This hotel is terrific. The location is great and within walking distance of many restaurants; even though it isn't beachfront it's just a short walk across the road to the beach at the Westin (the sister property). You have access to Seven Mile Beach, towels, and other amenities at the Westin which is terrific, of course covered by the resort fee. Seven Mile Beach is absolutely stunning and great for both lounging and swimming. We've been to countless beaches in the Caribbean and this is definitely among our favorite beaches now. The water was so calm and clear and we didn't encounter any large areas of rocks or seaweed either like you might find elsewhere. Our room was nice and clean as well; slightly dated but still nice. Wifi worked well every time we used it. All staff we encountered during our stay were helpful and friendly too. The included continental breakfast was perfectly sufficient; not a lot of variety but we never went hungry. The onsite restaurant (Sunshine Grill) was nice as well and had great food. Parking was plentiful. We very much enjoyed our time here, had no issues, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Grand Cayman.

AC temp control was disabled or broken so was unable to adjust the room temperature. It was set way too cold and had to unplug the unit periodically to warm the room up. They tend to skimp on the wash clothes and towels. Only one wash cloth per room, seemingly without regard to how many people are present. Asked for extra, but appears I would have to ask every single day for extras. Wash clothes are not something you reuse. That is unsanitary. In my opinion, towels also. If you work out and need to take additional showers, you've already used a towel twice. Use of the Westin facilities makes this a very good location to reduce the trip expense just a bit. Cayman is a bit pricey, but the cleanliness and low crime rate are attractive.

I loved my stay at the Sunshine. The room is spacious and very comfortable. Being able to use the Westin facilities was certainly a big plus. All in all a great experience at the beautiful Cayman Island

Nice small resort with a great restaurant, access to all the Westin facilities across the street, staff were all very friendly

Runs out of hot water during certain parts of the day. Bathroom electricity turned off for unknown reason during one of the nights. Needs a varied breakfast. Good proximity to beach and use of sister property. Overall okay budget resort without spending too much.

Convenient to the beach on top of stellar Westin amenities included in the daily resort fee. Rooms are a bit dated but still good value.

Definitely worth staying here - resort fee is worth it - on site restaurant is fantastic - short walk to the 7 mile beach, gift shop/market and liquor store. You can't really ask for more!

Nice hotel near the beach. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

Nice hotel close to beach. Facilities of the Westin across the streets can be utilized. Hotel staff is very professional, friendly, helpful and responsive to needs and wishes. The grill restaurant on site has very tasty food.

Great to have free breakfast and a restaurant on site is AWESOME! Quick easy walk or shuttle to beach. Great for the price!

Great experience. Courteous & helpful staff, comfortable bed, awesome amenities at the sister resort, Sunshine Grill had delicious food. Can’t wait to go back.

We just got back from a five day stay at the sunshine suites over valentines week and it was a great place to stay although the $375 US per night was definitely not equal to the amenities. The free breakfast was basically coffee, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and cheap bulk breakfast bread items. So you had the option to walk to the Westin and pay for a decent "cooked" meal. The staff was wonderful and very polite and accommodating. For people looking to go out and about take the city buses "small vans" same as taxis but only a few dollars to go most places when the taxis were $40-70 for the same distance. Food and drinks are pretty pricey for what you're getting everywhere in the caymans, there was a full fridge and freezer in the suite so we went to Blackbeards liquor around the corner and stocked up in drinks, and went to fosters grocery maybe a 10min walk from the hotel for snacks and groceries. We like to get out and about the places we travel and not just hang out at resorts and this might help others trying to save money on food and drinks anywhere from 11-27$ for cocktails and 5-10$ beers. All in all it was great and sunshine was great

Rooms were small but comfortable. Small kitchenette but I ate at the restaraunt instead. My room was on the back of the property so there was a fair amount of road noise. All in all, a good experience. Staff was super friendly.

Staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. Nice to be able to walk across to Westin and use the beach, bar etc. not the high end fancy place but nice location.

Overall nice mid-scale hotel 5 min walk from the beach. Pros: Very nice large new TV, comfortable mattresses, mini-kitchen, large refrigerator. Very nice bonus is the ability to use Westin facilities: awesome beach, spa, shuttle to Camana Bay. Cons: Smaller bathroom, very low water pressure in the shower, no private balcony, no place to hang swimsuits and other clothes to dry other than the small bathroom.

Great property steps from the beach. Sandwiched in between several 5-star properties tat cost 3x more. Great property for the business traveler or family on a budget.

The suites are very old. The bathtub was in very bad need of being replaced. It was very stained, and bulging from the bottom. Very strange. I have never experienced anything like that. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. I thought for the shape of the units, the price was exorbitant. Great food at the Sunshine Cafe. I would give that 5 Gold Stars.

Hotel is centrally located to everything really, and with a rental, easy movement to down town and surrounding areas.. beach is just across the street to the Westin, so no problema, good stay
