had accidentally ran it over with a little water. Took a paper towel to wipe up the small spill, and after 2 swipes, the paper towel was literally black. I was so surprised that I took pictures. I can't stand a dirty house, so I looked for a broom and mop to wash the floors. I found the mop on the back porch covered in black filth. We couldn't use the back porch at all, because we found 8 big black bags of garbage piled up. Not to mention food scattered all over. We were going to clean it up, but low and behold, we only had 1 trash bag for the entire 5 days. We then thought that we would at least carry the trash to the bins at the side of the house, but those were also full. The house was very dusty and is in need of updating. The hand can opener handle was broke in half. Fire pit didn't work, and the outdoor grill was filthy. Took 20 mins of solid scrubbing to get it clean enough for food.

Things to know

This cabin is small. We tried to watch a movie in the livingroom and it was very uncomfortable. There wasn't enough seating. The TV is hung up pretty high so you strain your neck. Also none of the TVs are hooked up to any kind of satellite or cable. So make sure to bring a roku. It was hot during the day and terribly cold at night. Bring your own blankets because theirs are rough and itchy. Master bedroom is upstairs and the ac vent is hung high on the wall and behind the door. It didn't cool down if the bedroom door was open. No dresser or closet in the master bedroom and there was only 4 hangers. So bring your own. When you walk in the bathroom upstairs it smells of urine. There is very little water pressure for the shower. Outside the fire pit was covered up tightly. We were hoping the kids could roast marshmallows but we couldn't. The picnic table on the front deck was covered in big black ants so we couldn't use that either. And inside there were roaches. There is a pool table upstairs but there is not room to play. It was very frustrating.I normally don't write bad reviews because times are tough and people are just trying to make it by but having spent as much money as we did without any chance of a refund to go someplace else I felt like I needed to write this. I wouldn't stay again.
